sixteen pieces- chef's choice
Amazing dinner with amazing service.
I’ve been here once before and loved it, but this time it wasn’t the best experience. Service was sub-par - our waitress never came over to our table and my boyfriend’s food took 45 minutes to come out. She said the ticket got messed up and they had to redo it - no big deal I get that mistakes happen, but in no way did she try and make up for it.
Good food, but service is average.
food came out super quick and everything tasted amazing!!
Night evening out
Had a great valentines day dinner here. The staff was quick helpful and sat us immediately. The food was amazing. I loved the valentines specials.
Great date spot. No complaints and service was great.
With so many great sushi and ramen places in the Highlands this one has lacked luster on every occasion we have gone-mostly the service, but when it influences the food order and experience it’s not worth it.
This place is dope - get the steak on the stone it’s amazing
Get the chicken app!!! Yum
Great service & food
Friendly staff, good food and good service.
Felt rushed after we ordered, in part because all the food came at once. Actually the sushi came out first, then the seaweed salad and miso soup. Not what I’m used to experiencing in Japanese restaurants.
Not recommend ramen
When you order something here it will arrive at your table within minutes. I'm used to traditional American style ordering where I ordered everything at once and it kept coming out. I recommend ordering piece by piece, roll by roll to get the most out of your experience.
Jan 10th visit. 8:15pm.
We arrived 15 min early. The hostess looked surprised we were early. She then asked if we wanted to be sat. No, we want to stand up at the host stand and wait.
Our server was very rushed and short. Our order arrived wrong. We asked for soy sauce. It never arrived so I had to grab it off another table because the staff was in helpful.
The fish was average at best.
The best dish was the Brussels sprouts.
The manager did not pick up on any of the problems at our table. He asked if things were ok and the vague response i gave he did not pick up on just smiled as if everything was amazing and walked away.
Had to hunt down our waiter to get a second drink. Not good.
Poor service, low grade fish. And when you order sushi it comes as a roll not sushi so terminology is different here and the waiter did not clarify this difference at this restaurant. Additional poor service.
For the price I have been to much better.
The service was seriously incredible. The tuna belly from Japan melted in my mouth!
Mizu Izakaya has the best Ramen I’ve had in the states since moving back from Japan! I was very impressed with not only the food but the service we had while there on such a busy night!
Great ambiance mixed with great food. Will be back.
Everything was delicious in flavor and in presentation. The Sushi was our favorite, the fried chicken appetizer was delicious, and the ramen was tasty. That one dish that caught our group off guard was the poke bow, a cup of poke fish served over sliced salmon with potato chips (not traditional FYI.
The food was delicious and the service was good. We found the sake prices to be expensive, but otherwise it was an enjoyable experience.
Despite the raving reviews Mizu has received, I was disappointed. The appetizers were the best part of the entire meal. The shrimp tempura sushi was flavorless and the toro (which I often order from other restaurants) had an almost spoiled taste. The service was fine, nothing extraordinary. The waitress was very accommodating when removing the items from our receipt. She also gave us shots as an apology. Overall, not impressed at all.
Best sushi/ramen I've had in Denver. Pllllllllllllllllllllllllllllt!! There that's 50 letters.
Went here on a whim for an early dinner before the show. We loved the small plates because it was perfect to try out all the menu. Everything was delicious. It was a bit noisy (nothing a little added acoustics couldn't help) but overall a wonderful time and we will definitely be back.
This restaurant is great. Great ambiance and quality food. The only downside is that it's popular so this leads to slower than ideal service...
Timing off again on second visit, food so so, waiter great but won't go back as kitchen can't get timing right.
Amazing food and excellent service! Yo all made his birthday extra special! Our favorite new spot! Thank you!
The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service were all outstanding.
Very good sushi and sake. The prices were great for the quality of fish and meat. The service was great too
Amazing experience ! Hospitality was top notch - I will come back again when I’m in the area !
This is a great modern take on a classic Japanese Izakaya, a concept that’s largely missing in the states. Delicious small plates + sushi + sake/beer = great night. All the food we tried was delicious and authentic, sushi was fresh and service excellent. We enjoyed the modern, upbeat ambiance as well. This is a place you can visit over and over and not get sick of due to the wide variety of food offered. Also great bar scene for drinks. Bravo to the owner for bringing this concept to Denver! You have a pair of loyal customers now.
Our experience on this particular night was just "off". We got seated right away as we had a reservation. But the servers were a little frazzled, management was avoidant, and their ticket system went down. We didn't know this until we were waiting for our final appetizer (that came after we were done with both of our ramen). Managers asked several tables AROUND us how they were doing and informed them of the ticket system issue, but not once did anyone come over to us to ask how we were or to let us know that their system was down. We ended up canceling our last appetizer that never came out, paid the bill, then left. It was just a strange experience overall.
Great food!!! Great service!!! Just really loud.
Delicious food, amazing service and surprisingly great price. Double date for my sister’s bday and they did a great job making it special.
We came to celebrate my birthday. My friend did not get his food until after my husband and I were done with ours. He decided to just not eat it because the timing was so bad and we had other arrangements we needed to get to.
Great food, great service.
The food was good, and we were happy with the service.
I’m new to the neighborhood, but Mizo is quickly becoming one of my favorites. To start the Gimlet is delicious! If you like a nice vodka drink I highly recommend it. The Gyoza is one of the best I have ever had and I mean it. You can taste the pork and they cook it perfectly. I had a tuna sashimi special that was perfection. For rolls we tried the Sea Monster and will definitely get it again. The only negative was the Seaweed Salad - very strange and unappetizing but the House Salad is a very good alternative. The bartender works at a pace that could be quicker! Will be back soon!
Wonderfully pleasant server! Amazing happy hour options and an adorable patio.
Lunch service felt slow given it appeared to be a good sized kitchen staff and two-maybe three tables during the 11am hour.
