Food was excellent. Server was professional, friendly, and attentive. Wonderful dining experience.
Server was great. The food was good but for the price I expected it to be great.
Excellent as always and great service.
Started with Crispy Calamari and Bacon wrapped BBQ Shrimp. Then it was the Crab Stuffed Flounder and the Grilled Sea Bass. Finished with Raspberry Sorbet. Every dish was OUTSTANDING. I am from Oakland CA and I know seafood. This was some of the best I have ever eaten. Went on Wednesday, will come back on Sunday and bring two more friends.
No one acknowledged us when we entered the restaurant for quite awhile. We stood at the front desk and waited while employees walked by and didn’t even make eye contact. Our entrees looked good but were barely warm. Not very impressed with this place, especially for the amount of money that it costs. Will not be returning, nor would I recommend to others.
Excellent as always. I normally do not care for chain restaurants, but that one is an exception.
Our whole experience was wonderful. Food, drinks and ambience. Great night!
Would have been nice to actually hold a paper menu instead of using our phones to look at the menu it took away from the experience.
Saturday at 7:30...out of Bloody Mary mix, out of artichoke dip, out of chicken parm. Wrong entree delivered & it was corrected. Manager apologized but no offer to compensate. Entrees were nothing special and steak was vey salty. Calamari and sticky shrimp were good. Overall not worth the price.
Food was excellent.
I had cedar planked salmon with smashed potatoes and asparagus. My friend had stuffed flounder and asparagus and potatoes as well. All lacked flavor and asparagus was over cooked. Although it wasn’t busy, our food was tepid. Our service was great, the food just ok.
I normally love this restaurant. I hope it was having an off night and this isn’t the normal now because service was the worst I’ve seen in quite a while. We had to wait 10 minutes for anyone to greet us and seat us at the hostess stand. Then it was another 45 minutes before our food came out. During the wait for the food, our server checked on us only once after bringing the bread basket. The food was excellent, but nobody offered to bring out lemon slices which they used to do in the least. The only part of the experience that was fast was the server bringing our checks and returning with our credit cards.
We had reservations. I was delayed and met my friends that had already been seated. I came in and I was not acknowledged and the person at the stand seemed to only be ringing take out orders and was not available to ask where I needed to go to find our table. I was left to walk through and find it myself
We were there 2 1/-2 hours total. The drink order took a half an hour, for 3 of us. The appetizer was well prepared, but cold by the time it arrived
We had been told that one entree I wanted was unavailable. I looked over the menu again and re ordered and the second entree I chose was also unavailable, so I just ordered another appetizer and salad, so we would quit wasting time
Mitchell’s is definitely not ready to reopen to in house dining
We wanted to sit outside as a party of 6 and they wouldn’t let us.
Our server was slow and I’m not sure if that’s because they are understaffed or because they had her working both outside and inside dining. She should only have been attending one area. We waited for a long time for refills, extra chips which they were stingy with and we also didn’t get to have the dessert we wanted because you were already out of two different dessert options at 6:30 pm!
The steak and shrimp special was remarkably good. Excellent service.
We were quickly seated, but it took over 10 minutes for someone to come to our table. The food was served within a reasonable time, but was cold. The fresh oysters were excellent.
Excellent food and excellent service! Nice ambiance!
The food was exceptionally prepared. There are a few non- seafood entrees but we all got seafood. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive. The entire experience was relaxing. I would recommend Mitchell’s to anyone
It was great
Nice place for date night. Over the years, it has become less formal, so it’s not the setting of say a Ruth Chris. Prices are pretty good, but not cheap. Good service, good ambience.
The food and service was very good. I wish they had more sides like baked potatoes, corn and green beans.
Started with the Spicy Crispy Shrimp appetizer, and it was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crisp and spice. My go to favorite, the Shanghai Seafood Sampler, did not disappoint. It's always just the right amount of deliciousness. But the key lime pie is incredible! If there is a better key lime pie to be had somewhere out there someone please let me know!
I have eaten here before the pandemic and it was a great place. I'm sure it'll take some time to get back to that. Unfortunately, there was only one cook and we waited 45 minutes to get our lunch. The fish and chips were ok; the shrimp was not "crispy," as described on the menu. There was only one waiter to serve several people at an off time for lunch.
Everything except my fish filet was lukewarm. The sautéed spinach wouldn’t even melt the butter that came with the bread.
We know these are difficult times for your Restaurant, however you are pricing yourself out of our business. Please find some way to reduce your prices. I'm a Landry Member. Thanks.
We love this patio setting and this evening didn't disappoint! Our server/service were amazing! My chicken parm was very tasty. My husband that his stuffed fish was very good but the potatoes were way too salty and not that great of flavor in general.
If you could possibly check the "smashed red-skinned" recipe, and maybe tweek it, that'd be greatly appreciated.
Great food and the customer service was great will be back for sure
I had grilled sea bass. It had no flavor except the salt that put on in the kitchen. Pretty expensive dinner. Disappointed.
The Manager, Jennifer was wonderful. She helped me set up a special night for my wife and daughter. They were also extremely helpful managing their food allergies. Wonderful service.
Ordered cup of clam chowder and it had no clams. I told the waiter and he said that mostly broth. I say that’s false. Should have issued me credit or asked if I wanted something else. Typical corporate store.
Overall really good food. Service was good, the only exception is the staff seemed short but my server was good just had a lot of tables. My salmon was excellent and the good overall. I would go back. Good experience.
We were seated but no one came to talk to us or take our order. Not enough staff. We left and ate ate Matini’s Italian Bistro beside it.
A fav for us traveling through Louisville!
They were out of Sea Bass which is what he and dad wanted but what we had was really good.
Just a get together
Service was terrible, food was cold, had to go ask for refills.
We normally have a nice dining experience at Mitchell’s. Unfortunately, for this trip, the service was extremely slow and our food took awhile to arrive.
Our family was disappointed in nearly all the cocktails we received. They were all missing certain components of their descriptions (or the measuring was off). Additionally, our service was not great - our waiter (and his trainee) weren’t very personable and it was often hard to understand him as he spoke very quietly.
Lovely, quiet dinner with my wife. Corner booth away from the bulk of the other patrons. Attentive service.
