   From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The service was warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced — never rushed, but always attentive. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between upscale and welcoming, with a stylish, modern interior that still feels comfortable. We started with the seafood tower — fresh, beautifully presented, and a perfect opener. For mains, the steak was simply next level. Perfectly cooked, beautifully marbled, and full of rich, bold flavour. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their beef. The wine list is deep and curated, and our server made a great pairing recommendation that elevated the entire meal. A special shoutout to the staff who made our night feel personal and memorable. Modern Steak Southport is truly a standout in Calgary’s dining scene — can’t wait to return.

   We went for the Wednesday romantic steak night deal. Our meals were excellent and the service was amazing. We are retired and don't get out much, and are very glad we celebrated our anniversary at Modern Steak.

   Loved it! Date night was awesome, the only complaint I have is, I was not crazy about the table we were seated at, next time I will request a cosy, quiet table

   We went for Wednesday Date Night special. Food was delicious, and great deal Dinner for two with a bottle of wine for 99.00

   This fine dining experience was as we'd hope. One simple note of concern: on the Open Table booking, we'd mentioned our wedding anniversary... no acknowledged it. That was our only dissatisfied point. Other than that, it was great.

   We have been to quite a few higher end steak houses in the city, it’s our go to date night. We decided to give it a shot as we have heard a few good things. Our staff was overwhelmingly friendly, yet it took a few visits to get our drinks ordered, and again felt like forever before we had our order taken. Truffle popcorn for a table starter? Ok.. that’s different. If you don’t like Brussels sprouts, your only option is beets, or mushrooms. The steak was honestly sub, and priced like it was gold crusted. Will not be returning or recommending. Check out chairman’s in mahogany, much better.
