We serve latin inspired cuisine in a "tapas" style format. Our restaurant is small and quaint so it makes a great place for a date night or a get together with friends.

Red snapper was cooked perfectly and wine suggestion by the server was spot on to compliment. If you are looking for a low key, intimate location to dine, this is the restaurant for you!

Mor and Christine have built and setup an amazing place that I will absolutely go back too! The food is amazing, you have to try the mussels! The menu is well curated and has a great fusion of styles and varieties that covers your carnivores to your vegetarians. I went there on a date and we both left happier than we came in!

So glad that we had friends recommend this restaurant. Mo and Kathryn were great hosts. Everything we tried was excellent. We loved the mussels and octopus especially. Cauliflower and prawns were also very good. Sauces and broths were perfect. Great depth of flavors. Excellent wine choices at good price points. Next time we will sit outside to enjoy the nice weather. Thanks again for a great meal. We will definitely be back!

Fun place with good food. Innovative, perfectly prepared and delicious food. Two of us shared Pork meatballs, Baby Beet salad and then the Carne Asada which had, tender, delicious meat, potatoes and greens. Only problem we had was being seated under the music speaker and A/C output so it was noisy and chilly for us. However, we enjoyed the food and interaction with the wait person. We gave our compliments to the chef who was very gracious. He is very talented and I hope they do well.

Tried the octopus. Agree with previous reviews. Really good. Pork belly and meatball appetizers are really good too. Carne asada is an excellent entree to share. Last but not least the flan is unique in a good way.

Much needed Oak Lawn neighborhood restaurant! Everything we ordered was out of bounds good and we will be back. They even treated me to a free flan for my birthday!

This was our first dinner at Modest Roger’s, and it was amazing! It was one of the best experiences we have had at a restaurant. Katherine and Mo make you feel like you’re dining at their kitchen table and not a restaurant. They are so inviting and welcoming it just feels so special. The food that Mo and his team put out of the kitchen is top notch. Do yourself a favor and order the Tostado, blue prawns, pork belly, Carne Asado and beet salad. Each of those dishes brought huge flavors and fresh, high quality ingredients. Also make sure to buy a round of beers for the kitchen after your dinner, they all deserve it. Thanks again to Mo and Katherine fir a wonderful night.

Reservations highly recommended. The place is small, but a great atmosphere. I love that you can see into the kitchen. Nothing happens fast and that is a good thing enjoy your visit with your friends. They now sell alcohol.

Super good food. Best mussels ever. The carne asada was wonderful on my first visit. Last night I had the red Snapper. …..delicious! The Chef is amazing!
