The noise level here is extremely high. People had to yell at each other and wait staff. Food is fabulous.
We actually travel from Manhattan to Brooklyn to dine at the wonderful Miti Miti. We are both vegan, and your choices are scrumptious and varied. The margaritas are divine!
Great food, great service. The hostess answering the phone could have been a bit more professional, but overall great experience
I come to this restaurant very frequently, I had the same waiter twice in a row my last two visits and his service was VERY poor. The first time I was alone so I tipped what he deserved. I went late in the evening the following day and it was worst. Come to find out the tip was included on the bill. I was so furious because I know he didn't deserve $1 of the $15 I had to pay. The two service experiences that were poor. Food was amazing though.
Tacos, aqua fresca, server were outstanding. Drinks and guac pretty good. Will be back.
Went for brunch with my friends.
Friendly service. Fun interior.
Bad food... Good portion, but very salty guacamole. I ordered steak and eggs ($21), asked for medium rare and got two pieces of really really small/thin well-done beef. Honestly, it would be probably extremely difficult to cook it medium rare considering the meat was so thin (imagine korean BBQ beef, and half of that thickness) . One of my friends ordered burger, asked for medium and again, got well-done, and wasn't good either. Another friend ordered shrimp with rice, and she said it was pretty tasty. The fish tacos looked good, and great portion. For drink, we ordered white sangria pitcher. It was very refreshing but couldn't taste any alcohol... The service was very slow, we had to wait for at least 20min before we got our entrees after finishing our guacamole and drinks. Also, the place was pretty loud.
It wasn't a bad experience but I don't think I would come back.
Miti Miti is mediocre, mediocre.
Cute overly decorate Day of the Dead motif. Music is very lour.
Beware of a few things. Our server was nice but pushy around the add-one- guac made at the table - Patron tequila. That margarita was 17.00! And how was it? The margarita ingredients include sour mix which I tried to get more info about from our server but really she was clueless about it so I went along. Not surprisingly my margarita tasted like a whisky sour so back it went for a second try sans sour mix. It was ok.
Now the food. We decided on some tapas-like small plates rather than the usual Tex Mex dishes. There is a nice variety. Bacon dates were very good as were the Mango Coconut chicken wings. Brussels sprout were way under cooked. The special tuna tostada was bland.
The bill - where I discovered the 17.00 meh margarita had a 20% gratuity added on. That seemed unusual so I asked our server who got very defensive and kept saying not to blame her. Although she did not bring us the menu our server told us that it is a policy after 10p. But we came in at 9p reservation on Open Table. It did not seem to matter because it was in effect if you get your bill after 10p. So beware if you want to linger over your meal.
Upon exiting I questioned this and the manager was called. When I first asked the server she just said that was the policy but did not say it was suggested and I could change it. I always tip 18% and go to 20% or even a little more depending on the circumstances but this certainly felt like a railroad job.
The manager indicated it was listed on the menu in several places albeit in small print. No real apology or effort to offer any compensation. But of course we would not be interested in eating there again between the inconspicuous added costs, mediocre food and general attitude.
Great food, great ambient, great service. everything we tried in Miti Miti tasted amazing. Great job Cheff!
Everything was very tasty and the service was good. The environment is above all FUN and vibrant. 12 dollars for a pretty hefty kale and quinoa salad which is not too bad considering how much that kind of salad usually goes for and the fact that portions are usually very small. I mean its still 12 dollars for leaves...but like when I get my paycheck I'll probably get it again.
Amazing Time! Dinner was delicious! Drinks were on point and service was pretty good. Thanks Alma
I had salmon with kale and house salad. Cleaned the plate. Also had tuna with avocado on tostados, first time trying that, it was amazing. Plus I’m newly diabetic, and they have a ton of meals for me, so I have a new favorite spot. Very close to the Barclays downtown Brooklyn also.
Literally the loudest restaurant I’ve ever eaten in. Might’ve been because it was a sat night & there was a large party celebrating - but I was hoarse from trying to talk with my dinner companion.
Food was good, value was as expected for the neighborhood.
We love Miti Miti, and frequently travel from Manhattan to Brooklyn to dine there! The food, especially for two longtime vegans, is outstanding, with many scrumptious choices; the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is fun.
I’ve been here a couple of times. My issues still remain the same. They recommend giving feedback on there customer questioner that they attach with the bill, however, I never see a change. The host is always not welcoming. That’s a turn off as soon as I hit the door. Service is always just okay. Nothing special to call home about. The only reason I continue to go here is because of the quality food and drinks. However, if the service continues this horribly, I can’t see myself returning.
They would not accept our open table reservation for 8:30pm so we had to wait 25 minutes for a table to open up. Next we were not checked in on by the waitress for quite a while, and a table that was seated after us ordered before we did. That is a pet peeve of mine, as I was a server myself awhile ago. I’d like to note we were very hungry at this point with no chips or drinks or anything for quite a bit. Then it took an hour for our entrees of 3 tacos and mole enchiladas to arrive. Something was wrong with the kitchen as many other diners were not getting their orders either. We talked to the two tables next to us. We ended up eating at 10pm, which was not fun for anyone. The manager offered us shots but we really just wanted to get out of there at that point. He did comp one round of drinks We should have known something was up from the beginning when they wouldn’t honor the open table reservation. The manager of the restaurant should have just been honest and said they had problems in the kitchen instead of saying it was a glitch on open table and we didn’t really have a reservation.
This restaurant was fantastic! Although my food, which was called something like Camarones del Diablo, was not super delicious, it was good. However, the service, the atmosphere, and patience with my party's tardiness was amazing! I would recommend this place for a group of friends in need of a good hangout with a variety of food options for everyone from vegan to carnivore. But, don't forget your wallet and come near payday if you have anyone in your party that likes to drink alcohol.
Had a great time! Food was great and service was really good! Will be going back!
It was an amazing experience. The waiter was awesome and on top of everything.
Was initially turned off by a cold greeting from the Hostest but this was more than made up for by the awesome service we received from the waitress. The food was amazing and the atmosphere very fun and energetic. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun weekend brunch option!
Great food and drink selection with extensive happy hours throughout the week. I got the spicy pineapple marg which was decent, maybe a little on the too-sweet side and the green goddess taco which was tasty and the perfect size taco (not too big or small). Biggest downfall was that you cannot carry on a conversation because the music is too loud. I had to ask to sit outside because then music was blaring (and it was even still a little loud outside!). I would like to go back to try their brunch menu but hope the music level will be lower (I just can't imagine that they keep it at that level all the time!)
Excellent food. They were mainly attentive but I think we were there when our waitress was changing shift and she kinda disappeared. Others covered when we needed it. The place was fun and they handled our group of 8 (with 2 kids) very well. The music was Very loud, too much for us, but fun.
Outstanding service and cuisine. Will definitely return the next time I’m in the area!
We were seated quickly. The waiter was fun and he made the experience one for us to remember. He went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. My 5th time going with different groups of family and friends and it won’t be my last...
Really great food! Service was a little slow but I was prepared for it since there was a concert going on. I did though tell the waiter we had a time constraint and he was happy to oblige by it. The Asian taco was the best I’ve ever eaten in my life.
Always a great time and the food is delicious. Top notch service. All usual, lively and fun environment, everyone thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere. Still finding new flavors to try and nothing disappoints.
The noise level inside was so loud we couldn’t hear each other (obnoxious and kind of incongruous clubby music, playing on top of an already very high noise level). We moved to the sidewalk patio and it was much better. Great menu, food was tasty and reasonably priced, but I’d hesitate to go again without being able to sit outside. The tv screen playing sports didn’t do much for the vibe indoors either.
Miti Miti is delicious! However, I wish they would bring back the old menu. The old menu had jerk eloté corn, molé poblano, and empañadas. It was so yummy, the current menu is just ok.
Average experience, nothing special.
Completely overpriced Steph got on a chair with a knife to cut balloons down while we were eating
The best thing I had was the jerk chicken taco and the street corn, the chicken taco toppin was fine but my chicken look like and tasted like it had it sitting there for hours and just reheat it to put in the the taco...oil as if they drop in it a deep frier over and over, the drink were not strong I had to buy three of the margaritas jus to get a buzz (especially if you want a frozen )
This was my first time visiting Miti Miti and it is now my favorite Mexican restaurant . The size of the restaurant is deceiving from the front, the place actually stretches all the way back and there were a few small tables outside in the front. The vibe of the restaurant is fun, its very loud because its just tables and tables of people having a great time. Everything we ordered (tacos, guac, fajitas, margaritas & tres leches) were amazing and our server Autumn was super attentive and helpful. This place is a must.
We had an amazing time celebrating our birthday with a group of 12. The food and drinks were absoluteley amazing. Service was great but drinks from the bar took forever. And, the noise level with loud music made it really hard to carry a conversation. But all in all awesome. The food is incredible.
Caroline was awesome, we were a party of 8 but she handled everything extremely well
Always amazing food, service and a great time!!!!!
Good spot for drinks and Mexican food. The frozen margarita machine wasn’t working and we were told it would be fixed in 15 minutes and it still wasn’t fixed 1 1/2 hours that we were there. Overall good time tho
I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was well seasoned but they only give you 4 wingettes. The drinks were a nice size and had the right amount of alcohol. I think the waiter should bring the orders faster. Especially if you have bottomless.
The food is not good value for money. The vegan burrito is $17 but is just a wrap with 95% rice and some very salty kale. Very disappointed!
Some of the worst service I have ever received. The restaurant was packed and we were told the kitchen was backed up after waiting 30 minutes for our pitcher of Margaritas and for the waiter to come take our food order. We told the waiter that we had a show to be at and asked if we would get our food within 30 minutes. He said no. We ordered some apps that he said would arrive in time. 2 of the 3 apps we ordered arrived in time. We couldn't flag down our waiter to get our check so we had to stand up and find someone to check us out. The food was average. This party of 4 will never be returning.
Terrible food. Food was greasy and lukewarm. Service was slow. Incredibly overpriced for quality of food.
Great food and ambience. Love the decor. Service and staff great and professional. Nice variety of food.
