First time on the patio -- we really enjoyed it. It feels isolated from traffic.
I always go there when it is a special occasion because I know I will never be disappointed. Food is always excellent as well as the service.
Lunch was great!—
Food was delicious! Jim, our server was excellent. Gave us our space but was very attentive and accommodating! Ask for Jim if you go !
I had the fish and chips. The fish was hot and crispy. The French fries were not!! The Cole slaw was slight in size. We go here ( prior to pandemic) at least 10 times a year. Twice since the “ reopening”. I miss the Ahi Tuna bowl and the more expanded menu.
Great fish tacos and salmon . The carrot cake is to die for! The happy hour menu has great deals, too!
This was our second visit since Covid dining restrictions have been lifted. The cedar plank salmon is sooo good! Only made better by the outstanding personal service Hannah provided.
They changed the kids Mac & Cheese due to COVID, and now offer a $0.95 box of Kraft for $8.00!
Sanitizer made table icky.
Calamari overcooked by chef.
Server was very pleasant and friendly but serving time was very slow. This has happened to us before so it’s likely not related to COVID.
My wife and I were celebrating my birthday on this occasion. The food is always great, but what made our evening a wonderful experience was our waitress DOLORES! She is truly in class by herself, Dolores welcomed us in a manner that made my wife and I feel that we knew her for a long time. She waited on us with exceptional skills and feeling, we can’t express enough how great Dolores made our evening. Please make sure she receives the recognition that she deserves!!! Thank You Peggy and Tom Rohe
Because of COVID 19, their beer supply was quite limited. They ran out of Miller Lite after 3 bottles were served. The restaurant followed all protocol for indoor dining, but it was basically empty.
Went to Mitchells to celebrate the end of radiation. food and service were excellent and we felt quite safe although we ate indoors.
Food was fast, delicious and fresh. Service was perfect.
We loved our meals and drinks! The patio was lovely and it felt so nice to enjoy a meal out with my husband after all these months. We will definitely be back!
We had excellent service and even better food! It’s always an easy choice to go to Mitchell’s!
My girlfriend and I had reservations for Mitchell’s, for which we were very excited for as it has been one of our favorite restaurants. When we walked in we were a little confused as to where to go to be seated for there wasn’t a hostess at the door. We proceeded towards the bar to ask one of the women there to help guide us, to which the one very rudely said they were not seating anyone at the bar even though we were not even trying to sit there. When we told her we had a reservation and were just confused as to where to go she continued to be rude and disrespectful. Not only was she rude but two other women nearby did so little as to even help show us where to go and instead simply ignored us. When we were finally seated we were nervous for how the rest of our experience would be but it was completely turned around with our waiter, I believe his name was Noah. He was so sweet and efficient, he truly made our dining experience what we remembered it to be. The food was also excellent so in all the experience was worth it. I understand it is a stressful time but to walk into a restaurant and immediately be greeted so horribly shows poorly on the establishment. I hope things become more organized on the front end in the future. As for the actual waiters, ours was amazing and I noticed the waiters serving those around us were just as incredible.
Horrible service! Manager was rude upon arrival, server was overwhelmed but he NEVER helped her or apologized to the tables. 30 minutes to get drinks, three of the drinks were the same but made completely different! Took 1.15 to get entrees. Tables were not cleared, put down next course with dirty dishes on the table still. Would never go back, bill over $400 for that kind of service NO THANK YOU! I work in hospitality so I FULLY understand the struggles of current situation but a simple I apologize from the manager would have gone a long way....we are trying to support your business’
Restaurant was very under staffed. Bar drinks took longer than 20-30 minutes. Side dishes came out cold. Waitress was at least friendly and apologetic. Manager never came to check on table.
Unfortunately, Mitchell’s hasn’t adapted to Covid dining well. A party of 3, took over 2 hours to dine. Initially were seated on time, greeted by staff but 45 minutes for drinks(only glasses of wine). We ordered all courses upon drink arrival, salads arrived timely and were well made and tasted great. Though an appetizer that was ordered never arrived. Entrees arrived after a long wait, but they all were cool and we had to wait 10 minutes for butter for lobster tail entrees. Ordered a second drink round when food arrived, they never came while eating- had to send them back because we were ready for our check. Though the food had great taste, the lack of being served until it was cool ruined the meal. It seems they didn’t have enough staff at bar, wait staff and back of the house. It was a birthday celebration that was not much to celebrate.
Had a nice dinner night with my sister!
Came here for restaurant week. Had a good array of choices to have a 3 course meal. Tossed salad with vinaigrette had delicious dates in it. Good portion of salmon served with sticky rice and stir fried vegetables. Their signature Key Lime pie dessert was so good!
Also had bread with meal. Service was outstanding and Co-Vid 19 regulations observed.
Great place for seafood.
We had a great meal for restaurant week!
Outstanding food quality. Menu was limited but overall choices were varied.
Birthday Lunch (outdoors amidst Covid)
Little disappointed this time. Our appetizer of choice was not available and one of our entrees had to be sent back and exchanged for another meal. My past experiences there have always been positive, so chalking this up to another 2020 disappointment.
Excellent service and nice patio area to dine outside.
Was wonderful food was great
We were seated socially distanced from other diners. From the appetizers to the salads to the main entree our meals were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and prepared to perfection. We brought our desserts home and enjoyed them later, again very good. We didn’t realize it was restaurant week so definitely got a great price for a 3 course seafood meal!
Great service. Great food! Everyone was super friendly and dinner was outstanding.
Mitchell’s is one of our top 3 restaurants in the area. Never a bad meal, ever.
service was slow. Not enough staff. Drinks came halfway thru the appetizer course. Long waits. Grilled fish was boring/dry.
We were seated at a table that was so wobbly we could flip it over. They couldn’t set drinks in it or it would flip. They didn’t get us another table but had us wait until others were finished eating to switch seats. Service was poor. We were never asked for second drinks and water was not replenished.
I thoroughly enjoy all my meals at Mitchell’s. The food is delicious, plated in a very pleasing manner. Quality and taste superb. I highly recommend Eating here.
Great service and great food.
Ordered from happy hour menu fish tacos and they were not very good. Fish was whole piece in taco wrap and not cut up.
The service was great, the food was mediocre at best.
I highly recommend Mitchell's Fish Market in the Galleria - the food is fantastic.
Unjustifiable longest and worst dining experience that we have had since restaurants began to reopen in June. Waited for 30 minutes after checking in with a reservation and still didn’t get seated in the requested area (meanwhile a couple who walked in 5 minutes after us got seated outside in that area)... We finally decided to just take the next available booth inside. Service took an hour and a half and we only had main courses (ordered as soon as the server arrived, five minutes after being seated... and we were halfway through finishing before the server came for the first-bite checks...) and one dessert that was ordered as the main course plates were being taken away. We sat for 20 minutes after finishing our meals before the server came to clear those plates, and then one slice of cheesecake took another 10-15 to be delivered. Had to ask a few times for a refill on both bread and waters. Got a martini spilled on my foot as I was taking care of the bill, and the bill took about 10 minutes of waiting for it to be returned to be signed. What could have and should have been a 45-min max dining ended up taking 2 hours from checking in through departure.
Very disappointing experience, and for quite a high price tag. (Food was REALLY good though!!)
Great for Happy Hour (4:00 - 6:30) drinks and apps. Nice and quiet outdoor patio seating. The Open Blue Cobia prepared on a cedar plank was excellent.
Lobster Tail Tuesday... done to perfection
As a regular customer the impact of Covid-19 was definitely felt at this visit. No bartender ; limited menu ; service quite slow; wine pours were underwhelming ; but still was charged full price
