Very small menu and drinks are over priced. Ambience is nice that’s probably all that I give in recommendation. Other then that I wouldn’t recommend
Food is very good and location is great. Service is not the best, drinks should be a lot better than they are and music is always bad.
I have booked with Mixology in the past and had great experiences, but this time I arrived to discover they had cancelled my reservation without any prior notification. This was especially frustrating as the brunch was for a close friend's birthday and we were forced to walk around The Grove to find somewhere else to eat.
Needless to say, I wasn't happy and neither was my friend, or the other party members.
Made 2 reservations and both nights the restaurant was closed when we got there
I loved the atmosphere!! I come to LA once a year and Mixology 101 is on my Must Do List...
Our server didn’t put any effort to provide a good service. The drinks and food were very late, when I asked to have protein on my kale salad she said that they cannot modified anything on the menu! Overall not a good experience
We were quite excited to come to Mixology to mix up our normal s Saturday afternoon cocktails and sports. The ambiance is beautiful. The food was tasty (get the hummus). However, the service was terrible. We had a reservation and somehow the hostess was very confused. It took a solid 15 min for our waiter to come greet us or take a drink order. We were able to have a whole conversation with the bartender before our waiter ever came. Then it took another 15 min to get our drinks. We watched them sitting out as the waiter was MIA or joking around with staff. Was pretty annoying. The restaurant manager is a nice guy, tried to turn on the Dodgers for us, but they do not have Sports Net LA. I would recommend to go if you can sit at the bar. Will not be rushing to go back again
They said their kitchen wasn't working so I had one drink and left
Bald guy with beard was a great waiter. My boyfriend and I were new to California and he was very helpful on helping us with what to do. Great drinks and food.
We called in advance to make sure they were open on Christmas. They told us they were. We booked our reservation and when we got there they were closed. The restaurant next door was kind to accommodate us. The host next door told the bartender at Mixology to give us a complimentary drink while we waited. He was very rude. They were extremely nice next door.
Our server Savanna was exceptional and Manager Melissa was amazing.
Slow service. We would have spent much of the afternoon there having drinks but service was so slow. Need more staff
Waiter didn’t know anything about the drinks or the menu he may have been new. When our fries arrived they were cold overall food was very good. The live music was the best!!
Just a day out Christmas shopping
Service was disappointing.
We met there during a very popular World Cup game so it’s really unfair to rate the noise level properly.
I enjoyed the views from the terrace and he food was good.
I would go back for sure.
Overall we enjoyed dinner and the restaurant/food. That said, the service was not the best. At times we felt like our waiter forgot our drink orders and we waited quite a long time to get them and for him to return to our table to take our order.
The service was a little slow, but the waiter was really nice. The food and drinks were good.
They have a new menu that is diverse and delicious. Plenty of options for vegetarians which is always nice at this type of place. Cocktails are great too, though buyer beware, they are not strong.
Food is horrible. Salads were wilted and consisted of 90% lettuce. Burgers were cold. Pizza was soggy. What more can I say? Oh! Everything is WAY overpriced and the service is awful. I will not be returning.
Great experience with good ambiance
Drinks were wonderful!! But the food, disappointing and overpriced. Our server was unfortunately the bartender also, so service was not there either.
It was my birthday celebration but I was disappointed that they didn’t have brunch so I left
The location is what makes this place desirable and we had a good waiter. But we were served spoiled burratta cheese, didn’t take it off our bill, my seat was broken, and to top it off they didn’t confirm we had checked in with Open Table. So I received an email from Open Table about being a “no show”. Very irritating as we were on time for reservation. There are too many great restaurants in the area, next time I will choose a different one.
It was amazing
This place would be so much better if they improved their service. There's one person bartending and serving tables. It took so long for her to take our dinner order we decided to get the check and go somewhere else. It's a shame because the ambience And location are perfect
It was good I've been here before, unfortunately they stopped there bubble brunch which was the whole reason we use to come.
Not all that interesting... the food is nothing special and the place is just alright. Nothing to be exited about
Family in town
Although our server Sam was great, the hostesses were an issue for me. (1) When we were shown our seats and I noticed it was a booth, I asked if anything else was available but was told no because of other reservations although tables were empty and the seats of the booth we had to sit in were dirty (2) 3 members of my party ordered the same breakfast dish and when the first 2 plates were delivered they were missing an item. When I asked the hostess who brought the food for the missing items, I was told that it was optional and not included. When I asked for a menu to confirm this, she looked annoyed. She turned out to be WRONG and the item was included. (2) Another hostess came and removed menus from our table and when I asked to hold on to one because I was still expecting someone, she told me that brunch was over although we still had half an hour until 3 and our server already told us we had time. She was more concerned with taking our menus than listening to what I was attempting to explain to her. My recommendation is that the hostesses stay at the front door if they do not know how to interact with guests while they are dining.
The waiters will not acknowledge you at all, one of the servers threw the menu on the table and walked away, it was not busy at all. Sat for 35 mins without being talked too then the waiter comes back and say do you guys know what you want. Not even suggesting anything. Overall went to the bar and got better service from the bar man. Never coming here again
Went there to spend my birthday. Over all great ambience! Great food! Great music! And the place has a nice view.
Only downside is that Everytime we order drinks they would take a while. Maybe because it's the holidays they were understaffed? I'm not sure but I still had a good time.
Looked like a cool place but expensive for what you get and food was burned. They use kitchen at Bucca de Beppo so seemed like it took awhile and very limited menu. It was "eh..." Will not go to eat again.
Upon arriving we were seated immediately with my reservation. It's a really cool spot visually, great for a date and/or chilling with friends. The drinks are pricey ($14) but aren't that good, the drink menu seemed limited however there is a full bar so you are able to order classic cocktails. I ordered the turkey club with fries, the fries were hard and cold, also the turkey was a little dry. So I wouldn't recommend ordering food here. My friends and I sat on the patio and as night fell it became chilly out and none of the heat lamps worked except for one. Lastly, car validation is only provided for those that park in the Farmer's Market parking lot, not the "Grove" parking structure (total inconvenience). Overall, it was an alright experience, the best part was catching up with my girlfriends. Oh, one more thing, the service is basic, nothing over the top, the waitress was the norm (polite, kind, patient, brought our items out in a timely manner, etc.)....ok, that's it.
I've been here a few times before and had a god time, this time it was not a good experience. There was no dj as is says on there website dj spins Saturday's and Sunday's for brunch. Drinks were watered down, our mimosa's and bellini's were all juice. And they no longer let you do bottomless without a brunch combo (me and my friend wanted to share the big breakfast). Even when we asked for the manger to tell about our experience she didn't really help just agreed with us on how the place isn't the same. The food was good and the ambiance is so cute but I think Mixology will no longer be one of my brunch spots
I came here while waiting to check into mullahs forthright long weekend. I found it online and quickly explored the menu before deciding to come. While I was pleased with the ambience (which I couldn't honestly care less about), the service and the food was pretty dreadful. There's no host/hostess, so I stood for a second wondering where to go. I finally had to ask one of the bartenders who walked by a few times what the process was. I sat at the bar and the bartender seemed pretty annoyed by having to serve me and rushed me trough my drink and food order. On top of that, they were apparently out of what I really came for (the wings). After I ordered, I didn't hear from my bartender until he brought my food. He disappeared again and was more interested in the guys on the other side of the bar. I had to flag him down a few times (and the manager saw me sitting there perplexed).
As a visitor, this is exactly what I heard LA was about. Shame.
The spinach artichoke dip is more like cheese with frozen spinach pieces on it. Gross.
Had to hunt down manager to place and order
entire staff was rude. Was never checked up on. Was quite excited to eat there being we're from a place where this chain is not located. Total disappointment.
Brunch meal was different then what is shown on website. Only 5 items, where web shows 8.
