Food was warm. Had to ask for a refill . Food took over an hour to come
The ambiance was nice but it smelled musty, like a grandmother's home. I don't know if this can be helped?
Driver here we everything. The French onion soup was the best I've had and the steak duo was excellent and left me wanting more. Creme brulee was so unbelievably delish.
As always Mitchell''s does an excellent job. The prices are high, but that wasn't unexpected. The jalapeno au gratin potatoes are one of the best sides I've had anywhere.

Our waitress was great, our food perfect, came out steaming and delicious. We love eating here.
Our server was mixing up all of our orders with other tables and forgetting our orders and they were coming out incorrectly. When they were she did not take the food back to the kitchen she just moved the food from one table to another. With covid, this is not safe at all. She did not seem well (mentally). If it was not for the manager to step in and resolve our issue and her other tables, this would have gotten so much worse
Lovely place! Filet was best I’ve had in a long time and perfectly cooked. Service wonderfully attentive but not hovering; thank you!
Common. Disappointed. Started with an insect in a water glass, really bad wine selection, I accepted the second bottle - my mistake. Parm crisps on the Caesar were burnt very badly.
Waiter never recognized either issue with an recognition nor an apology. Thinking must have been new. This was 30year anniversary, not sure why inexperienced waiter was assigned for us. Staff knew that was the occasion.
Lobster bisque and Steaks were excellent. Prepared well.
Did leave an 18% for the waiter, even though didn’t earn. know it’s been tough on staff since COVID.

Then we got new steaks - rare.
One of the guests - who was the guest of honor - gave up and just sent it back. One took it home to cook the next day.
Since I was the host I was very disappointed in my choice.
I know places are short staffed but this was beyond that. I asked for extra salad dressing and never did receive it even with two extra requests. She would walk right past our table to drop off something but couldn't bring that item. She would deliver water but couldn't bring salad dressing. My husband asked for steak sauce when our steaks were delivered. Then asked again when his beer was delivered after the steak. Then I asked again when she refilled our water. Needless to say I finished the rest of my salad (without extra dressing), finished my steak and mac and cheese and he was still waiting on his steak sauce. When she finally brought it she collected my dirty dishes and he was finally ready to eat his cold steak after I finished my entire meal. Fries were already finished at this point for my husband. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and could have chosen any place to try and this was the place we chose. It was our first and last time here.
The food was terrific. The service was very good. The only reason not 5 stars is we didn’t get bread like the other tables around us and the service was a bit slow but her friendliness more than made up for it. Great meal but very expensive.
Obviously understaffed which negative impacted our experience. For example we went without water in in our glasses for a significant period of time, which would not have occurred in pre-COVID-19 times. This is no fault of our server who was professional and composed throughout. Understand this is an issue across all restaurants and other service-related industries as a result of COVID-19 impact. Perhaps should limit tables available rather than expecting the impossible from existing dedicated staff.
Very very nice restaurant. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was chill. Celebrated my birthday and it was a perfect place for that. My party dressed up but you can come business casual and still feel comfortable.

The service was everything I wanted it to be. The host and server gave us info about the menu even told us some wine tips on picking the flavors. I will definitely come back again just because the service was that great. Food was amazing per usual it’s Mitchell’s lol.
Ambiance, with the vaulted ceiling, was the biggest hit of the night. The steaks were ok- ribeye and filet. Both were cooked slightly above the requested temperatures. Medium was more mid-well and the medium rare was closer to medium, which was a bit disappointing. We should have sent them back, but we weren’t in the mood to be that couple. The ribeye was also a bit on the tough side and lacked a bit, in terms of marbeling. The filet was nice and tender, however. The desserts were both excellent- cheesecake and creme brûlée. The service was also excellent. All together, the meal was good, just not a great value, given the high-end price.
Came here for a birthday dinner and the atmosphere was perfect. Service was fantastic, food and drinks were amazing. overall highly recommend!
Everything was good until we were finished eating and waiting for our waitress time with our bill and to request a box. After 14 minutes, we stopped another waiter and asked them to send our waitress to our table. She just acted like it was normal that she had to be asked to come to our table and didn’t apologize or anything.

The staff was struggling to keep up with the dinner crowd and they clearly need a few more hands on deck. It was Friday night so a crowd should be expected. Not all sides came out with entrees and drink refills were slow. I’ll cut some slack for Covid but at these prices I expected more. Food was very good though
We celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at Mitchell's and had a great meal! When I booked on open table I mentioned it was our anniversary. When we got there we had a table set aside and decorated with some "happy anniversary" confetti. The menus even had a Happy anniversary message on the top of them! My "regulars only" cocktail was wonderful. I had the filet duet and it was cooked perfectly to specification. The sides of broccoli & asparagus were huge and very fresh. We had a great evening and would definitely be back!
The food was great, and service was even better. We were impressed with all of the food - everything was delicious and everyone's steaks were cooked as they ordered them. Kelsey was our waitress, and she was amazing! She was very friendly, gave great recommendations, and is very knowledgeable of the menu.

If you’re going to go to one of Mitchell’s restaurants, Ocean Club had much better food, better environment and service. I would not return to the downtown location.
We went for restaurant week, had calamari, braised short rib, salmon. Sadly disappointed. Calamari was cold and tastes like fish sticks, the braised short rib was lukewarm and the gnocchi it came with was cold and the meat was mostly fat, the saks was watery and lacked flavor. My fiance and I were both sad about our food, didn't finish it. The only thing we liked was the dessert.
Really enjoy the atmosphere and the service was great.
This was my 1st time dining at this restaurant. And what a perfect time to go during restaurant week. The food was amazing and very fulfilling. The staff was energetic and gave great customer service. The food came out hot and quickly. There is nothing negative I have to say about this restaurant. I will definitely be returning!!!!
Always a wonderful experience at Mitchell’s. It’s our go to spot whenever we visit Columbus.
Overall a good experience. The steaks were outstanding. The Brussel sprouts should have been sent back but dining partner did not want to. I like vegetables crisp but these were severely undercooked.
Three out of four of the steaks that we ordered were very dry and they ranged in temperature from two mediums and one well done. The server was very nice and the ambiance was lovely but the main purpose behind coming to this restaurant was the steak.
We had not been to Mitchell's downtown for a few years. We were disappointed because it used to be so great! We were there at 7:30pm on Friday night and it was dead- was less than half full; server was good, but getting drinks from bar and food from kitchen was very slow; food was good, but not great. It was about 10pm before we finished. Are they having trouble getting staff or what?
Service seemed to be hit or miss. Ours were fine others seem to be much slower. Overall the food was fine
But my shrimp was rubbery and one of my wife’s petite

Best flavor of steaks we've ever had. Mashed potatoe side was very unimpressive and bland. Would have liked to had some more creative sides options. Wedge salad was incredible, but very stingy on the blue cheese and dressing - but unbelievablly good.
We were SO disappointed. Our manhattans came without cherries. Our steaks were bland but cooked well. The only bright spot was our server Kaylee - who did a fantastic job. We would definitely not go back and this has been a favorite spot for over a decade.
Too many tables per server meant rushed service. Shrimp cocktail appetizer wasn’t delivered before the salad. We were celebrating an anniversary and it was never acknowledged. The check was delivered without asking about dessert. Steaks were very good.
