Sevrice was awful and took an hour to get the food
Good food but very pricey, with small portions. Ordered takeout after my sit down meal and they added 18% gratuity to the takeout bill also. That was really something else.
Very good place to visit if you have too much money and need to find a way to part with it quickly.
Took a long while for the food to come after we ordered. When it did finally come, the appetizer and entree were served at the same time!!! No reason why this should have happened. Table was small and there was no room on the table for everything at the same time. They could do better in this regard.
Also, I ordered a roasted sweet potato salad which sounded yummy. Well, they should have called it a tomato salad because there was tons of tomatoes but very few sweet potatoes. A big disappointment. I would not have ordered it had I known it would be this way. Perhaps they should rename the salad!
Short staffed, not very clean, and even though the restaurant was three-quarters empty, we still had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation times for them to set up a table for 7 for us that was of the appropriate size. They had initially tried to see this at to postage stamp tables well any other party of six was seated at 3. The maitre d' was Surly and they claimed to have no manager on staff. The weather was nice and accommodating. They have always been pretty severely over Christ but we were willing to pay for the good food, large portions, and nice atmosphere, none of which really exist anymore. The food was okay but again probably at least twice the price that it should have been. For a table of seven, with the tip we paid about $350 for a what essentially were salads and pastas
Food was preety good the dishes we hot served on werent clean
We’ve only gotten dessert but it’s delicious. Highly recommend the gelato and chocolate porcupine!
Great lunch! I really enjoyed the lunch salmon special
If I could give it zero stars I would. We made a reservation for outdoor dining. Abruptly canceled due to "weather". (No rain and other restaurants on same block did not do so). They informed me that no COVID restrictions in place. We figured it's a school night, maybe it's not crowded so we'll try. After all they'll be careful right? Wrong! Well I get that NJ law allows no restrictions but that doesn't mean everyone on top of each other and nobody masked, including small children who can't be vaxxed. There's a sign they say they are keeping clean for COVID. Well not from what I saw. I felt unsafe. And the noise level....like being in a subway. Unmasked waiter had to get in my face because he couldn't hear me. We tried to get our food to go and was informed would take 40 minutes. We didn't want to stay but asked how long it would be if we stayed. We were told...40 minutes. And this on a school night! So they were overbooked, understaffed, canceled our outdoor dining for reasons I can't understand and subjected us to noisy unsafe conditions. THERE'S A PANDEMIC ON PEOPLE! People even vaxxed people are dying. I know NJ law says they can do all this but just because they can doesn't mean they should. No care for the community they serve at all. I was disgusted. I would never ever go back.
Had a great experience at Mocha Blue last night for a birthday dinner with friends. It was a full house but the service did not suffer like it has in the past. Was very impressed with the new manager Gena. She made sure all the diners were taken care of and checked in on us several times to make sure everything was going well. Food was great. We all really enjoyed what we ordered. Will definitely be back soon!
although food was good (albeit overpriced), service was awful. despite arriving at 5:00 p.m. to an almost empty restaurant, hostess would not combine tables because we did not have 8 people, even though 2 of our 6 were toddlers. Instead we were seated at an inconvenient banquette table, where we were essentially ignored by the waiter. Then to our surprise a 20% tip was included, although the menu said nothing about it. Couldn't find our waiter. Another waiter got him. I said I objected in general but also because the service had been terrible. Our waiter instructed the other waiter to waive the tip (as though they were entitled to it) and then he walked off and left the matter to the other waiter. I left a 10% tip, but only because people working in restaurants depend on tips and my tip might be shared with back of house people.
won't be going back.
fyi, I haven't left a review for a restaurant in almost 20 years.
Prices are ridiculously high compared to portion sizes and food isn't even that good.
Really good fun food many options hard to get a waiter to listen to you
Maitre D forgot that we were standing there waiting to be seated
I ordered a quinoa salad, and they didn't cook the quinoa
Waiter was nice though
Excellent service and superb food definitely will come back
The wait staff was lovely, but management informed us after we had already settled in and started to order that there would be a $30/person minimum because we had made multiple reservations for a large party and were "taking up a lot of space" (the restaurant was empty except for us). We were gathering following a family funeral, and management could not have been ruder. I will never return to Mocha Bleu.
Soups were not hot and water we ordered never arrived. $32.00 for two bowls of soup is outrageous when not even served hot. Waitress did not return in timely fashion to ask for it to be reheated which should not have been necessary from the getgo.
excellent food nice Atmosphere & excellent costumer service, its a little pricy though
Food was good!
But dirty slimy floors, tables were sticky and shaking.
Needs better management!
Bathroom was shockingly dirty and toilet didn't flush. Asked for a glass and it was really dirty. I'm sorry, but completely unimpressed. Food is pretty pricey and service is just eh. Waiter was pleasant but disappeared for long periods. Expected more for the price. Outside area looked messy. Girl behind glasses counter had earbuds in . Looked like there was no oversight, no one in charge ensuring that everyone had a good dining experience.
We had an awful experience. First the waitress was clearly not familiar with the menu and could not answer simple questions such as what type of bread was used in the panini. The waitress disappeared and was no where to be found. There was 5 of us. 2 entrees came out and about 20 minutes later the other 2. The 5th entree came about an hour after the first 2. The waitress never checked in with us during the meal, never asked if we’d like refill on drinks. We had to ask other wait staff and the hostess for our check because our waitress never came out. We complained to the manager about the delay with the food, and his response was that he’d talk to the waitress.
The food was extremely over priced. We will not be returning.
Mocha Bleu is our go-to restaurant when we want dairy because they have a wide range of delicious choices and there is always something for everyone. Their food is delicious and presented beautifully, and their service staff are attentive and pleasant. I took my mom out for lunch in honor of her 75th birthday and the waitress brought my mom her dessert with a sparkler blazing and sang happy birthday with me. The rest of the staff, as well as some of the guests, wished my mom a happy birthday and made her day! Also, the patisserie cannot be beat! What a treat to indulge in their gorgeous, delicious tarts and pastries. I think their rugelach are the best outside of Israel. Worth the trip to Teaneck for Mocha Bleu!!
Pretty great experience.
Overall, we had a beautiful dining experience. The food was delicious and the service was really nice. The restaurant was very busy so the tables were very close to each other. I was expecting a classier setting. I would return, dining out is too expensive.
waiter was incredible. food tasted great. selection was a bit small compared to old menu
Food was sub par
Food was good and interesting menu. We all enjoyed it.
Food wasn’t good . Restroom disgusting the whole time we were there. Service- the best of the best .
I have celiac disease. I was told my selection was guten-free. Apparently, it was not ; I had severe reaction 2.5 hours after meal.
The service was horrendous. Took over an hour for the food to come and one dish was never made. How dare you add a tip to the check with only four people in our party. I had the power breakfast. Avocado never came. Tuna fish must have been a teaspoon. Water served was warm from the faucet and had a horrible taste. No refills on coffee. WhT kind of restaurant do you think you have. I’m writing to the record, the Link and Jewish press. You should be ashamed.
Hashem would be ashamed.
Poor service with a mandatory 20% gratuity tip.Very moody and grumpy waitors
we had to wait 45 min for our table
then waiter said we have 5 min to order
no drinks no desserts
we came with a nice group and were so rushed so we didn't order enough food and left hungry
was so noisy
waiter just gave us check and basically we had a feeling like they wanted to kick us out the minute we sat down,
The food was very tasty but the service and the table we were sitting at was next to the garbage and a rat trap and it was vey buggy
Noisiest restaurant I've ever been to.
Our server was pleasant but service, including getting the check, was VERY slow. 2 hours for appetizers and entrees for 4 and check.
They made a mistake with one of our entrees. Instead of asking whether it would be acceptable, they apparently recooked it and served it well after everyone else was already done with theirs.
Not going back.
Terrible. They bumped us to outside and it was raining even though i reserved for inside.
Service took forever.
food was very good.
Pizza pie arrived unsliced - took 10 minutes to call a waiter (not our waiter, couldn’t find her) to get us sliced and then took a few more minutes to get it back. Pizza was ok , not great. My friends
Enjoyed their salads. I should have just ordered the salad…
The service was terrible. Waitress took forever to bring us our food, and when she did she just dropped it and left. We wanted to ask her something but weren’t able to. The menu was also different than the usual one which was disappointing
The food was great. Service was great.. Good menu.. No complaints.
Just a bit noisy.
I ordered 3 sushi rolls yesterday.
1 special roll...good.
2 California basic rolls which looked like a disaster. So poorly made
.even my lunch friend commented on how sloppy..only word I can think..they were made.
At the beginning no one was aware of our reservation.
The person who served us was nice
The place was dark and very messy.
I heard ur pizza is good but didn’t serve.
