Headed over to Mitchell's in Rochester a little early to try to beat out the impending snow storm. Sat in the bar area for their happy hour. Every part of our experience was fantastic: the atmosphere, the friendly staff, the pricing, and definitely the food! This location is well managed and it shows! Love coming here! Great job Hailey (manager) and all staff present. Will definitely be back!

Waitress was great and very attentive. The sea bass was very undercooked so I sent it back and asked for some soup instead. The manager then came over and seemed a bit combative like he was offended that didn’t like my food. The hostess also asked me if I was a member of their super duper diamond elite captains club when I checked in for my reservation. I said that I wasn’t and she didn’t bother to explain what it even was. The waitress was very kind and helpful but the hostess and the manager were very unprofessional.

We dined at the Mitchell's location in Rochester Hills, MI on Valentine's Day, which also happened to be our wedding anniversary. The experience was close to perfect, the ambiance, the food, the service, were all fantastic! It wasn't too loud, and the table seatings were spaced out on this very busy evening very strategically so it didn't seem like the staff was overwhelmed and the patrons were frustrated and impatient while waiting for their table to be ready. The food was delicious and served hot. Just overall a great experience can't wait to go back again!

The food is always great- from the appetizers to the lobster tails. Our server was wonderful, she wasn’t pushy just the perfect amount of friendly and knowledgeable. Our drinks were also delicious. The only thing I didn’t care for and will try to request when making a reservation next time is sitting at a table right in the middle of the restaurant. I could hardly hear my husband talking because the gentleman at the table behind me was talking right in my ear. Not the biggest deal tho- food and service made up for that.

This place used to have good seafood and a nice happy hour. Current situation is really poor. Waited 20 minutes for water, waiter rarely came by, and food was average. Hope they get back on track - we used to enjoy it.

I had a taste for some seafood and decided to go here for a birthday lunch. The seafood is so fresh and delicious. The drinks were great as well. The service was really nice and I will be back again. The only thing I did not like was when I booked the reservations I included that it was my birthday. The hostess was the only person that acknowledged my birthday.

I was very disappointed in the food. The fried calamari was the worst calamari I have ever eaten. It was like leather shoelaces. Dried out and tough. My tenderloin was nothing special, a bit dried out. However, the trout was delicious. My server was very good. The mix drinks were excellent. I expect better quality when I drop $200 for 2 meals and 3 drinks

This was our third visit and was 100% improvement over the last. Our server, Harley, was very attentive and made sure the courses were brought out at correct temp. etc. The kitchen was backed up because of large parties....which was part of our issue at the last visit. Overall the food was good.

Great service. We asked for a round table for 6 and the hostess worked it out for us. We had a waitress, Harley, who was consistently dependable. She allowed us the time to have drinks, then appetizers and then dinner. She gave us an appropriate time between courses. When asked for ranch, we got ranch..not in 5 minutes, but right away! We asked for more tartar sauce, and the tartar sauce was delivered! I know this doesn't sound like much, but we have found it hard to find great and accommodating servers! All of our meals were outstanding.

Mitchell's is always a favorite when meeting friends for dinner. It's reliable, and I say that in a good way. If you want Shanghai style sea bass, there is no place else to go. It's the best. Nice wine selections, too. Kudos to our waitress, Isla, who was prompt without being pushy. She was a lot of fun.

Once again another incredible meal at Mitchell's Fish Market. My husband and I made reservations for New Year's Eve and so glad we did! We were seated as soon as we walked in the door and our waitress was very on top of it. We skipped appetizers although there were plenty that sounded so good. Instead we decided to share a bowl of the Lobster bisque. It was incredible and I definitely recommend! The bowl was perfect for two although you could order a cup each if you wanted. I had the cedar plank salmon and my husband ordered the lobster tail and filet combo. Both were cooked perfect. We also shared a piece of the Turtle cheesecake and it was to die for. I'm so glad we decided to on Mitchell's for out New Years Eve dinner. Plus this time we decided to join the Landry's dining club membership. I recommend that as well. The cost is minimal and pays for itself.

Reservations mean nothing (you may or may not have one when you get here). The food is production styles that seems reheated. You have to hunt down you server for anything. I’m not sure what happened to Mitchell’s but this is not the same restaurant it used to be. Very poor.

We ordered spicy crispy shrimp, Mitchell's seafood trio, seafood Americana, clam chowder, lobster bisque , seafood gumbo and creme brulee. All very good and highly recommended.
