A very nice dinner. We felt quite safe in the restaurant with good spacing between tables.
The ambience was great! We sat in the bar area. Very quaint and quiet. Took a little longer than normal to be greeted and ordered drinks. Ordered a beer and a glass of wine. My SO’s beer glass had lipstick on it 😮. Bread was brought out and was unusually sour for some reason. I ordered Calamari as my meal and my SO ordered fish and chips and we ordered an extra side of hush puppies. Food came out rather quickly. Fish was good, a little greasy. Calamari was very dry and rubbery, however the sauce was flavorful.. Hush puppies were amazing!! Overall we were very dissatisfied with our visit.
Great service / great food
We always enjoy Mitchell's. Our server was very helpful
The meal was delicious and I highly recommend the BBQ/Bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer.
The appetizer was excellent. The main dish was too salty. I notified the waiter and spoke with management. They offered to prepare another dish; however, that would mean that I couldn’t eat with my company. I ended up eating the mashed potatoes and asparagus and was charged the full price of the meal, $35. Unacceptable. I will never return.
Tadge was a great and kind server. Food was terrific.
It was a slow night and the restaurant was quiet and it was easy to talk . The waitress was attentive for the most part.
The Seafood specials had excellent taste but the service was slow and the server was not attentive.
Everything was great! Will say the wedge salad is a bit pricey but other wise enjoyed our dinner!
Great food and fast service. We played it smart and went the day before New Year's Eve. There were some diners but not a crowd. The food was outstanding as it has been every time we go there. Great place to dine.
Service was great as was the food. Staff wore masks and observed necessary protocols. It was a rare, but nice evening out for us to celebrate my birthday.
We enjoyed our wedding anniversary here. Always good. This visit was even better. The server was especially good, any the food was excellent.
Reserved a Christmas Dinner here. Unfortunately I don’t think they were prepared for an overwhelming amount of carry out orders that evening because our server announced they were out of Crab legs, wedge salad and a couple others things right off the bat which didn’t make the experience as enjoyable.
It wasn’t crowded in the dining area since they were 50% capacity with reservation but our server seemed anxious.
Tried getting a drink at the bar but was ignored too.
Next year will make dinner at home.
We were there for a Christmas dinner. In a private room with a beautiful fireplace setting. However another family came into the same room much louder. The food was acceptable but not over the top. I was a bit disappointed in the wait staff
They did a great job in making my family feel safe on Christmas Day with proper distancing. We had a lovely evening.
Every time we go to Mitchell's, both the food and service are excellent!
Four of us dined on Christmas night and we couldn't be more pleased with the service we received from our waiter James and the quality of the food.
The staff at Mitchells truly cares about the quality product their team presents to its patrons. An excellent dining experience is the norm here - they never disappoint.
Heidi was awesome ;)
We appreciate Mitchell’s service on Christmas Day. The food and service were excellent.
The oysters on the half shell were small and not very tasty.
We were able
To get the private room! We stayed for 3 hours, having salad until we finished with dessert! Amazing way to spend the evening with good food and friends!
Awesome food & service.
All good for night out
The restaurant had a foul smell that night. I’m guessing that there was a sewage backup. Never experienced that before at this restaurant. Usually all 5 stars, but not that night.
The service was great, the calamari starter was delicious, however the crab cakes and fried shrimp were a bit dry. Atmosphere was romantic
We order Calamari whenever a restaurant has it on their menu. I enjoyed the fact that the sauce here was not creamy as you don't need extra fat upon fat with the breading. It was a treat and also enjoyed the veggies served with it. There were only a few green beans and peppers but eating it all in one bite (calamari, a small piece of veg & the sauce) was very tasty!
My husband got the Cedar Planked Salmon and this dish was perfection. I definitely had order envy.
I got the Open Blue Cobia which I had never had before, but was excited to try. I told them to prepare it the way the Chef recommended. It came out grilled and slightly overcooked. Not sure if it was because I had the tail end piece or not, but I was disappointed with this dish. Not enough flavor in the seasonings, had to ask for salt and pepper but even then it lacked "something". My biggest beef and the reason for a 4 star on food is the vegetables served with the fish were not cooked through. I do not know anyone that likes hard green beans and broccoli. It's unfortunate because the carrots had great flavor but those were shredded and not many on the plate as the other uncooked veggies overpowered them.
Both our dishes came with smashed redskins which were great!
Never had a bad experience or food at Mitchell’s, and this lunch was no exception. Outdoor dining was comfortable with an overhead awning and heaters. All of our meals were fabulous, and our server was attentive and gracious. Five stars!!
Haven't been out to dinner with my spouse for a long time. This was perfect. It was socially distanced, so reasonably quiet for a restaurant. The service was excellent as was the food. We'll be back, thanks.
Worst meal I’ve ever paid for. Food was very bland. Not worth price AT ALL. Service was around only when asked for. Not sure how this place is open.
Flounder was seasoned well but too dry .
We try Mitchell's every couple of years. In the past we have come away with the feeling that the experience was not worth the price. This time was no different.
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday.
We ordered our food a good 30 min. before the people next to us. They were finished with their food before we even got our food.
We ordered the Chilean Sea bass. When we got our food and went to eat the first bite the fish was frozen!
How does fresh fish flown in daily cone to the table frozen?
To many other places in town with better food and service for the same money.
Always great food, excellent service, very well-run! The seafood is great, but they also have lots of other options for those who want steak, etc. The children's menu has lots of options. This is our restaurant of choice!
Maybe the most disgusting meal I’ve ever had. They messed up my mojito...twice. I gave up and ordered a sweet tea...which tasted like a dirty sock. Bacon wrapped BBQ shrimp was soggy and didn’t taste at all like BBQ. The sour dough bread was literally so sour it was inedible. I had the Caesar plank salmon which was very overwhelmingly acidic except for the mashed potatoes, which had no seasoning whatsoever. The waitress wasn’t knowledgeable and wore her mask down below her nose. First and last experience. I’ll never go back.
The patio was amazing. The food was great. The service was a bit slow. But it was very enjoyable.
Food was awesome but we had terrible service. We sat outside on a beautiful night
Dinner was good. They were able to accommodate our group of 8 during this pandemic time.
Prices have increased dramatically. We sat for 1.5 hours before being served while takeout orders took precedence. This has been one of my favorite restaurants in town. It was a vey disappointing experience.
