    Excellent menu. The shrimp risotto was outstanding as was the lobster/brondino seafood plate. Perfectly elegant service. Beautiful cream brûlée.

    We took advantage of the restaurant week menu, which was an incredibly good value. $55 per person the meatball with polenta appetizer, the seafood soup, and gelato (me) or ricotta cake (spouse). Appetizer and entree are also on their regular menu--but I think the portion sizes must have been the same as the regular menu as they were very generous. The appetizer had a nice tomato-based sauce; a great blend of flavors. The entree included branzino, large fresh shrimp (with the heads--if you don't like the heads, set them aside but you'll miss some great flavor), squid that was cooked properly (not rubber bands like many other places), very small round pasta, and a delicious lobster broth. I probably left some ingredients off the list. Each type of seafood was cooked separately before adding the broth, so they retained their character. The fish skin was crisp! Atmosphere: since it was a Tuesday night in August, the restaurant was not crowded so sound level was low. On a Friday or Saturday, it's livelier but the ceiling is tall so I think the restaurant would not be noisy. Wine: glasses of sangiovese with the appetizer and a vermentino (white) with entree. Both higher-end wines for a single glass, recommended by the waiter and the sommelier, and they were a giant step above what most other restaurants offer by the glass. Service was friendly and efficient. A great dinner--we'll be back!

    Three of us dined at Modena on a Friday night during Restaurant Week. Perfect appetizers (fried artichokes, gem salad, polpetti) and excellent entrees (brodetto, steak, gnocchi). Two desserts however were disappointing: the peach ricotta cake (during peach season!) had two thin slices of unripe peach and a gloppy pink sauce with undefinable flavor. The deconstructed tiramisu was bland. Appreciated the sommelier and the excellent waiter. Will be back!

    It was restaurant week so choices were limited but each of the 3 courses was delicious. Comfortable seating, really great service and on this August lunchtime not at all crowded and we could hear each other! They kindly made my friend feel very special on her birthday. Our only complaint is that the Ladies’ room is dark as a dungeon, to the point of being dangerous. And the sinks look more like urinals and splash back like fountains. This discordant effect should be corrected, pronto.

    Service was immaculate. They stressed the added gratuity to ensure guest only tipped what they were comfortable with. The manager visited the table and every server was wholly hospitable. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

    We were there for restaurant week. Food was good but not up to standard of other Knightsbridge places we frequent. Staff was friendly and attentive but service was slow, even on a night they did not appear very busy
