Celebration for 37th birthday with friends nice time
The food was decent. My shrimp and scallops were over cooked. Had good flavor besides being over cooked. I liked that a lot of the wait staff were wearing masks. I wish all were. No social distancing with their seating. Very close to the table next to you. Overall ok.
Salmon and salad ordered only had about half the salad portion. Had to ask for bread and water after being served main entree. They brought bread but no water. Asked manager for water, she brought one glass.
Made a last minute decision to get a resvo and got the last one for at least a three hour window. The food was great as always. The service was impeccable, as well! Turn down the music a bit or switch to something more beachy or low key. I didn't think the music fit the setting.
Loved my crab dinner!
The waitress and ambience was excellent!
Attentive service. Caesar salad was chilled, crisp and as it should be. The Shanghai-style Chilean Seabass, was swimming in a pool of “ponzu” sauce that became increasingly salty after the first bite & unfortunately, was so heavy handed that it completely soaked into the bed of sticky rice and surrounding sautéed spinach, on top of it. The fish itself, was shielded from the sauce, on top of the rice. It was cooked perfectly & tasted fresh, but the portion was very small, given the price. Just a drizzle, rather than a pool, of the sauce and a larger piece of fish on this dish would have made me want to come back to have it again. The best feature of the planked salmon dish what is this side of mashed potatoes with the skins on and the couple of lonely asparagus stalks on the plate. The fish was cooked nicely, not overdone, but the portion was disappointingly tiny, given the price. I found the sun-dried tomatoes & feta on top of the salmon to be an unappetizing combo, but I was not the one who ordered it.
The food and service were excellent This was our first visit and we were not disappointed,
Great environment, service, food, quantity & price.
Mitchell’s Fish Market in Livonia, MI is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is fresh and top quality, and prepared exactly how we requested. Our server was right on top of everything. Several of the staff came by to welcome us as well.
Had the Chilean Sea Bass, Shanghia style. My favorite at this restaurant. The fish was slightly overdone.
Food was great. Unfortunately it seemed liked the waiter was rushing us and a little distracted. Could have just been an off day as everyone has them but it did leave an impression.
Great experience with delicious food!
Took a date there, started out at the bar where the the girls were so helpful in suggesting items from their menu. Tried their suggestions and they were right. Everything was great including the atmosphere.
The food was delicious and our server was wonderful. The only negative was that the seating was way to close. It appeared (and felt) like we were shoe horned into the table. Not very covid conscious. I would have preferred them to manage the reservation times to allow for greater room during this flu season.
Was accused of one of my guest not paying their bill. Then they found that it WAS! Very embarrassing!
Restaurant was clean, staff very was very helpful and food was really good.
Sat at the bar again and bartenders were busy w drink orders from the restaurant servers . Everything was good otherwise .
The service was fair. The Calamari was inedible (it had the same texture as the menu).
We went for our anniversary and I was really craving seafood. Haven’t been in a few years so decided to give it another chance…but unfortunately was very disappointed. We ordered shrimp cocktail…the shrimp was flavorless and dry. We had just had shrimp cocktail at another restaurant and it was awesome, tasted fresh, and juicy. So needless to say it was disappointing. We ordered lobster tails for dinner. Again, it was over cooked and dry taking. The asparagus was flavorless. Best part
Was mashed potatoes but we had to add a lot of salt. So, overall not a worthy anniversary experience. I really wanted it to be good and I wish I could support the business. However, I don’t think we will ever go back.
Great meal with family to celebrate the New Year!
Bartenders were excellent!!! Had dinner at the bar . Lisa and I am sorry I didn’t get the other girls name. They were awesome !!!!
None at this time
Good food - good service
We always get great service and food at Mitchell's. We were the only ones there on New Year's Day. My aunt had the Sixty South Salmon lunch. I had a the house salad with grilled shrimp. We sat in the bar.
We used to dine there regularly before the pandemic and have started going again.
The staff is terrific. They are always kind to my aunt, who is 90 years old and tends to be forgetful. She's left her credit card there more than once, and they always hold it in a safe place.
Great spot. Reservations make it so much easier. Service and food are always excellent.
The restaurant was short staffed, but you would never know it. Savannah was our server and did a great job! Kudos!
Food was fantastic!
Service was ok, slow, it we kinda expected it in New Years . Our server really didn’t know the menu when asked about items. Stated “they spinkle stuff on top” . She offered items that were not available. Food was just ok.
It is actually not the best value for the $. The restaurant needs a strong cleaning. Table tops literally stuck to the silverware and napkins. Wrong cleaning products probably. Bar experience with female bartenders very good as were drinks. Waiter okay. Food good but at a premium should be better than it was.
New Years Eve
Oysters were fantastic, so was the lobster and sword fish
New Year’s Eve dinner. Food was very good. Salmon prepared as ordered. We did not feel rushed. We will return but sit in the bar area to take advantage of happy hour deals.
Always enjoy the food and services at Mitchell's.
Even though it was New Years Eve and it was busy we were well taken care of.
Our waiter was polite, could have been a bit more friendly & attentive. I would have rather had the waitress I noticed across from us that seemed so upbeat & warm quite honestly serving us. He did his job & was polite. Nothing much more. I've noticed since Covid you guys no longer offer bread I always have to ask for it. My guest arrived first and had been seated for 10 minutes or more & was never offered bread. Yes it's a small thing to qualm about but just something I've noticed since the whole Covid. Food was much better today versus our previous couple visits. I love their crab cakes! I've been loving their crab cakes as I used to get the filet mingon but since covid they no longer did the hollandaise sauce that was served with it. Not sure if they're making that now but do know they finally have the Shark Fin pie back!! Love that & their cheesecake is really good too!
Great food, great selection and good value. They want 50 characters so I will keep typing until I reach 50
Anniversary dinner. However we eat at Mitchell’s all the time. It is our favorite place by a mile.
Server seemed slow. And we did not think they were very busy. He was polite n friendly but think he had too many tables.
Patrick was our attentive, courteous, and friendly server. He made our dining
experience very pleasant. Our meals were delicious! I would recommend dining
at Mitchell's Fish Market to my family and friends.
Our server was super nice. The food was delicious. I would recommend coming in for an early dinner as the salad is much fresher! Other than that, we will definitely be coming back.
