Spectacular cooking, remains among the best in Denver. Creative cooking without pretense. Gracious and attentive service.
For my birthday, this was not first time. As always they make new tastes so that way, we never have same experience.
We don’t know how they create that new tastes all that time.
But one thing for sure they don’t make us get tired of French.
It was fine. Expected more.
Still the top restaurant in Denver in my view. Tasting menu was fantastic and the sommelier, Jim, provided an outstanding bottle of champagne.
Food was lack luster. Only the beef cuts used in the beef wellington was seasoned. Everything else was bland and mushy. No flavor. The staff was amazing and the ambiance was dark and crowded. It was not a good birthday experience for my wife.
Mizuna never disappoints. This our favorite restaurant in the Denver area. While we aren't "regulars" the staff remembers us and treats us like regulars. The lobster mac&cheese is fabulous, and a riot would start on 7th Ave if they ever removed it from the menu. The wine list is extensive and well appointed in multiple price points. Jamie, Tim, and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable, attentive, and wonderful at taking care of you. Sit back, relax, enjoy. It's handled.
New Years eve
Had the Chef's Tasting Menu; it was interesting and mostly quite good. House bread was delicious.
Service was very friendly and welcoming, though a little less than perfect (e.g. champagne glasses ran low, used plates sat too long). Coffee was not hot and cream was ice cold, netting cold coffee.
Great spot. Took my girlfriend here the night we got engaged and it was super special. You’ll have to pay for it, but maybe the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Get the beef Wellington!
Outstanding service and food! Presentation was beautiful and food was delicious!
Terrific. Excellent food and service
Mizuna used to be wonderful but we were not so impressed the other evening. Infact other restaurants have food that is more delicious and less money!
Food very mediocre
Food was great. Service started slow but improved as the night went on.
This was the best overall dining experience I’ve ever had. Bartender was next level with his craft. The “trust fall” cocktail is the dealer’ choice option and it came up all aces for me. For dinner we had the Ravioli, octopus, and macaroni starters. Only complaint was that the portions were slightly small but there was no lack of taste. Incredible, powerful, and bursting with tons of flavor in every bite. For my entree the Wellington was the choice and it did not disappoint either. A perfect mid rare stark was presented to me with a gorgeous sauce and beautiful potato arrangement.
The Mizuna staff were wonderful. They made my fiancee's birthday special and also easily accommodated our short timeline as we were headed to the ballet afterwards. We'll be back for a much longer dinner!
I visit Mizuna once or twice a year to revisit a paragon of Denver fine dining. As usual every last dish was achingly sublime. The herbed pork belly was deeply savory and perfectly matched with the malt vinegar dusted chicharron. The scallops were perfectly seared and the sweet potato was a beautiful accompaniment. As usual, the service was absolutely perfect. We were never left waiting for food or drink and the waiter and sommelier made excellent suggestions. As usual, this was an incredible dining expierence. Denver is lucky to have Mizuna as a pillar of it's fine dining scene.
Great food with excellent service
Mizuna in general is quite good but maybe not as good as it once was. Service was particularly poor which at their price points cannot happen. Friendly but lacking in professionalism and attentiveness. Food is quite good but a little pricy for what it is. I would still go back but with reservation after my most recent visit.
We tried the chef tasting menu. It was great. The staff was knowledgeable food was amazing. Awesome environment.
The appetizers and cocktails were fantastic. The entrees were ok. Dessert was pretty poor. Ambiance was very nice, the server was really helpful, but not terribly attentive. Certainly not what was expected from a restaurant of this caliber.
Our dinner was a birthday celebration for a friend of mine. She wanted to be in the Wine Room and the restaurant was able to accommodate our request. The service was excellent. Jaime was our server and she was excellent in all regards from wine selection to course selection. Having owned restaurants in the past, I appreciate excellent service and Jamie personified it during our visit.
Easily the most amazing dinner we've had in 3 years in Denver (and we eat out a lot). Tasting menu was amazing! The presentations were beautiful and the taste was unbelievable.
Great scallops and Mizuna salad was exquisite!
Sometimes Mizune is outstanding. For this visit, it was exquisite. Great service by Zach, great wine selection, excellent meal.
Amazing as always!
Dinner was good- unfortunately, it wasn’t as tasty as we’ve previously experienced. The lobster Mac and cheese wasn’t really hot and the pastry on the Wellington was burned.
What happened? Food and service were horrible compared to the past. Did they have a management change? I won't be going back. This used to be our "go to" place for out of town guests and special nights. They have reached the mediocrity of the rest of the City. That is really sad.
We tried the chef's tasting menu.
First menu served was with shishito pepper, and one of them turned out to be extremely spicy.
So spicy that it caused violent reaction from someone who regularly eats and cooks spicy food (East Asian heritage)
Chef's excuse of "very few peppers are that spicy" (you just got unlucky) is just not adequate.
The rest of the tasting menu was good though, and the service was also very professional.
The frozen dessert left a lot to be desired though.
Overall, decent, but not great for the price.
Foie Gras is the bomb!!!!
If you want to have the best dining experience available in Denver, look no further than Mizuna
Another phenomenal meal. I typically do the tasting menu, but was inspired by server's recommendations from menu this time. After one of the greatest bread services in colorado (popovers, pinwheels and fennel dinner rolls) I enjoyed the new boudin blanc appetizer with chicken skin crisp, turnips and pickled carrots. Next was a perfectly dressed mizuna salad with lardons, plums and shaved gouda. The main course was a perfect seared venison loin with mushrooms, celeriac puree and huckleberry demi. Each course was paired exquisitely. Already looking forward to next visit.
We have not been to Minzuna in a while. It is still great and we had an excellent dinner. Loved the Lobster Mac and Cheese, Pork Belly, and Scallops. I thought the tuna in ponzu sauce was a bit too salty. Service was excellent.
Wonderful food, wonderful service, cannot recommend highly enough.
Wonderful dinner. Great drinks and great service
Would definitely recommend
We had a birthday there the food was really good and we were really happy. Definitely will go again next time
The staff was extraordinary, from Tim the manager to the sommelier and the entire wait staff our every need was taken care of. We opted for the tasting menu and pairings, would highly recommend. We brought a referall partner for one of our buinesse as a special occasion, and Mizuna didn't disapoint. We will be back for a unique, luxurious Denver treat.
What a lovely experience . Attentive wait staff. Great wine list and the food was delicious.
Everything was executed perfectly!
