Head Chef Francesco Mannelli has produced a menu of simple dishes executed exceptionally well, presented with genuine hospitality and polished service.
Very disappointing! Wait staff was clueless! Food was mediocre. Seats we’re uncomfortable.
My friend (from Adelaide) and I had a very lovely, enjoyable lunch.
Would it be possible to re-arrange the lighting? I caught myself in one of the mirrors (when seated) and I was not happy with what I saw.

A very good dining experience. We had a round table, ideal for 8 business colleagues. Prices for food and wine are expensive.
The dishes look good but tastes not good. Especially for the snapper fish, not tasty.
It's impossible to improve on Excellent. Food a delight, service proper and unobtrusive, wine list exceptional

The Coral Trout was probably missing a touch of salty character. Rest of food pretty tasty.
Little bit pricey, but you obviously pay the location.
Service was ok, the waitress that looked after us was friendly.
P.s. do not use a chipped decanter, is really bad for a restaurant like that.
Food was absolutely delicious. We had the set truffle menu and it was amazing. Great value and filling.
The team were also really helpful and accommodating with provided us a table where we could have the pram at the table, which is hard to find for a fine dining restaurant.

Fantastic food, great cocktails and wine and the service was faultless.
The truffle specials were also noteworthy.

only issue we had was that our side dish was forgotten and we didnt get it until we had almost finished our mains. this happened last time as well!
Very disappointed with the quality of food. My entree started off with hardly any traces of truffle. I mentioned this to waiting staff and they took note for my main, the chef made up for it in my main - which was lovely. But the dessert was the same as entree - hardly any truffle. If I had known the quality was so poor I would of tried another venue, it would of been nice to know the amount of grams going into the dish or the region the truffle was from.
My partner ordered a Wagyu steak at medium and he received it a medium rare to rare. He didn’t bother with mentioning it to the kitchen as he didn’t want to ‘fuss’ over it. But on our way home he regretted not saying anything as the price point and quality was very far apart.
We walked out very unsatisfied compared to other 5 star hotel dinning we’ve been to. We honestly would of expected more from Four Season and wouldn’t be returning. I will be leaving the same review on google reviews.

Visited Chroma Vivid Dinner at Mode Kitchen and Bar and we were not disappointed, the food and service were outstanding and the entire experience was fabulous.
I enjoyed the details that went into every aspect of our experience to ensure that sight, taste and smell senses were heightened.

Birthday dinner for the family. Food was as good. Some meals excellent. Entree of poached prawns had little flavored so yummy as disappointing.
Our waiter was excellent as were other staff.

It was a very unique experience to join in the Chroma meal. The whole thing was very well planned & executed. I know the sense touch may be represented by us eating the food but it would be great if you could incorporate touching/feeling something into the experience also. Congratulations on a great presentation all round!

Amanda the superviser is highly customer oriented and goes above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience at Mode for the Chroma dinner. The food can be more tastier as the dishes were quite bland. Alex the waiter is very friendly and bubbly and made our after party at the bar that extra bit special. Disappointing factor is the bar closes at 10pm on a Friday night.

What a fab night. All our senses came alive. A vivid dinner night. Each course a different colour and then paint your own dessert. Just incredible. If you get the chance - DO IT!!! 4 courses each with its own cocktail. Projections around the room and menu cards that smell!!! Sooo clever

I attended the Vivid Chrome dinner. I liked the concept and the food was good but I thought Mode can build on this with more experience. For example, red/fire meal, include smoke.
I would come again if the experience was expanded upon.

We didn't know what to expect when we arrived as we'd never been there before. All the service was quick and the meals were appetizing, the wine was refreshing too. We would definitely go back there again

Very comfortable seating and lovely ambiance - just a pleasant hum. So good to be able to hear ourselves. Service was friendly and professional.
One shared bathroom for the whole restaurant would be unpleasant after meal time. Also the soap can drip directly onto the tiled floor which I think could be dangerous.
The charcuterie platter and pate were to die for, however, the octopus was underseasoned. Whole snapper was tasty. The dark chocolate mille feule was tasty and the accompanying raspberry sorbet sublime.
Pleasant meal and evening and a relaxing time.
Also the most delicious (but dangerous) cocktail ever - Louis Roederer, raspberry and vanilla!

Going directly from OpenTable's rating. The food is good. Good. That's all. Not Earth shattering, not inventive, or new, or something that makes your taste buds sing.
first course: Kingfish Sashimi. Tastes like a working dock at the end of the day. Love Tuna Sashimi and this was my first experience with Kingfish Sashimi, so maybe my bad on not realizing the taste profile of this fish.
Main Course: Kangaroo Loin. Perfectly cooked. Pepper crusted. The Pepper was finely ground into a coating around the loin, which was the only flavor you tasted. Obliterated any chance of tasting the meat itself. accompaniment veggies perfectly cooked and tasty as well as perfectly fine potato. The lovely server kindly made my wish of two helpings of this come true!
The atmosphere feels very much like your in the atrium lobby of a hotel; which is what it is! Looking up and seeing a dude leaving the sauna in his bathrobe on floor two isn't my idea of high end ambience.
Again, not bashing this place- it's FINE, just not anywhere worthy of whatever the avg. guest rating is here.

Impressed with the seating arrangements (comfortable corner with sofa as seats with cushions).
Food was good.
The service staff were polite but unfortunately lacked responsiveness to service requests. We had to always call for service including refill of water. Our hostess did not end up taking our order and each time we were served by a different person. To top it off, the bill that we were presented with included orders from another table! We hope management take this feedback on board to remediate the service issues.

Lovely meal, good service and nice atmosphere. The only reason for 4 stars was that the coffees we had were very disappointing. We know you’re not a coffee bar, but please do you restaurant justice by making a decent cup to match your excellent food.
Food taste very normal. Nothing special .

Excellent service - very welcoming & lovely environment for either casual dining or entertaining friends.
The food was superb with some class & difference. We dined on 3 separate occasions & each experience was classy but very comfortable. Staff & service very polished & professional.
We commented on the low noise level due to the design & layout of the area - it was lovely to be able to dine & talk without being disturbed by loud phone conversations, which tends to happen these days !!!
Thank you for a great dining experience - we will come again when we next visit Sydney !!!
For the price we felt service could've been better. We had to ask for water, refill our own wine glasses, and no one asked what we wanted for dessert after giving us the menus... so we asked for the bill.
And not sure what happened that day my wife got bitten by mosquitos in her legs several times.

Waiters were also really knowledgable about the menu and were able to explain everything to us and answer any questions we had.
Found the restaurant through google maps, booked a table on the website, train ride into town and the perfect experience followed.
Table service fast efficient, food exceptional, wine list with people that know the wines perfect.
All in all a very good experience, will definitely be back.
Very friendly staff, very good food. Expensive but all Sydney seems to be expensive. A very nice dinner out.
Showed up for Christmas Dinner reservation as set through OpenTable. Regular menu not available and had to eat buffet at a jaw dropping 175 per person. This isn’t a cruise ship it’s the four seasons - more was expected. Nowhere else to go last minute and was an ambush experience. They deliberately and willfully held back the info from us at time of booking that it was a buffet at such a HUGE price until there was no other option. Total exploitation of people who had no other options for Christmas Day. Beware of exploitation in the future from them.
We booked table for two on Xmas eve. Really enjoy the experience. Great service from the staff, welcomed with a smile. We got there way earlier than our booking time but got a seat straight away. Food is delicious. The beef is tender and cooked to medium just as I ordered. My husband ordered catch of the day (snapper) and it tasted very fresh and cooked to perfection. Price is very reasonable for the location. Would definitely go again.
More options in the food menu and cheaper prices are appreciated
Had great time with my friends, we were so much satisfied with foods and service. Definitely visit again soon.
We had a table reservation for a business lunch. Our group arrived first and we were given our table. Our client arrived subsequently and were given another table even though they had asked for the reservation under my name, which led to an embarrassing situation as both groups were waiting for each other for a good ten minutes before we realised the restaurant’s mistake. The waiter also confused our water and mixed our sparkling and still water glasses.
