Lunch was delicious, better than the first time we visited some years ago. Server was extremely attentive. Since it was our anniversary, restaurant treated us to free desserts, which were super and much appreciated! Looking forward to our next dining experience at Mitchell's Newport.
We've never had a bad experience at Mitchell's on the Levy. Always very good food, and excellent service. Drinks are a tad pricey, but my guests never complains about their quality.
Excellent spot for seafood in Cincinnati.
Some of our food was so heavily salty it could not be eaten. (sweet potatoes and spinach)
Shrimp and scallops were very small and just OK.
I could not be happier with the experience I had last Saturday night when I proposed to my fiance. The manager was so attentive and worked with us. He went above and beyond and it will be something we will never forget. Thanks you so much!!!

My wife and I chose Mitchell's at the Levee to celebrate our 5th Anniversary. All-in-all, it was a pleasant experience.
The Calamari was underdone and tough, and the ribeye lacked flavor. The server was very attentive and asked the chef to whip up some creamy horseradish, which helped with the otherwise lack-luster ribeye.
My wife ordered the Alaskan King Crab; which (as expected) was great.
Very good the service was the best part. Food is always good there
We visit Mitchell's only for special occasions as it is a pricey outing for us. It is our favorite fish restaurant in Cincinnati. The food has always been great, and the view is spectacular. The addition of the Prix Fixe menu certainly makes the price more affordable.
I have never had a bad experience at Mitchell's Newport and have been there several times. The food is beautiful and delicious and the servers are always terrific. Nicholas was friendly, informative, attentive but not intrusive. I was celebrating my birthday with family on the 12th and will be doing it again at lunch with work colleagues on the 17th! That's how much I enjoy Mitchell's Newport!
great staff at the bar (Daniell and John) great food.
The lobster bisque is amazing. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and delicious. This is an excellent choice for seafood. We went early before a movie and there was not much of a crowd. But by the time we left it was quite busy. I recommend reservations or you will have to wait.
The food portions were small and unimpressive. I had blackened scallops and they had a disagreeable burnt flavor. Four thin shoots of asparagus were considered a side portion. On a positive note the bread was excellent.
I can say we've never had a bad experience at Mitchell's Fish Market.
We do have our favorite waiter's, but if they're not available, the person we get, is great!
The food is always fresh and hot and when it comes to the table. The deserts are very special and we've made this our birthday destination. We just love this Mitchell's resturant!
Great service, excellent food and wonderful view of Cincinnati skyline.
Mitchell's always has great food but the service is incredibly slow. Always plan on at least 2 hrs when you dine at Mitchell's.
Ginger crusted salmon is incredible!
We had a great time. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary. We got to the restaurant a little early, and they were able to seat us!
I have eaten at other Mitchell's (they are a chain restaurant), and this one continues to be the worst of the group. The service is ALWAYS horrible. The last time I was there for dinner, and they were a little busy. My fish was oversalted to point that I had to send it back. However, because it's close to the movie theater and convenient, I gave them another opportunity this time for lunch. They weren't busy at all, and we still had to get our own refills on tea. Stay away. The cost isn't in part with the food or service. Go to Trios near Kenwood Mall off Montgomery for a great fish lunch, go anywhere else for a simple sandwich. Also, their attitude at the front host desk is totally inappropriate and unnecessary.
Food was great. Server was awesome and informative. Great atmosphere on the river. Would love to return.
Consistently good. Nothing earthshaking -- except the Hoisin tuna and the Shanghai Seabass!!
Scallops were overcooked - dry and rubbery.
Made my reservation on Open Table and got there early after a ball game. Had requested a view but the group thought that they might forego that for a quicker table. The hostess gave us a buzzer and said we would have first choice to be seated or wait for the view. Unfortunately, they never called us so ultimately, we were even later for our original request. Perhaps we should have made our desires more clear. Ian made up for that by being a wonderful server and the view was spectacular of course.
Food was very overpriced. I ordered a Ceasar salad (5.99) along with a entree and there was only enough lettuce to fill a saucer. Same with Spinach salad (7.99)that partner ordered. Partner ordered Prime Rib and was served a Rib Eye that wasn't even on the menu. SEA Scallops were fresh and tasty but about about nickle size (6) in diamater and served over a bunch of shoestring (but thick) carrots with 2 green beans in the mix for $25.) Clam Chowder was outstanding. Service was some young girl that new hardly anything about the menu when asked questions. She pushed the alcohol.
This restaurant reminded us of a cheap resort area chain with no quality.
Not a scenic view of the river either.
How long do you need to sit at the bar with a broken pager before they start calling out your party? A 40 minute wait for a reservation made a week before is unacceptable. Note to servers: ice water should be an automatic upon greeting, all the time, every time! Other than the pre-seat, service was attentive, beautiful presentation, tasty food.
This was our first visit to Mitchell's. While we enjoyed the view and the dessert was great, the waitress forgot to enter my husband's order for oysters which he was looking forward to but did not want them after his meal. That was disappointing. The crabcakes were good, all crab-meat filling, no bread but were not large-lumb crab meat cakes as described.
We really enjoyed our time at Mitchell's! The food was delicious and the wait was not too long. The service was excellent, and we were surprised by the shark fin pie for our birthday dessert! They helped make our special occasion memorable!
The seafood was fresh and the waitstaff very helpful.
Good spot on the Levee. I travel on business regularly to CVG and use Mitchell's regularly. Its a nice setting on the river. Food is consistently good (better than the Post-Landry's McCormick & Schmick). Decent seafood. Nice selection of wines and beers. Worth a visit
I will not return...making a reservation is a waste of time...seated 35 minutes late!!
The place was really noisy. Hard to hold a conversation. My yellowfin Tuna was good, but the portion was very small, especially for the price.
This was our first time there and we are definitly going back. The food was excellant and the service was impecable
We both had the Shanghai Sampler, which was excellent. (If you don't like ginger, don't get it.) Very flavorful dish. Mitchell's Fish Market is a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
We have enjoyed meals at this restaurant many times. The food is prepared well, selection is good, and the service is predictable. The wine list seems to have less selections than previously.
wonderful, wonderful dinner!!! Food was SO WELL PREPARED!! Delicious! Our server went above and beyond to make sure we were having a pleasant experience!!
Great view, great food, nice atmosphere.
The location is wonderful and the service was great from the hostess to the server. The food however was a bit of a let down. For the price and reputation the surf and turf was merely mediocre.
The price is that "step up" from Red Lobster. It was pretty good - the server was right on with his explanation of the difference between snow and king crab. Portion sizes were good.
We had the sea bass. YUM! Jill was our server. Great person. Nice anniv.
Every time I go to Mitchell's Fish Market they trat you outstanding, service and food are perfect.
