Our décor is warm and modern. The tradition has always been dark wood, leathers and a muted palette for a steakhouse. We broke the mould and decided to add hand-selected music that reflects us! We’re more like Jay Z and less like Sinatra.

We only serve ranch specific Alberta Beef. That means we don’t serve beef from anywhere else on the planet. We know our farmers and ranchers personally and respect the hard work they put in to produce our beef.

We are one of just a handful of steakhouses in Canada that serves, Grass-fed, Grain-fed, Wet-aged, Dry-aged and Wagyu beef 365 days a year. Our beef is always fresh never frozen.

We use a 1800 degree Infrared Grill to cook your steaks. The high heat creates a flavourful crust on the outside of the steak and leaves a juicy centre.

    We went for Father's Day, there was an issue the caused a longer dinning experience. However, this was welcomed as we had time to enjoy our appetizers! Our waiter and the manager were amazing, they checked in frequently as we waited for our food. The following day, I received a call from the manager again apologizing for the lengthy wait times for our main course. This is above and beyond! We will 100% return. The food, service and restaurant were fantastic. Only down side was we found it to be loud (but they were a full house)

    We had been struggling with Modern Steak for quite some time even after many attempts at their Stephen Ave location. We always found the service to be rather lackluster even downright rude all down to two servers that we just seemed to keep getting. Pair that with the drug problem that Stephen Ave struggles with and we lost the desire for it even though we kept coming back for the rooftop DJs. However, we decided to try their South location and we can't say enough wonderful things about it. The hostess was extremely pleasant and welcoming and our waitress was friendly, kind and attentive. We will return here for Modern Steak moving forward. Thank you for having us!

    Great service and food. The selection is great with steak, seafood and pasta. We had a seafood appetizer platter for two which was delicious. Spicy shrimp spaghetti is one of my new favourites. Thanks for a great evening
