Strange to be in the restaurant with very others. Guess on Canada Day people are off to the country. Despite the lack of customers service was quite slow even though we had a very pleasant server.

The Tomahawk steak was great and good value for the $99 on Sundays. Added a lobster tail and it was tiny for the price and pretty chewy. Have had better lobster at the Keg. The service was good. Overall value…tough to say. The waiter was good about trying to make it a good experience. The manager who came around was ineffective. It was nice to be asked about how our experience was going, but he pretty much ignored the gentle feedback we were trying to provide.

Novel concept to have one section of the restaurant for seafood and one for steak. Shared kitchen means you can have either or both. In addition, the 5 or more dessert choices actually meet a high mark. I enjoyed the rare treat of a Baked Alaska. Price point for lunch is good value for such quality. I look forward to returning again and again.

My boyfriend and I took my parents there for the Thursday night surf and turf deal. Absolutely delicious! I would absolutely recommend this for a date night, celebration, or to treat yourself. It's a fantastic value, and modern is always on point with their service and the ambience.

Great place for some tasty seafood. I had the TOGARASHI AHI TUNA and thought it was a bit spicy for my taste but my husband had the SABLE FISH and it was perfect. Great selection of drinks and wine. Service is superb. Check it out!

The menu has a great variety of seafood selections from which to choose. We each ordered something different and everyone really enjoyed their meal. They have some tempting "turf" selections too, but we didn't try them. The service was professional.

Coming here for my anniversary dinner was the best decision made. My fiance and I are huge fans of Modern Steak, so of course we had to try the sister restaurant! We came a day after they introduced the seafood platter to the menu and it was amazing both to our palate and our wallet. The king crab legs were our favorite as it was extremely fresh and sweet. The east coast oysters were delicious and we couldn't get enough of it! The lobster tail did feel a tad but over cooked as it has lost the typical flavor of the lobster. But overall everything was beyond satisfactory! Our waiter was constantly checking in and ensuring everything was going well and kept our water topped off at all times. We were extremely pleased and they definitely upheld the standard that we loved so much from Modern Steak. We will be back for sure!

As this was our anniversary, and we wanted to dine somewhere special. This was our first experience at Modern Ocean. The service was unsurpassed; the food was a pleasure as it was not RUN-OF-THE-MILL offerings. We were extremely pleased with the experience and will definitely go again.

We felt our server was somewhat disinterested in our table. They were not busy at the time and he wasn’t attentive. We spent over 600 on dinner for 4, just would have thought the service would be better. Surf and turf platters, yes we ordered 2. Lobster tails were over cooked but the rest was perfect. Will consider returning one day and hope for more attentive service.
