We ordered lobster tails at $35. They were not cooked and the restaurant was out of lemons. The dish and side were lukewarm. At the price charged, we should have had hot food and a serving of sides that was adequate. Not a couple of forkfuls. Poor value for the money. We are frequent customers and were very disappointed.
Cold food. Kitchen was short on staff
Very nice. A birthday dinner. Server was outstanding.
Restaurant was not crowded and the service was fine. My clam chowder was great, hot and creamy. My scallops were fine but my veggie sides were cold, told the waitress but got no response did not know if she heard me and she was waiting on a table of ten so..... it will be awhile before I come back.
Service was nice but not always attentive
Drinks were over iced
I had the Seafood Cobb! It was outstanding! The other person had the Fish Taco’s and he said they were perfect!
The food is excellent, with a good array of seafood. An area for improvement would be service. Wait times are longer for this level of restaurant. We had to wait for bread and my water cup was empty three separate times. Maybe having servers watching for bread and drinks could be a start.
The ambience and food was good.
Food was great, but our server was extremely slow in getting us our drinks and checking in on us.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner with my husband. The food was delicious and our server was wonderful and very attentive. We will definitely be back soon!
Always dependable ! Good service and great food. We were treated with respect and regard upon entering as well
Hostess was fine,,,,server was great,,,,scallop dish was overcooked and sauce was too strong,,,,we will be back and order something else,,,
Waitress was preoccupied talking to other people. Food was average. Not a good value.
Great food! Maryland style crab cakes did not disappoint
Not satisfied with meal overall. Limp salad and bland seafood trio. Salmon almost raw. Service was pleasant.
Kind of an off night for a restaurant that we frequent. Service was a little slow, bread and my scallops were not cooked well. Was not the norm.
I think our server was distracted.
Been to this location many times in the past. Overall food quality and service has gone down over the years. We will never return to this location.
As always, the food was excellent and the service outstanding. There was a slight mix-up on a side order selection, but the manager was very accommodating in making it right. Would definitely recommend Mitchell's Fish Market.
We waited for nearly 25 minutes just to get water. Even though they gave us a ‘free’ appetizer the experience was not pleasant.
Great dinner. Our server, Cooper, was excellent and very attentive.
It was excellent in every way. Food was very good, service excellent even though they were out of the special salmon.
Atmosphere was conducive to having good conversation. Very good experience!
We have been going to Mitchell’s in Louisville ever since it opened in the Summit/Paddock.
Yesterday was the worse meal we have ever had there.
The cod and salmon was over grilled to the point it was burnt were the grill marks were tough and tasteless.
We will go back and hopefully we will get a better meal.
Chef must have quit or they had a new Chef.
Hope this gets corrected soon!
It was a very disappointing for sure!
Always a great choice-and if you didn’t know better you wouldn’t know Mitchell’s is a chain restaurant. Great value.
Food was great. Server was hospitable and wait time was perfect.
Everything great, except service not good. Too many people, not enough servers
The server was over tasked with tables. I went to the manager and explained the server was doing the best she could but needed help. The manager smiled and asked “what can I do?” I restated to give the server some help. It took an hour to get a glass of wine. It’s a nice restaurant but overpriced and not well managed.
Fish was not good. Over cooked sword fish thin as a pancake. Cod was not super fresh. Veggies, sides, wine and bread was good.
Waitress was very good! She was of great assistance.
Lunch visit. Very accommodating as we moved from inside reserved table to outside.
lobster mac pan seared trout was good but very small portions
sampler was not very well prepared---it was the saltiest dish I've ever tasted in my life, scallops were overcooked, dry and tough; shrimp were so overcooked they were impossible to peel and I ended up chewing on shells, salmon was OK. Way too pricey for Captain D's quality food.
My husband ordered a wedge salad with blue cheese on the side. It came with blue cheese on it so we asked for a new salad. The second salad wedge was half the size and the majority of it was yellow. Also no egg on it. So we asked the waiter for egg on the side and he informed us the restaurant was out of eggs.
When it came time to pay the waiter said we would not have to pay for the salad which was 9.00, but in the bill they only gave us a credit for 5.00. Not a great experience for my husband, even though my meal was satisfactory.
Everything was simply perfect!!! My husband's birthday and he loved it!!!
My grandchildren took me to Mtchell's. This is the first time I had been there since it opened. I was very pleased with the food. The service was just ok, but I think our server was doing the best she could do that night. The noise level is very high. I will come back.
Terrible service. Manager was made aware of problems and she was very rude. It took over 20 minutes to have unacceptable meal replaced. By then other diner was finished. They overcharged us on bill and manager was unapologetic for the problems. We left and went to a different restaurant. Yes, original problems were those of waitress but manager did not try to overcome problems. Never again!
Good evening. The personalized menu faltered the person of evening. The appetizers were a big hit. Entrees met expectations.
We did not have a great experience as both of us ended up with intestinal problems. We will Not be back any time soon.
No bread served
Had to ask for iced tea refill.
No ice in iced tea refill.
Service was mediocre.
Restaurant had very few customers.
Well, as much as I hate to leave bad reviews, our experience was horrible. We were seated for over 20 minutes before our waiter came to get our drink orders. We ordered our appetizer and our dinner at the same time and asked for bread. Then we waited another 30 minutes for our appetizer. No bread. The calamari was over cooked. I had ordered the basil grapefruit martini, the first one was good (really the only good thing about the whole experience) so I ordered a second one when they brought the appetizer. I shudder still to think about it, because I unfortunately did take a couple of sips of the second one (which tasted weird) before I noticed the pink lipstick print on the other side of my glass. I was ready to leave at this point. I sent the drink back and said I didn’t want another one. The waiter said he would take it off the bill. Well after being there for over an hour, our dinner finally arrived. I had fish (so dry and over cooked, it was the consistency of over cooked chicken) and my husband had stuffed lobster (which was rubbery) - our waiter barely came to check on us, we had to flag him down to ask for our bill. When it came, he had not taken the disgusting drink off, let alone any type of apology for our awful experience. When all was said and done, we were there for almost 2 hours and we were only able to leave when we did because I fortunately had enough cash in my purse to cover our bill and tip. I would have said something that day to management, but there was not a soul to be found at the front of the restaurant. We will never go back.
Eleanor was outstanding and the service was great!
Really enjoyed our waiter, he was young but helpful and professional. He helped make the experience enjoyable for the business meeting
