After taking a break to raise their two girls, they have returned with the same great food and service everyone came to know. My favorite restaurant in the Jackson Metro area. The steaks are fantastic. The seafood (Fried Shrimp, Crab Claws) are the best I have ever had. The tamales are also outstanding. The atmosphere is nice, but casual too. Very welcoming. Service is great.

One of the best restaurants on the planet. It is so uniquely southern and fresh that there are very few who can even come close to this kind of culinary experience. I look forward to my visits to Mississippi so that I have the opportunity to enjoy Shapley’s. It doesn’t get any better..

The food and service were excellent. The only issue I had was that I had difficulty hearing some folks at my table. I was sitting on the outside and the acoustics in the room amplified the conversations of many others in the dining room. I don't know if anything can be done about this, but if you could, that would be wonderful.

Food, service and ambiance are outstanding. Having an elderly person in our party, it was important for us to go to a quiet restaurant that is accessible for someone using a walker. Shapley’s has multiple rooms which cuts down on noise. Plus floors are hardwood so easy to roll over. My steak was perfectly cooked. Our party had the salmon and redfish as well, all of which was excellent. We have dined here before and will be back (hopefully) soon

Always LOVE going to Shapley’s. Had our first date there over 20 years ago and it is still one of our favorite restaurants in Jackson. Mark and Mary are the nicest people and treat you like family every time!!!! If you have not been to Shapley’s, I highly recommend you go and enjoy some of the best food in Jackson!

The food was delicious, the service was great. Will and Tre took good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Such a good experience. My wife’s steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender and tasty. My redfish was perfect as well, flaky and not overcooked, I appreciated that. Best experience eating out we’ve had in a long time.

My husband and I’s ribeye were very over cooked. I ordered mine Pittsburgh sear with preferred rare plus inside, it came out medium (edges were medium well). My husband ordered his medium rare- his was medium as well. When the waiter asked how our food was I said “the flavor is great however my steak is very overcooked “ he responded “what would you like me to do about that”. I did not send it back as it was not offered. Our entrees also arrived before we were even halfway through eating our salads, and were served with the metal warming tops on the table. The meal felt very rushed by our waiter the entire time.

Very nice restaurant with reasonable prices for the incredible dishes (and drinks) that they serve . The fried shrimp are amazing and the beef tips will not disappoint. If I had any recommendations it would be to not rush the customers through the appetizers and drinks. I guess due to the limited seating of the restaurant they have to turn tables so I understand. Still Recommend highly.
