Food and Service was Great!!
We came here last minute when our other plans fell through. It was nicely paced so we could have some drinks with dinner and make a date of it.
Our young waitress was very attentive and efficient. All of our requests were taken care of promptly.
The 4 to 6 PM light supper is great food with reasonable proportions and a good price.
We haven’t been here in awhile and we were pleasantly impressed. Will return soon
We were a Large party of ten. The food was Scrumptious & service Great!
Long wait for server to come back to our table, every step of the way. Food was decent but nothing outstanding, given the price.
Had to wait too long to receive food order. Food is over priced for the quantity of food received.
We've been coming here for Thanksgiving for about the last 4 years, and this was the least enjoyable. Don't get me wrong; it was still quite good, but not equal to previous years. This year, the turkey was somewhat dry and the pumpkin pie was not worth the effort. I feel that this meal was overpriced.
We ate here for Thanksgiving, and it was wonderful! Our server Lauren was attentive and kind! We have made coming here for our Thanksgiving meal a kind of tradition, and this year did not disappoint. We started with the calamari, which was delicious! I had the Trout, and my partner had the Fish and Chips...both meals were the best we ever had and the perfect portions! We'll be back next year!
Exceptional food & service!
No issue with the food or apps as they were timely and tasty. However, it took 45 minutes to receive our meal due to what was referred to by the manager as an issue involving the kitchen. lol the table around us were seated, ate, and left. Additionally our drinks were not refreshed at anytime while we were waiting, not were we kept in the loop about the issue. The manager bought our apps, but we left the restaurant very disappointed for what was a birthday celebration. Great food, but be prepared on the service and timing end for disappointment.
House salad lacked flavor but all else was good. Takes a long time to get a glass of wine.
The fish was slimy, although the flavor was good. the waiter didn’t know the menu and told me different sides than what arrived.
I always love the food at Mitchells but I must say the lobster tails were a bit overcooked and dry. I have had other fish there be over cooked as well so I hope it's not a trend. The soups and salads and appetizers are always excellent. The service is superb very experienced and professional servers.
Very nice experience. Food was very good and the service was top rate. The menu options were quite good as were the cocktail selections. Will return for sure.
The food quality has been going downhill for a good year. I ordered the scallops meal and pretty much laughed out loud when it was brought to me. 8 scallops the size of quarters, mushy spinach and a lump of white rice covered with so much flavoring it was inedible. All for something like $28.00 dollars. And my Landry points got screwed up. Not very happy.
Lauren was our server and was absolutely wonderful. It was my Mothers 90th birthday and everything was great! Thank you
Mitchell's is usually consistently good but the food this time was just fair. My crab cake was nothing but filling, very little crab and the shrimp were over cooked.
Food was excellent as usual and service was good
Great fish cooked in many styles, mine being Shanghai style. Great brunch, drinks.
Portions were small for price. It took a while to have the food served. Food was just ok.
We waited almost an hour for our food. The wait was excessively long for our dinner, which is not acceptable for a fine dining restaurant.
Our server was outstanding - personable, knowledgeable about food selections, and most accommodating to a large group celebrating a birthday. He gave special attention to my 94 year old mother and even photo-bombed her pictures! Excellent food and great service.
My wife and I have eaten here often and usually in the front bar area. This time we were escorted toward the back of the seating area and as we passed the kitchen area there was an overwhelming stench of what I can only describe as a back alley smell. You know from al of the garbage and the liquids that run in the alley emanating the trash bins. That what it smelled like. We decided right then to never eat here again.
We visited the Mitchell's Fish Market at the Galleria and really enjoyed our visit. Our food was quite delicious and the service was outstanding. I would be returning time and time again.
I meet friends about 6 times a year. Love the food but there are times that if you sit close to the fish cases you get an ammonia smell. Not appealing when you’re dining
Excellent service and the food most delicious! Yes, we would recommend it.
The Odor when I entered the restaurant was funky. My friends mentioned it immediately upon arrival. It was so bad I don’t plan to return.
Much better than the last time. We will be back.
Great food and service. Sea bass was delicious. Good desserts too.
We had a good meal with good service during our recent visit. Our server double-checked our order when we made it (a major hit with me) and everything came out just as we ordered.
I had the Tuna (Grilled with vegetables and smashed potatoes) and my dining partner had the Mitchell's Market Trio and we were both pleased. The Claim Chowder I had for an appetizer was good and the Seafood Gumbo my dining partner had was good, as well.
The restaurant was busy (we were there at 6:30 on a Friday night), but our reservation was ready when we got there and we were seated immediately.
For dessert, I opted for their Blueberry Bread Pudding and it was absolutely delicious -- I highly recommend it.
The restaurant was very busy by the time we ended our meal and it was a bit loud, but not too loud that we couldn't have a conversation at the table.
Overall, it was a good meal and we will return for sure.
Dinner with my wife, my brother and his wife, my niece and her husband and son was lovely.
Went for restaurant week. Our meals were ok but not outstanding. My husband had the seafood paella which really should have been see any seafood. The mussels were extremely tiny. I had the cod stuffed with shrimp and crab which was fresh and tasty. For dessert we had the creme brûlée with fresh fruit. It was good but definitely not the best we have ever had. Overall glad we tried Mitchell’s but we will not go back.
Not a lot to good choices to choose from and the food was just OK. Expected better.
Food could have been better
My husbands trout was over cooked and thus dry.
First time there! Loved it!
Out of two wines. Offered no substitutes. Rather noisy. Limited wine by the glass.
Great that this establishment could honor our table request, wrong that the large party that came in after our series of tables could not have been moved further away from ours in advance of that parties attendees arrival. Latecomers to the large party actual interrupted my family meal to get seating.
