I reserved a table for 10. It was my dad's birthday. Nice ambience. Service was subpar. You constantly have to tell your waitress to get drinks like water or tea for everyone. You have to remind her to get utensils. The sushi, sashimi, and rolls were disappointing. We got the sushi for two with rolls. The sushi and sashimi portions were so small. Its half the size of everywhere else. Even their specialty rolls were small. It was the size of other restaurants regular rolls! The food was not fresh. Duck was fatty, Chilean Sea bass was overcooked and full of dried sauce (salty, not flaky, overcooked - how could a chef get that wrong)? The thai snapper was decent. Chicken and Beef Udon were salty - it tasted saltier after every bite. I even tasted MSG!!! The waitress apologized for the long wait for the kitchen food...the place wasnt even full or eveb half full. It was 6P. I already knew when it was time for dessert, they will have dessert thAt wont be available. Will never go back again. Worst Japanese food I ever had. Not worth $400. The supermarket taste better

Made an early reservation so we could enjoy a leisurely dinner. After 2 hours, my dad and I were so amazed at the quality and inventive menu. The prices were very reasonable too. I would recommend the oysters, lobster guacamole with onion pancakes. Save room for dessert. When we left, the place was almost full so make a reservation. Kid friendly too

Overall I love this place. Service is good. Decor and ambiance are great. Sometimes the food is a bit “samey”. Dishes tend to be heavy on dark sauces with a lot of sauce covered with gravy.
It won’t stop me from going back but I’d like to see some lighter fresher dishes.
Found this place online and it didn't disappoint! The crab wontons were delicious and the seaweed salad was to die for! If you are ever in Flushing, I highly recommend this place.

This was my second time eating at Mito. I chose it because the place is family friendly - I needed a place that could accommodate my 4-year-old and 18-month-old. The food was great, atmosphere was lovely and service was excellent. I'll be coming back with the family.

The food was great! Mother, who is the world’s biggest critic has truly enjoyed the meal and dinning experience. It was important I pleased her, as I’m now unable to visit her as often as I use to. The flavors was well balanced, and the momentum of the delivery to the table was spot on to keep the flow going. Great staff!
I love the comfy, romantic ambiance. Why go to Manhattan when its already in your neighborhood. Great for couples, groups and families. The food was good and so was the service. The salmon teriyaki comes in a large plate can be shared if your a small portions eater (like elderlies, and children). Sushi was great just what I expected. Will try fancy sushi next time. Already recommended to a friend. Will definitely go again.

I had the best time with my wife at Mito in Valentine’s Day. The interior design was very asian & modern. Our server was amazing. She new exactly when to come and pour our drinks and made suggestions for the menu. That’s what I call great service when the server has knowledge and can make good suggestions. If you’re driving parking isn’t that bad. Overall I think this is a great restaurant.

There was a table of about 8 female teachers that were so loud that they bothered the rest of the Restaurant. How do i know that? When they left the noise level was back to a human level. Mgmt should not be afraid to ask a table to quiet down for the benefit of the other guests....

Went to Mito for a casual lunch. The lunch specials were delicious and very Japanese. Mito appears to be a fusion restaurant with a focus towards Japanese cuisine. Good choice. The inside decor is trendy. The restaurant seems to lean towards dinner and nighttime fun.
