You cannot beat the Shang Hai Sea Bass !!! Spicy shrimp on appetizer side was delicious as well. Excellent Cosmo
Mitchell's Fish Market is one of our favorites. The raw oysters are wonderful and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Super great experience and the food was fantastic, we will most definitely be back.
Next time I hope they have some extra Crab Louie I can take home
overall I was disappointed in the food and service. I ordered one of the house specialties and it was warm and mediocre. We were never offered another drink or dessert.
Service was excellent and friendly. Food was prepared with care and tasted superb. Portions were very adequate.
From the moment we stepped through the door, we were made to feel as though we were the only guests in the restaurant. The service and food were top-notch, and we will definitely be back. Thanks so much for making our afternoon perfect!
We love this restaurant. We will definitely return!
Food was cold and undercooked Waiter didn’t offer specials. Had to ask.
Always great! Food is hot and well-seasoned. Staff/waiters are very attentive.
We were celebrating my daughter’s engagement. Had a wonderful evening!! Service and food is always outstanding.
I'm not sure we'll be in a rush to go back there again. The house salad was good and my wife enjoyed her millionaire margarita. My bloody Mary was lacking in alcohol. My stuffed cod with shrimp and lobster tasted good but why is it always served lukewarm??? Our waiter wasn't attentive enough for me to raise concern about this.
Excellent service and tasty food - just a bit pricey - for the total experience. Would recommend.
The service was great and they seated up immediately. Our waitress checked on us several times. The fish and chips and the shrimp and chips are the best in town.
Can't wait to visit again. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great all social distancing regulations were honored.
Great attention to safe procedures. Food prepared perfectly. Very accommodating for special requests.
Like many people, while I have been ordering a lot of takeout, I haven't dine out much over the past 13 months. I was so excited to take one of my best friends out for her birthday and picked one of my favorite restaurants. I made a reservation and even noted that it was a special occasion. I was beyond disappointed!!!! We both ordered a glass of rose with the fish and chips. It was after all, a special occasion. While the fish and hushpuppies were delicious, the slaw was mushy and the fries were cold and hard. The worst part was the service! If they had been busy, I could have forgive some of the really bad service, but they were staffed well. First the server told us there was not lunch menu, when we clearly found it online. He had zero personality and never acknowledged that it was a birthday; he never checked back to see how our food was; and he only refilled our waters at the end of the menu when he asked if we were finished. I asked for cocktail sauce when he brought the entrees and it never came. I finally gave up and went inside and found him bussing a table. Because dining out has become such a precious opportunity, both my friend and I are so disappointed. What was supposed to be a happy occasion, ended in a frustrating experience.
They were out of everything; No lobster, only enough mashed potatoes for one order, no salsa for the crabcakes, no asparagus. Only stayed because I had a 5 am flight the next day. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants they have really gone down hill. Hopefully they will get better after this pandemic.
Manager was an over-the-top mask enforcer! Almost made us laugh but she was rude as heck!
This was a party of 4. 3 had the Fish 'n Chips which was really good. I had blackened cod which was a bit overcooked. All-in-all, we had a good experience and a nice evening.
Both diviner's were poor ... sea bass was terrible ... never again
Good value over all.
very nice, helpful, courteous staff. clean, well lit and vey energetic atmosphere. My out of town guest will be back and he is hooked
Service was bad. Didn’t have silverware and napkins for half of the meal. We had to eat the appetizer with fingers and no napkins To clean hands. When the server came to our table he never really stopped walking. It was more of a fly by. He appeared extremely busy and too busy to speak to us.
Food good not great. Service average— not level expected
Slow with drinks, entree came as we started appetizers
Very slow with appetizers. Gentleman that seated us very personable— seemed attentive. Servers seemed over worked and ready to leave. Nothing terrible just nothing outstanding either.
Mitchell’s received 5 Stars across the board from me 6 times over this past Coronavirus year for outdoor and indoor lunches with two gal friends, but the first night my husband and I could go out to dinner in over a year (both received our 2 COVID shots), I was terribly disappointed with our Mitchell’s experience. We felt rushed and unappreciated. We were seated at our reservation time and waited almost 8 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us, and another 4 before we received water, silverware, and a single menu (we were told they had to be thrown away after our use and it was too expensive for each person to receive one; at my lunches, each lady received a menu). We ordered a bottle of wine, two appetizers, and our entries. The food came out very fast. Not even time to enjoy a half glass of the wine. My husband’s appetizer came at the same time as his entree and my appetizer was missing entirely. The server apologized and said he’d take it off our check, but it arrived halfway through my dinner anyway (did not eat it as I was already comfortably full). Plates were whisked off the table as soon as I put my utensils down, and our check quickly arrived. Because we had not yet finished our wine, the server immediately capped and wrapped the bottle for us to take home. From sit down to departure we were there less than 50 minutes! When my bill is way over the $100 mark even without spirits of any kind, I would have preferred to sit back, enjoy the rest of my wine, some conversation, and time to savor our special night out.. What a disappointing celebration!
Food was cold and way overpriced for the quality
Food was delicious, served promptly by an attentive waiter. The servings are ample and good value. Attractive surroundings for launch or dinner.
Food was tasty with healthy portions. Felt like an upgraded Red Lobster.
Fish and chips were incredible, and we loved the mini hushpuppies. 😊
Wonderful service by Chris our waiter. Food was really good. We always enjoy ourselves at Mitchell’s
Great food, atmosphere could use a little updating.
Seated promptly at my reservation time. Protocols for social distancing were followed. We had the lobster and shrimp stuffed cod which was excellent. Caesar salad is enough for two. Service was excellent. We enjoyed our evening
Did not meet expectations. My was okay, but it was not what I ordered, and waiter dropped it off and was gone before I could say anything. They forgot my daughter's side dish as well, but did bring it when asked. $100 for two dinners, an app, and a salad - no alcohol - is just too much for a medeocre experience. Will go with Bone Fish or Red Lobster instead.
the staff are superb and the food is excellent . this is a fine restaurant that exceeds expectations
We had a wonderful dining experience. Our server was attentive and the food was delicious.
Service was the pits! Waiter was OK but it took over an hour to get our entrees. At a time when time in a restaurant should be limited... We were told by 3 different people (2 waiters & a “manager type person” only 1 chef on Saturday during the day. Unacceptable !!! Food was excellent. we are frequent costumers & have tried hard to support our restaurants. We avoid crowds by dining outside dinner hours. Saturday’s experience was totally unacceptable!
As usual the food was good. Husband got a dish that he probably will not get again but that’s ok. Our waiter, Chris, was friendly and great. All in all a wonderful dinner. We even got to chat with Charlene the manager. She’s terrific!
Deducted to treat myself to dinner for 1 and it was absolutely amazing. Service and food were both excellent.
The staff will go beyond their duties to make customers satisfied and will explain menu, and drinks out this world inviting environment and just a overall great experience. I will recommend to family and friends
Excellent local management and servers. Food is consistent and great.
