It was the first time in Myabi. I've always been a Yumi sushi fan, but I think this is the new go-to sushi stop in the west metro / Excelsior area.
Our server was awesome
Poor service detracted from good meal. Slow and spotty. Service was my ch better last time.
We went to Miyabi for a late lunch, 2:30, to celebrate an office birthday. Many places, especially sushi, are not open at such time. So that’s the first great thing! Our waiter, Peter, was so amazing and made sure the birthday girl had a good time. The food was excellent and fun was had by all. By the way, I am gluten free and they have lots of gf items.
We will be back.
Phenomenal a relaxing place to chill place to get good food and excellent service. My wife and I went to Miyabi twice last week and had consistently great experiences.
Loud dance music playing, overpriced drinks. Actual sushi was great.
GREAT service, would go back jsut because of that...only suggestion is to change whicch windows are blocked by ads...move the ads to the tables not being used so people dining in can see out and people walking by can see you are open and people are dining in!!!

Great spot! Was looking forward to the truffle salmon that I saw on the OT menu, but it wasn’t on the menu anymore along with a couple other items of interest. The sushi is fantastic, reasonably priced and the noodle dishes are generous! Would recommend. Wish the music wasn’t dub step, clubby music. If that changes, to something less jarring; I’d give 5 stars.
The sushi was very good however the service was not. We ordered a few rolls for the table and then I ordered a to go order for my daughter. I asked twice for the ginger dressing to go with her salad..I got home and it wasn't in there. Our waiter seemed rushed and disinterested. An 18% service charge was included which I have never seen there before and seemed odd for a table of 2. Perhaps a change because of Covid. We have dined here a lot in the past but if service continues like this we will have to find somewhere else to go for sushi.

Service was a bit slow and one of our orders of sushi didn't come out with the rest and we had to remind the server about it. Waited for a while to get our bill as well.
I would certainly go back because the food was good and it seemed the the service issue we experienced wasn't consistent with the others around us.
We waited for almost 20 minutes for someone to wait on us and get us a drink. They waited on another table before us and we had to say “hello we have been waiting”. Server seemed angry. They sat us at a two too when there were nicer tables available and wouldn’t let us move. Meanwhile they then sat another couple at the two top. We have been to this place many times but this times It was a bad experience!
I wanted my dish spicy & I need to remember to say 5+ stars because a 4/5 is a fairly mild (to me) spice but they happily offered to remake it but I just wanted to add something myself - I don’t need to waste because the taste was great! They gave me some spicy chili sauce to add heat but not change the flavor & it was perfect!!

They did not adhere to COVID regulations - our table was dirty, we got a dirty plate, our server had his mask below his nose and the hostesses were taking them off to talk, also had hair and dust on our benches like they were never wiped off. They did not honor our dining certificate through OpenTable. The service was incredibly slow - there was one other table and it took 8 minutes for our server to come to the table. The food was alright but overpriced for quality and quantity. Would not recommend.

MIYABI hostess sat us at an outside metal table for two. The table was not wiped down. Pretty dirty & dusty. We asked the waiter to please wipe it down before food comes so he moved us to the glass table w/umbrella. We sure did appreciate that. Our meal was tasty & fresh. The menu is online in code, which you click onto w/phone. They were following state guidelines by wearing masks.
We have loved the sushi at Miyabi for a long time, so we decided to trying outdoor dining amid the pandemic. The service was OK, and the food was, too, but the sushi didn't seem as fresh and brightly colored as usual. Kind of fishy, actually. Disappointing.
We threw out most of the sushi we ordered online because it was not fresh.

Waiter brought my appetizer soup after serving the main course and brought the main course for myself and my sons girlfriend over ten minutes before my son got his sushi meal. Food was good but service was poor and waiter was sullen.
We made reservations in advance and we're seated right away. It took the waiter 15 minutes to notice that we're sitting at a table and we needed drinks. The place was not busy. We got our drinks about 15 minutes later and wanted to put in our food order. All of the food came out at different times in about 20 minute increments. The Mongolian chicken was definitely not worth the price. Tiny bowl of rice and mediocre chicken. Not ideal since we all were very hungry. We had to flag down our waiter again to get refills on drinks after we have ran out. By the time the last plate came out we had been there for an hour and a half... I do not feel the need to go back to this place. I have been to this place 3 times and each time the service has not been good at all. Very slow no matter how busy it is. Hate to write reviews like this but between the four of us we spent about $300 at this establishment and the entire time we were either wondering when the waiter was going to come to our table, where our food was, why a plate didn't come out thinking that maybe they're just running behind and then finding out that they forgot the order. Ugh.
We will be back!
