   What a lovely place. We went for happy hour. It is so nice to visit a restaurant where you can hear the people at the table when they speak! The food is excellent as was the service. There is something about a restaurant when the owner is there, engaging with the customers. The happy hour burger is delicious and it comes with a salad. The Caesar salad is large and wonderfully chopped up. For oyster lovers it is heavenly.

   We began with drinks at the bar which were great - perfect service and so comfortable with a wonderful vibe. We then were seated as a table of 7. I have to say that Elise is the best waitress I've probably ever experienced. She wonderfully managed our table and even crafted an exceptional tin foil hat for the birthday boy!! We will be back soon...for a third time!

   The happy hour oysters were delicious with excellent martinis. Our waiter was helpful and even bought us wine “tastings” before we ordered our drinks. We’ll definitely go back.

   We started with a dozen oysters and they were as always fresh & delish!! The cocktails outstanding specifically the Manhattan & the Old Fashioned!! I did have an aperol spritz, and most bartenders tend to put way too much app in, but this was perfect!! Three of us had the steak frites I have to say probably one of the best steaks all of us has ever had!!! The service was outstanding Cat stopped by the table a couple Times to check in --the evening was divine. Will  definitely keep it on our top 10 list.

   it checks all the boxes! Service, food and ambience are great. it is a neighborhood gem

   This is my second dinner and it was excellent. The food, the service the ambience everything was excellent exceeded all expectations in all categories. Really surprised that this place isn’t a two hour wait to get in. If you’re not eating at modern Grill you’re not eating good food.

   We sat on patio and service and food was very good . There were a party of 3 and food was great and service was very attentive . We will be back !!!

   Very nice place with an excellent variety of foods. Our food was excellent and our server was very pleasant to deal with. An overall great evening.

    That was one of the best sea bass fish dinners I have ever had. The fish and the sauce were marvelous. My husband had the fish and chips and he liked it so much and wants to come back and have it again. the service was attentive but not "in your face". No problem finding parking which has really gotten to be an issuer in Phoenix now with all the tourons and increased population.
