Mitchell's Steakhouse is open Monday through Friday for lunch and daily for dinner. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The restaurant was extremely busy - we had to wait just over an hour for our entrees. We were on a time crunch because we were attending a show and we gave ourselves what we thought was plenty of time but it turned out we had to rush and were not able to order dessert. The food was not super hot either - pretty sure it could have been brought out 5 or 10 minutes earlier.
Food was delicious! Great service! Best steak I have had in a while! I have a pepper allergy and the waiter replaced the side I had ordered with one I was able to have. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of items without pepper. The rest of the table enjoyed the other sides and they were delicious as well. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, but we were going to a play. We all had a great time.
We had an incredibly disappointing meal here on NYE. Admittedly, it was NYE and busy, but the food was marginal and the service terrible. Our waiter knew nothing about wine and clearly just wanted to turn the table. Several years ago, this was a nice place for a special occasion meal. It has really slipped.
We were seated behind the kitchen line, which is also next to the restrooms. You can imagine how distracting that can be, having a consistent flow of people on one side and the line noise on the other (plates clashing and employees talking like they’re not around guests). The food was good, but comparison to other steakhouses it was a bit average. The cocktails were delicious. The service was great.
We went there for our 40th Anniversary The food was real good, the waitress was attentive, and the cocktails were right on. The only thing that I didn't like was that we had made a reservation a few weeks in advance and had asked for a booth. They sat us at a small table by the front door where the cold of the outside kept blowing in. Had we been put into the booth we asked for we would have never have had to sit in the cold.
We were greeted promptly; and seated at a nice table. the server was excellent. He offered a perfect glass of chardonnay that wasn't on the menu. It was delicious. He made sure not to rus us during our dinner.
I had the lobster bisque - was perfect. I ordered the holiday special two 4 oz filets (one oscared & one shrimp scampi). One of the medallions was perfectly cooked med rare. The other one was medium. I didn't complain. We shared a mashed potato that was bland. Disappointed in that; expecting something delicious. My homemade mashed potatoes are 100 times better than those. My husband thought they were instant! (we didn't complain)
I don't think I'd come back because the price is not justified for the quality of the food. But, if they could improve their food quality to equal their very nice service quality I would.
Very disappointed with our experience. The service was horrible and although the steaks were good, for the price they were not worth it and the extras were a disappointment. There are many better deals around town at a much better price with equal or better food.
We have an aging parent in the hospital and had to stay in town at the last minute away from the rest of our family. On top of that our family pet is dying from cancer. It's been a tough week. We thought we'd be at home and sad for all that has been happening to us and found out that Mitchell's was open and doing a 4 course Thanksgiving meal. It was so nice to have a little bit of time to be happy and thankful for having each other. That was afforded to us by the excellent service provide to us, the delicious meal, and the ambience. Thank you.
This place is great. Best steakhouse in town by far and some of the best staff in Columbus. Highly recommend for a special occasion or if you just feel like having a nice dinner with a loved one. I always love dining here. Thanks for such exceptional service and fantastic food!
We were disappointed with this visit to Mitchell's. It was our first time since the change in ownership. While the steaks were great quality and cooked to perfection, 2 of 4 were cold. The sides were cold. Sides were delicious when returned hot but we were nearly done with our steaks by then. Service was extremely slow. Martinis were small for the price. They were out of the wine we ordered. To their credit, they comped the sides. Seems to be a management/staffing issue, not food quality. Hope they get their game back to keep a great long time reputation.
