as always food and sercive were perfect
Good seafood variety and quality, nice atmosphere. Nice to be able to sit outside.
No lids for my to go drink!!! And has been out of lids for at least a week (AND no one saw that problem developing?)
Birthday celebration! We had a good time! We definitely come back!
Really good fish well cooked and friendly service. Close to airport so a good last stop
First time at this restaurant. Liked the menu and all the varied offerings. Enjoyed the seafood dumplings and stuffed shrimp. Lunch portion was large enough to have leftovers. My guest enjoyed a salad topped with seafood. Will return when in the area.
Our server Jalissa made it the best night ever
Great food & great service. Not very noisy. Very relaxing.
Good food and good atmosphere
You can never go wrong dining at Mitchell's. Great food, service was very good. Make awesome crab cakes and their seafood Cobb salad is wonderful. Chock full of delicious seafood. Always a treat to dine there. Wonderful white wine sangria too.
First time visiting and I was very impressed.
Unfortunately, it seems that the high quality I've known from Mitchell's in the past is no longer. It's now on par with Red Lobster and at least they have the delicious cheesy biscuits.
Incredible food, but the tables are a bit too close together
Excellent as always!
Had a great time the food was exactly what we ordered and cooked exactly how we wanted it.
Normally one of my favorite restaurants but lately not so much. Tonight I had a reservation but was sat in the bar. That was fine except no one was assigned to our table. After 12 minutes we went to the hostess who then went and found someone to take our order. The server was very nice and apologetic for missing our table. The bar area was full of bar flies. We spent dinner battling the pesky knats. Food was good. Not excellent but ok. Wedge salad perfect and the waiter was nice enough to have it split in half. Fish and chips were ok. The s is what I always get but it seemed on the skimpy side tonight. But it tasted great. The batter was light and crisp just like I like it. The lobster Mac and cheese was a two star tonight. Very dry and the lobster in it was very chewy. The worst part was the pasta was all globed together. I will probably go again but I may not look forward to it like I normally do.
Met our dealer with two colleague’s from Germany and had a great time. Food, service and everything else was first class.
Underwhelmed and slow service.
I don't think the waitstaff was very familiar with the menu and we were under-whelmed with every aspect of the dining experience. To begin, the recommended cocktail was way too tart and sweet; the seafood gumbo was, interestingly, a tomato-based gumbo, with a clump of "sticky" rice in the middle. I'm uncertain whether a tomato-base works well for gumbo, and this was certainly a first twist for me. The spicy shrimp appetizer, although sufficient in portion, consisted of the tiniest shrimp... My stuffed flounder-an order that was misplaced- is a lot tastier at the sister restaurant, Landrys. The manager did kindly offer to remove the appetizer due to the wait. I would go back to Landry's, but I would have to think twice about visiting Mitchell's Fish Market, unfortunately.
First time to eat at Mitchel's. Music was a bit too loud but the food and the service were great.
Great food! Good service. Good atmosphere. We will definitely go back again.
We were in Tampa for baseball, and yet wanted a nice dinner each evening. We both love fish - I am from New Bedford originally - and we were very happy with our diner at Mitchell's. We both had the shrimp - 3 way - bacon/BBQ, grilled, fried - over seasoned rice. Finished up with delicious banana pudding. Service was terrific - and we both enjoyed the MoTown/blues/funk soundtrack! You will see us next time we are in town!
My Mom’s Birthday
Waitress knocked over drink picked up quickly with fingers inside of cup. Placed back with an apology but not replace it and charged me for something I didn't get to enjoy.
Food was ver good. However it took 60mins from arrival to get our entree yet restaurant was only 75% full. And we were seated by servers station located in middle of main dining room - very very disruptive to our meal.
Food was great !
We had an African American young lady as a trainee and she was superb!
Terrible experience. Mitchell’ has lost it’s luster. Our server was
The food was cold and mashed potatoes were given in error
Treated dear friends to their first experience at Mitchell’s ... they loved it as did we as usual
Since this restaurant was bought by a large corporation, it has changed...mainly the quality and value of their food. In the past, the menu was printed each day because it was dependent upon the chefs’ finds with the local purchased seafood and steaks. The menu, then, would vary by week and by season. Present time, the menu has not changed, the portions have gotten smaller and the prices have gone up. This was a birthday dinner for my husband, while the ambience was great, the meal was less than what we’ve come to expect over the years, and that is generally stellar. We won’t be back anytime soon as we will be patronizing our local seafood restaurants to celebrate special occasions.
There were a couple stretches where it seemed no one was keeping track of how we were doing at our table but the food was excellent quality and very well prepared with good presentation. Overall our group of eight was very satisfied.
Mitchell's has been a favorite dining spot of ours for years. While a bit pricey, we've always enjoyed excellent food, well-prepared and great service. We went for dinner on Saturday and had our first, bad experience. My pan-seared grouper was completely raw in the middle, which is a bit surprising given this is a seafood specialty restaurant and, for $30, they should get the grouper entree right! If this wasn't bad enough, they took my plate away and held onto it for 10-15 minutes while I sat with no food and my husband tried not to eat his food, getting cold fast. A quick "touch up" on my fish took way, way too long and was not given priority. It wasn't until the manager saw what was happening and went back in the kitchen that the plate finally returned (about 5 minutes later, so clearly it was just sitting to the side). It really ruined our meal together and I half expected them to comp me the entree. Instead, they offered dessert which we refused, so they brought it over anyway. After we both stared at it and refused to eat it (we're trying to eat healthy), the manager took it away. They ended up comp-ing us a side dish and apologizing. Time to try another restaurant in the West Shore area - Besito looks great! Sorry to take Mitchell's off our list.
Great food and service, definitely worth a repeat visit.
This place has gone done in recent months.
The service was absolutely excellent from start to finish! Likewise, the food was fantastic in every respect. It was truly a magnificent dining experience.
Food had no flavor. Prices are too high. Music did not fit the ambiance.
Yum. Stuffed myself with the stuffed cod.
Didn't have at least five things that we asked for. Simple things like pelligrino, lemons, asparagus. Food was good, but for a fine dining restaurant we wouln't expect them not to
have simple items.
All was fine except I had mentioned several times that the couple we were with was celebrating their anniversary, I even had it in notes on open table.
The restaurant did nothing, that was a bIt upsetting.
Anniversary out together...
Mitchell’s has been one of our favorites, but this evening it was off...staff was preoccupied, service was slow and inattentive, at least a dozen staff overheard talking about the new managers preference toward a friend they hired getting better shifts and not doing good work yet getting preferential treatment...
We were very disappointed!
