We had the Chef’s tasting menu with reserve wine pairing, and it was the refined dining experience we were looking for! One of the best fine dining experiences we have had in Denver.
It was a wonderful dining experience with so much individual attention to us (celebrating our 35th anniversary) and amazing detail to each course served. We were able to request the tasting menu Gluten Free for my allergy and they didn't miss a beat at serving one of the most amazing meals of my life along with perfect wine pairings for each course. BRAVO!!
Simply: the experience was exceptional. There is a level of "good" that makes you satisfied, and there is another level of good that shifts your perspective of evaluation entirely. Each dish of the Chef's Choice (well worth it) didn't "inspire a feeling from the past", they acted as a time-machine: I found myself transported to enjoyable experiences I hadn't remembered in a decade. As much as I tried, I couldn't help but laugh (literally, laugh) as I first tasted each dish... either out of pure awe and appreciation for how fantastic the food was, or maybe, how simple I must be. In this case, on this occassion, I didn't care which.
I could add how each course, or the perfectly aged Old Fashion, made me feel, but its unfair to the chef to prescribe my experience to others with the expectation each visitor will have the same. So, do the restaurant justice, and go have your own. You won't regret it.
Food was amazing, overall experience was great. This is my favorite restaurant!
I can’t wait to come here again, so we’re coming again for my birthday in 3 weeks.
Everything was perfect and the food was incredible
I would highly recommend Mizuna. The staff was friendly to my fiance and I, and each one of them knew the menu, cocktails, and desserts. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire evening.
Food is delicious and very good wine selection, and the service is top notch. It's a bit pricey but excellent choice for the special occasion
Lovely chefs selection with wine pairings. Excellent job!!
Took my boyfriend for his birthday and we had an amazing service. We order the chefs menu. Although a little expensive it was the best food I’ve ever eaten!
Wonderful as always.
Great food and excellent staff. Thanks for making a special occasion more special.
Everything was perfect! I would highly recommend Mizuna. The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding!
The Beef Wellington was superb. Great wine list (Pomerol from Bordeaux was excellent). Great service too! We'll definitely return.
We had the tasting menu, he was really great! While we’ve always had very good meals there over the years, it was definitely one of the best!
The best meal we've had in a very long time. Service by Jamie was excellent, highly informed, never obsequious. But the food. Unbelievably delicious, carefully done and presented. Beef Wellington and duck Breast Maigret the best we've ever had of both.
We had walked from the Denver Art Museum and it was quite blustery and we were chilled to the bone. We were warmly welcomed at the door and proceeded to enjoy one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The service was excellent without being stuffy and the fare was fabulous! Alas, no pictures as we were too busy savoring every bite. Thank you!
I was trying to plan a dinner for my daughter's birthday and I got an email from Open Table that mentioned Mizuna. I am so glad I clicked through to read their menu and look at pictures.
This was my family's first visit and we all loved it. The scallops were delicious, as were all of the other dishes. They have a good selection of wine and bottled beer, no beers on tap. Everyone who worked there was friendly and the service was excellent. We will definitely be going back.
Spectacular cooking, remains among the best in Denver. Creative cooking without pretense. Gracious and attentive service.
For my birthday, this was not first time. As always they make new tastes so that way, we never have same experience.
We don’t know how they create that new tastes all that time.
But one thing for sure they don’t make us get tired of French.
It was fine. Expected more.
Still the top restaurant in Denver in my view. Tasting menu was fantastic and the sommelier, Jim, provided an outstanding bottle of champagne.
Food was lack luster. Only the beef cuts used in the beef wellington was seasoned. Everything else was bland and mushy. No flavor. The staff was amazing and the ambiance was dark and crowded. It was not a good birthday experience for my wife.
Mizuna never disappoints. This our favorite restaurant in the Denver area. While we aren't "regulars" the staff remembers us and treats us like regulars. The lobster mac&cheese is fabulous, and a riot would start on 7th Ave if they ever removed it from the menu. The wine list is extensive and well appointed in multiple price points. Jamie, Tim, and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable, attentive, and wonderful at taking care of you. Sit back, relax, enjoy. It's handled.
New Years eve
Had the Chef's Tasting Menu; it was interesting and mostly quite good. House bread was delicious.
Service was very friendly and welcoming, though a little less than perfect (e.g. champagne glasses ran low, used plates sat too long). Coffee was not hot and cream was ice cold, netting cold coffee.
Went here to celebrate a graduation and they made it an incredible experience. They brought champagne to toast at the beginning and the food was incredible. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or when you just want to treat yourself!
Great spot. Took my girlfriend here the night we got engaged and it was super special. You’ll have to pay for it, but maybe the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Get the beef Wellington!
Outstanding service and food! Presentation was beautiful and food was delicious!
Terrific. Excellent food and service
Mizuna used to be wonderful but we were not so impressed the other evening. Infact other restaurants have food that is more delicious and less money!
Food very mediocre
Food was great. Service started slow but improved as the night went on.
This was the best overall dining experience I’ve ever had. Bartender was next level with his craft. The “trust fall” cocktail is the dealer’ choice option and it came up all aces for me. For dinner we had the Ravioli, octopus, and macaroni starters. Only complaint was that the portions were slightly small but there was no lack of taste. Incredible, powerful, and bursting with tons of flavor in every bite. For my entree the Wellington was the choice and it did not disappoint either. A perfect mid rare stark was presented to me with a gorgeous sauce and beautiful potato arrangement.
The Mizuna staff were wonderful. They made my fiancee's birthday special and also easily accommodated our short timeline as we were headed to the ballet afterwards. We'll be back for a much longer dinner!
I visit Mizuna once or twice a year to revisit a paragon of Denver fine dining. As usual every last dish was achingly sublime. The herbed pork belly was deeply savory and perfectly matched with the malt vinegar dusted chicharron. The scallops were perfectly seared and the sweet potato was a beautiful accompaniment. As usual, the service was absolutely perfect. We were never left waiting for food or drink and the waiter and sommelier made excellent suggestions. As usual, this was an incredible dining expierence. Denver is lucky to have Mizuna as a pillar of it's fine dining scene.
Great food with excellent service
Mizuna in general is quite good but maybe not as good as it once was. Service was particularly poor which at their price points cannot happen. Friendly but lacking in professionalism and attentiveness. Food is quite good but a little pricy for what it is. I would still go back but with reservation after my most recent visit.
