Best seafood restaurant in town. Stuffed cod was delicious! Blackened halibut was worth the trip!
Food was delish!
The food was good and they have a pretty good variety of seafood to choose from. I had the fried trio and my husband had the lobster/shrimp duo. Wine and beer choices were pretty good too.
I haven't been to this restaurant for about 10 years. I had a gift certificate so we went there to try it. It seemed like not much had changed. Kind of older and seemed like the furniture was not as kept up. Our table wobbled and the arm of my chair kept coming off.
The service was wonderful and we even got a free dessert for our anniversary that we were celebrating.
Our booth was a little too close to the front entrance which allowed a lot of cold air to come under the table & we were a bit chilly. The server did a great job. He was always available but not over-bearing.
Robert was excellent
We always have a great time when we come to Mitchell’s!
Shanghai SeaBass was amazing. The service was great, as well. Even the kids menu food was delicious with generous portion sizes. We will be back for sure!
Great restaurant, good seafood. I was surprised it wasn’t busy for a Saturday night. Our waitress was excellent.
Previously, I was a regular at the Birmingham restaurant until their closing. Always enjoyed my visits and benefits of my Larry's card. Only problem I had was that my GPS gave me a scenic tour thru Southfield and Birmingham to N. Adams. Enjoyed the scenic drive to Rochester Hills. Shorter route is Coolidge to 696 to I-75 North to Adams Road. However, once I arrived at Mitchell's the staff was very courteous, the food was tasty as usual, facility very clean, restroom very clean. I am very glad the shops were closed, otherwise I would have been detained as my wife decided to make a few visits. Never saw a shopping center she did not like. As He. MacArthur nonce said I shall return." Thanks for a wonderful afternoon.
We were there to celebrate Easter and a Birthday. We were put way in the back, in a separate room. Service was extremely slow even though we had two wait persons. Apps were good. Main course was not real warm and stuffed shrimp were dry.
We sat in the bar so that we could watch the NCAA Basketball tournament games!
Food was very good except for their spinach. Asked to be seated in a warm booth and was seated by the door, which is very cold. Otherwise, service was very good.
Went for Sunday lunch. Love seafood so food was great...but cleanliness was not! My family was seated at a table that was dirty. I had to ask to be moved. Floor was dirty with food crumbs and paper straws. Waiter brought my child a highchair that was disgusting. It had food that was crusted dried stuck on every angle of the chair. When I requested a clean one, waiter came back with a wet cloth, wiped it and tried to scratch crusted food off with his nails. I told him to just forget it and my 2 yr old just sat in a regular chair.
Love love love this place! Great char broiled oysters, fish and chips, salmon and spinach apple salad.
Pecan crusted trout was delicious, my husband had a seafood platter that was very well done. Our server, Tim, was exceptional. This was our first visit, and we will be back.
We had a wonderful dinner at Mitchell's on Friday. The service was wonderful. The food was excellent. We'll be back again soon.
Great, as always.
Everything was great, thanks!
Food tasted great, good ambience, good drinks.
Service was phenomenal (Ken). The evening was what I come to expect from Mitchell’s, an all around good dining experience
The food and service was great. And I'm glad they didn't sing Happy Birthday
Wonderful evening. Service was great. Food was super. Looking forward to next time.
I met friends for lunch and it was not very busy so the noise was minimal. Our waiter Rick was excellent!!
We had made a reservation and we initially sat near the kitchen which was loud....we were move to a much better table and wondered why we were not put there in the first place. Also, I had requested that my king crab legs be cut done the middle and they were not and I had to send them back. Overall, Mitchell's has good seafood.
Ambiance, staff, price and food quality is always 5 stars.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Excellent food and service. Food was much better than the dinner we had at Joe Muer earlier this year.
Everything was very good
We went to Mitchell's for a pre-Valentine's Day celebration. Service was outstanding, as was the attentiveness of the manager. Carlos, our waitperson, heard me questioning the use of the Birthday points reward (Landry Select Club Card) with the hostess, and when he realized we were his table, sent the manager over to answer my question. In addition, he was very considerate of the time we requested to have a glass of wine, appetizer, and talk for awhile before dinner. His timing was perfect when he came back to take our order, which was served quickly and hot. We enjoy having a good meal in a nice atmosphere, with friendly wait staff. It was a lovely way to celebrate Valentine's Day. Highly Recommend Mitchell's in Rochester!
The food was amazing and our servee was very attentive
We enjoyed the time and our waitress provided an excellent service. Thanks
The Chilean Sea Bass was fantastic as was the ahi tuna raw appetizer.
Great food and great service.
Food was excellent. We had the special and it was cooked to perfection. Jaclyn was our waitress and did an awesome job being very attentive to us.
Our meals were delicious and our waiter very attentive
Not great anymore. We have been here twice since Nov and it's not what it used to be - a high end steakhouse with good food and pro service.
First, we had a couple of drinks at the bar before our 6.30 reservation. The bar was about half full and there were 2 bartenders working the bar. We had to flag down a bartender to order a second drink. They stood with their backs to us without following up if we wanted to order anything more. The couple next to us ordered food and it was brought but they were not given silverware - they had to ask. The lady had old lipstick (not hers) on her champagne flute. When we wanted to cash out the bar tab we waited at least another 5-6 minutes with neither of the bartenders acknowledging us. We then had to wait another 5 minutes for the manager to process the rewards car but they never swiped my credit card so I had to hand it back again.
For dinner two times now at peak dinner hour we have had to ask for bread. The servers here do not ask anymore if we want bread or just bring it to the table. I asked for bread and it took at least 10-12 minutes as they were baking fresh bread. Again this was 6.30 on a Thursday night so why is it not ready ahead of time? I was done with the appetizer before the bread arrived. For main meal I ordered the Filet (cooked medium) it came out and I could tell immediately it was overcooked as it was charred on top. Sure enough when I sliced it open it was well done and very dry. The server agreed and took it back. Then two separate dining room managers asked how our meals were? My Mom was done with her meal, but I was still waiting for my new filet to be cooked. While waiting I observed a server juggling lemons at the bar with 3-4 other servers standing around doing nothing. The second filet was better, but then the asparagus was half cooked and they forgot the hollandaise (which was provided on the first plate). They did comp my meal, but overall it was not a great experience.
Great atmosphere inside restaurant. Cozy but elegant. Food is really tasty. We were there to celebrate anniversary for two, it’s just perfect!
We had a great meal and experience at Mitchell’s. Our server was attentive and kind. We were celebrating a birthday and he received a free dessert.
I have been to this location multiple times before but after this experience I don't think I will come back. Service given to us was terrible even though the restaurant was almost empty. Food was ok, except for ice cream which was clearly refrozen as even 5 year olds didn't want to eat it. I am starting to understand why the Birmingham location was terminated.
