Lobster Salad Roll
Awesome food & service.
All good for night out
The restaurant had a foul smell that night. I’m guessing that there was a sewage backup. Never experienced that before at this restaurant. Usually all 5 stars, but not that night.
The service was great, the calamari starter was delicious, however the crab cakes and fried shrimp were a bit dry. Atmosphere was romantic
We order Calamari whenever a restaurant has it on their menu. I enjoyed the fact that the sauce here was not creamy as you don't need extra fat upon fat with the breading. It was a treat and also enjoyed the veggies served with it. There were only a few green beans and peppers but eating it all in one bite (calamari, a small piece of veg & the sauce) was very tasty!
My husband got the Cedar Planked Salmon and this dish was perfection. I definitely had order envy.
I got the Open Blue Cobia which I had never had before, but was excited to try. I told them to prepare it the way the Chef recommended. It came out grilled and slightly overcooked. Not sure if it was because I had the tail end piece or not, but I was disappointed with this dish. Not enough flavor in the seasonings, had to ask for salt and pepper but even then it lacked "something". My biggest beef and the reason for a 4 star on food is the vegetables served with the fish were not cooked through. I do not know anyone that likes hard green beans and broccoli. It's unfortunate because the carrots had great flavor but those were shredded and not many on the plate as the other uncooked veggies overpowered them.
Both our dishes came with smashed redskins which were great!
Never had a bad experience or food at Mitchell’s, and this lunch was no exception. Outdoor dining was comfortable with an overhead awning and heaters. All of our meals were fabulous, and our server was attentive and gracious. Five stars!!
Haven't been out to dinner with my spouse for a long time. This was perfect. It was socially distanced, so reasonably quiet for a restaurant. The service was excellent as was the food. We'll be back, thanks.
Worst meal I’ve ever paid for. Food was very bland. Not worth price AT ALL. Service was around only when asked for. Not sure how this place is open.
Flounder was seasoned well but too dry .
We try Mitchell's every couple of years. In the past we have come away with the feeling that the experience was not worth the price. This time was no different.
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday.
We ordered our food a good 30 min. before the people next to us. They were finished with their food before we even got our food.
We ordered the Chilean Sea bass. When we got our food and went to eat the first bite the fish was frozen!
How does fresh fish flown in daily cone to the table frozen?
To many other places in town with better food and service for the same money.
Always great food, excellent service, very well-run! The seafood is great, but they also have lots of other options for those who want steak, etc. The children's menu has lots of options. This is our restaurant of choice!
Maybe the most disgusting meal I’ve ever had. They messed up my mojito...twice. I gave up and ordered a sweet tea...which tasted like a dirty sock. Bacon wrapped BBQ shrimp was soggy and didn’t taste at all like BBQ. The sour dough bread was literally so sour it was inedible. I had the Caesar plank salmon which was very overwhelmingly acidic except for the mashed potatoes, which had no seasoning whatsoever. The waitress wasn’t knowledgeable and wore her mask down below her nose. First and last experience. I’ll never go back.
The patio was amazing. The food was great. The service was a bit slow. But it was very enjoyable.
Food was awesome but we had terrible service. We sat outside on a beautiful night
Dinner was good. They were able to accommodate our group of 8 during this pandemic time.
Prices have increased dramatically. We sat for 1.5 hours before being served while takeout orders took precedence. This has been one of my favorite restaurants in town. It was a vey disappointing experience.
Came for the King Crab legs and 2 lobster tails. Each came with its own side of grilled asparagus and mashed red skin potatoes. Delicious! Crab was perfectly cooked and had amazing flavor. Lobster tails were also some of the best I’ve had in Louisville. Perfectly cooked, seasoned and were even better dipped in butter. Ordered Calamari as an app and while it was tasty, it was lacking in quantity for the price point. The alcoholic beverages; White Wine Sangria, Blackberry Margarita, Manga-jito and draft beer were satisfactory. It was my girlfriends birthday so we received $6 off of any dessert of our choosing which was cream brûlée. The dessert was unexpectedly delicious. While it was a small dish, the crispy top and rich bottom was an excellent way to end a meal. I would 10/10 recommended anybody who likes seafood or is willing to try high quality entrees for a good price.
We went in for my wife's birthday dinner with her parents. There were only a few people in the restaurant at 6:30 p.m on a Monday. Service was adequate, we had to flag our server down a few times, one being that the lobster bisque came out at about room temperature, so he had it reheated for us. Sourdough bread was delicious and we also ordered shrimp scampi pasta, stuffed cod and filet. The potatoes that accompanied the entrees were tasty and hearty. Asparagus is also a main accompaniment with entrees. The portions are not huge but if you're not splitting them, they are just enough for one person. There was an erroneous glass of wine on our check which I told the server to remove and add it to his cash tip we were leaving him. I'm not sure it was worth $113 plus a nice tip, compared with other restaurants. It's not a bad place to try once, but I think we will return to Martini's next door when in the area.
Quality food. Quality service. Highly recommend.
this is an excellent place to dine and unwind - a superb staff and exceptional food quality
Great meal - excellent service. One of the best seafood restaurants in town.
I had the calamari and the Wedge Salad, Calamari was not the best that i have ever had by far as far as taste and seasoning but it was prepared very well. Salad was about the same good but not great. Drinks we good. Service was good. Got in early for our reservation and was seated with no problem. The Service was by far the best part to the overall experience. would eat there again however to try something different.
Exceptional company to share my meal with and the food was very well prepared with our preferences. Except there were tomatoes on a salad that was requested without tomatoes.
Service was under par app was overpriced and salad was overpriced.salmon was good and so was clam chowder
Cheeseburger was awesome
We shared the salmon, scallops & shrimp sampler served over sticky rice & we exchanged the spinach for clam chowder. The 5 of us shared a bottle of wine .
Service was good & so was the food.
Good service. Boring food. The sampler I ordered was very plain and bland. The shrimp cocktail was great but then it was just a shrimp cocktail.
Waited over an hour for 2 burgers, tacos and wedge. Fries were cold. No manager ever came We have never had this experience dinning there
The food was amazing. Everything was delicious and our party had a variety. The service was absolutely awful
Slowwww kitchen and salmon was not well done
Excellent place, good food, professional managers, and nice service.
Patio dining was a popular option on a pleasant Sunday evening, and the portions of fish with the entrees were generous and predictably high quality. Based on three recent visits I will observe that it does take the kitchen a little bit more time to deliver the orders than pre-pandemic but my patience has been rewarded each time.
Mitchels is one of our favorites. Never disappoints!
Normally my experiences here have been excellent, this evening, not so much. Food was good overall but the Pacific Cobia I ordered was ok, a bit dry. I guess it's hard to get fresh seafood when you're inland, but I'm not sure why, UPS has their air hub there, I would think you could get fresh seafood flown in. My biggest concern was our server, he may have been new but he was not very engaging, had to ask for his name. He forgot a couple of requests we asked for. My reservation was for 8pm, it was not busy at all, just a couple of other guests, so it wasn't like he was very busy at all, may just have been an off night, not sure. Will try again down the road, hoping for a better experience next time.
Patio is a very nice option when weather permits, as there is no traffic noise in the interior-facing courtyard.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere wonderful. Chris, our waiter, was superb. Whenever we were close to finishing our beverage, he was there with another one. His service was timely and amazing. We would definitely return to this restaurant in the future.
Great service and delicious food. That’s one of our favorite places!!
Hubby birthday! Everything was perfect. Are waiter was awesome.
