We thought that MOBU would be an asian fusion restaurant, but it turned out to be a tiny place - very creative, and yummy . Look at the menu!

Loved the stuffed salmon. Lamb chops were good but too thin for my liking. The vegetable sides were delicious.

I don’t mind a small intimate Resturant but this is just a room w a black curtain separating the kitchen. The outdoor area was moderately acceptable with lawn chairs in a tiny space.
The food was fair at best. The stacks - tuna- over seasoned , the crap - dried out.
The stir fry was so saucy and spicy, it was borderline awful. The salmon was fine. The other fish was just ok, certainly not special.

This was our first visit. We were greeted and seated soon after our arrival. Place is small and every table was occupied both inside and on their outside patio. Be sure to have a reservation, although I think they may have accommodated later arriving walk-ins by setting up additional tables out front by the parking lot.

The food was excellent. We started with the crab-avocado stack which tasted as good as it looked. We both had tender baby lamb chops , served four per order, with a side, and a veggie. I opted for the yummy cauliflower mash, and broccoli I, and he had the warm roasted veggie salad which was really delicious and quite large. Our only disappointment was the fact that they had run out of both of their chocolate deserts, (big disappointment) however we chose the warm banana foster cake, and some no sugar added sorbet, both of which we enjoyed.

We will be back, to enjoy some of the other interesting items on the menu. This place is a welcome addition to the Boca over abundance of mediocre Italian, seafood ,French etc. etc. eateries. The menu is new, interesting and fresh. Bravo to the chef and her wonderful staff.

A hidden gem with a great heart. The cheese bread was great as was the avacado crab stack appetizer. The lamb was very good with a little island spice, not gamey at all. The white sweet potatoes were almost like marshmallows with a youthful sweetness. The Salmon had a preparation we had not experienced before, though I'm not sure how to describe it is worth a try - far beyond a boring salmon dish. The Lemon potatoes were a welcome departure from the ordinary adding zest to a traditional side. Favorite beverages were the red sangria and pineapple saki. And the banana dessert was fun hailing in an "M" shape with berries along for the ride.

FRESH...the greeting, the food, the menu twists and the overall unique experience. I’d go back in a heartbeat alone, with my husband , friends and/or clients. Relaxed and refreshing !

Very small, we ate outside which was ok. Food for the most part good and healthy.
Downside is price. IT is out of line for the setting.
A small neighborhood type of restaurant where maybe you would want to get to know the mgmt. and server is priced to be a special occasion restaurant. The setting is not however special occasion like.
They should lower prices to attract a following .

Anniversary and birthday but no acknowledgment of those celebrations through open table notes. Snapper was good, chops were great, space is a problem and will really be an issue in the heat. I liked it though would go back food very creative.

First time dinner. Good hype but at the end of the day, fair restaurant entry. Limited menu, wine selection, and value. Ordered the jerked lamb chops which were tiny and on the over cooked side. Also had stuffed salmon which was good. Solid appetizer in the avocado tuna. Not sure if they will make it after season. Many mur choices with better value and experience on East side of Boca.

My dining experience at MoBu was very enjoyable, I arrived and was treated by one of the owners who checked up on us throughout our time there. The food was very tasty and presented very nicely. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a nice meal out.

Stacked tuna appetizer was the best part of the mail, very good. Much to cramped on a rainy night, outside seating if not wet night have alevated some of the problems. Devore is nonexistent. Food was good

New restaurant with really good chef deserving of a better space. Food was fantastic. Wait staff could be better trained but the main problem is the space and the location. If another investor came in with the resources to do this right, rather than on the cheap, could be really successful.

The owner came over to our table and was very attentive. Our food was excellent. This is a very small restaurant with limited seating. Call ahead. There is a charming outdoor eating area as well. There are only a few wine selections, but our wine was excellent. The fish was fresh and my pasta was excellent.

This was our first dine at MoBu and it was destined to be the start of what can best be described as a love affair. Living in the area and frequenting a UPS in the same non descript small strip center immediately south of Publix on the corner of Camino Real and Federal, I must admit I didn’t pay much attention to the new store front but did notice its somewhat odd name m, MoBu, its funky signage and wondered what is this place? Well, after this dine and several others, I can attest that it is a highly creative healthy food extravaganza. The Chef, Monique Buchbinder (hence the name MoBu) was trained at the Culinary Institute in NY, but we must note that her Chinese Jamaican background and her family of great chefs, especially her grandfather, imbued in her a passion for creative healthy foods. And yup, that passion is evident.

MoBu offers meals appropriate for vegans, vegetarians, lactose intolerant, gluten free, and you’ll never find a nut in the cafe.

Quickly, the avocado crab stack is an explosion of fresh flavors in your mouth. Don’t pass it up. The salmon stuffed with crab meat is incredible, served with my preferred side called MoBu mash, which is a purée of cauliflower and potato. I’m not giving too much away in this review, as others will follow.

Hopefully you’ll will meet the Chef, or Bruce, the passionate owner, or his daughter Brooke, their astute general manager, marketing guru and sometimes server. Reservations are a must. And if you are there on a busy night, don’t get upset if the food comes out slower than you expect. It’s a tiny tiny kitchen, and the chef and sous-chef are in the kitchen making sure each plate gets the attention it warrants. Have wine and talk to your dining partner. Listen to the wonderful music streaming. Breathe in. Breathe out. And prepare yourself for a unique healthy boutique dining experience. And no, I’m not related to anyone involved.

I discovered this gem of a restaurant on my vacation with my husband; I absolutely LOVE it when a restaurant gets it right. - The chef really knows how to work with different flavor profiles and bring them to life without going overboard. This is a friendly, warm environment, with a great staff, and well prepared and interesting dishes with, large serving sizes. We choose the Tomato Crab Bisque and Tuna Stack as appetizers, and Lobster Stir Fry and Truffle Jerk Lamb Chops for our entrees. Each item was beautifully presented with edible flowers and delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Wish we had one in our hometown.
Oh well, next visit. See you again MoBu!

This place was a great find. I loved the atmosphere, the service was impeccable, and the menu is really unique and creative with seafood and meat dishes, some of which have an Asian flavor to them. Every course makes your drool in anticipation of the next. All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food. The chef takes great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavors. For this reason, I highly recommend going to MoBu.

Everything about Mobu put it at the top of my list for returning again. The outdoor seating made it tranquil and relaxing. A wonderful dining experience. The menu made it difficult to decide on what to eat. Everything sounded delicious. I wound up picking the shrimp....yum,
Service was perfect for me. They were attentive but not pushy. I did not feel rushed. It was a wonderful dining experience . Would highly recommend giving it a try.

I came in from NY for the holidays to visit my daughter and her husband who live in Delray. They told me about this new hotspot in Boca that is a "great-find." They were absolutely right! I had the crab stack, recommended by our waitress, the Bronzino with the MoBu Mash side and the gluten conscious chocolate cake. Loved everything about this restaurant! Everything from the food, the patio, the chef and owner coming over to great us and check in was top notch. We decided to go back for brunch the next day on my way to the airport to find out it didn't open until 11:00 am :(. I will have to try it out next time I'm in! I highly recommend this new eclectic mix of food and dining experience to all of my Long Island and Florida friends!

The best experience ever!
Food was amazing, a delicious mix of Caribbean/Asian with so much flavor and gorgeously decorated, we also had a fantastic customer service from the beginning to the end were the chef/owner approached to us to make sure our expectations were full filled.
We will definitely come back, there are so many dishes from the menu we want to try!

I had a great experience dining at MoBu and will definitely be back! Great value ( $15 bottomless
mimosas and sangria) coupled with an interesting brunch menu. Brooks Brunch Bite was to die for with a generous serving of chicken and avocado.

For dessert I tried their Bananarama, which is a banana bread, served with whipped cream, wine and couple of pieces of bananas - arranged into an "M". Everything was fresh, yummy and prepared with care.

Service was prompt, attentive and made me feel very welcome!

After reading the reviews, we were prepared for a genuine “fusion” meal. There is nothing fusion about the menu. There are stir fries and regular fish and beef dishes. My wife had fish with coconut sauce. I had salmon stuffed with crab. Not sure what was fusion about these. The food was good, but certainly not up to the quality of downtown Delray or other Palm Beach restaurants. If you go, sit outside—an enclosed porch with a beautiful water fall wall.

I have been to MoBu for dinner and had an all around great experience, so I decided to come back for lunch this week. I tried their beyond burger ( made of beets) tastes just like beef and it’s completely vegan. I also decided to treat myself with a glass of pineapple sake, and an organic Very Berry sorbet for dessert! Everything was delicious! I was told they are opening for brunch this Saturday, can’t wait to try that! The owner told me they are serving eggs Benedict and omelettes with lobster and crab and Bottomless Drinks! Yes, please!

We went for a late Valentine's Day Dinner - the crew was very nice and helpful.
The only complaint we had was that the food was supposed to be medium spice and it was a little bland.

Staff and owner were very friendly, but the service was confusing. They need more training. The starter was good. The risotto was very overcooked, but the bronzini was good. The desert was ok. I was expecting a lot more from the reviews.
