We booked a table for 8 for a get together, a few drinks and a burger. The table was ready when we arrived. It wasn't very busy but we knew it was early. The drinks are really good and cocktails made well. After an hour or so we ordered burgers. These were very disappointing; burnt, cold and very unappetising. We got our money back for one but still had to pay full price for the others. In the end we decided to go to another bar because it was busy at the bar but the atmosphere wasn't very good. I'd recommend MKB if you go later on, just drink and want to dress up a bit. Otherwise i'd go somewhere else.

Slick bar atmosphere, with a few restaurant tables. Food was tasty but few communication errors between staff affected their s charge eg charging us for 2 bottles of wine that we didn't have!

I had the baby chicken and my boyfriend the chicken burger. The baby chicken was loverly and I'm told the burger was average. Service was quick and prompt and we sat in the raised seating area which was lighter and less noisy!

My husband and I were looking for somewhere different to eat for a change, we had been told that this place wasn't great and lacked atmosphere,but we thought we would give it a try anyway. We booked a table for 7:30pm on a Saturday night and didn't leave until 12:30 am! We shared a starter of the chourizo in wine sauce!we loved it! For main course I had the steak and they made me a garlic butter sauce because I wasnt keen on the options provided! So that was very nice of them. I did however have a few cocktails,which were lovely! I definitely recommend it and the atmosphere was great! I really enjoyed my time here and recommend it for a good meal and a wee dance later on! The place is fabby!

We ate over HappyHour so drinks were ver cheap. A good place to eat before going into Glive. All the food we had was excellent and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Some girlfriends and I went here for a casual dinner - the 50% offer was great value and the food very nice. A good change to the standard chains in Guilford. Slightly quiet on a weekday evening but I assume business will come in time

The food was fine and the service ok although they didn't have the wine we chose. I have been before and I enjoyed the food (a new menu) less than on the previous occassion sadly, but the 50% deal is very good.

I was very impressed with the food at MKB - it's a similar price to the chain restaurants close by but a lot nicer. I has the steak, which was tender and well cooked. MKB is more a bar / restaurant that just a restaurant - would also be good for a night out, cocktails etc as well as food.

Everything was good but nothing special. Value was very good because we benefitted from a 50% food offer from TopTable; otherwise it was fair (expensive wine)

MKB - Guildford is a great place for a casual meal. The only negative i have about the experience is the music was so loud, but I imagine this was because it was a friday night and I get the feeling that locals and hotel guests next door come to their bar for drinks and a social night out. For a casual restaurant the food is quite good and it is good value. Staff was very friendly which in itself would make me go back.
