Food was very good; service a little on the slow side.
Thanksgiving dinner was excellent —- BUT —- the front desk presented a weird experience. We arrived at our 6P open table reservation time — we were told “OK, we have you, but there are a number of people waiting here who are in front of you”????? I then asked if we can sit in the bar area — since there were approximately seven tables and booths open? She said, “sure you can sit in the bar, but no one may serve you, because he is due for a break”??? We sat in a bar table — eventually got a menu — it took about 15 minutes — the service then after was fine and the meal was excellent.
We had just arrived in Cincinnati to visit relatives fo the Thanksgiving weekend. We had been traveling all day and needed to get dinner. I looked up near by restaurants on Open Table and Mitchell's came up. We love good fin fish ( we don't eat shellfish), so we gave it a try. We had two different trout meals. So fresh and cooked to perfection! Love the nautical decor and quiet elegance. The service was exceptional. Will definitely put Mitchell's on our itinerary next time we are in Cincinnati.
Unfortunately, I think they've evolved into a rather mediocre chain restaurant. The food quality was mixed...pecan trout was good, grilled shrimp was overcooked and a bit "fishy-tasting." Service was OK and friendly but overall, I think there are better seafood restaurants from which to choose.
Our waiter was not very attentive. Had to ask for several things took a long time to come back and take our order after he had delivered drinks never offered us dessert but Instead dropped them checks off and had our meals mixed up with the other couple dining with us. Had to reissue checks. Was disappointed because we usually have a good experience.
We both enjoyed our salmon entrees
This restaurant needs to be refreshed. The menu is old an out of touch with trends. I would not go back. Too many other options near by. It was really good at one time. They have lost their way. I go to a restaurant for FOOD, trendy food as specials. Hey Chef, give me something exciting. Fresh and relevant. Please
Consistently great food with excellent service!
Nice restaurant. Got free dessert for our anniversary
Food was delicious; prepared exactly as we ordered. The waiter was very attentive.
Outstanding scallops, salmon and shrimp sampler. Cooked to perfection. Excellent service.
Far too much salt even though was requested to go easy on salt.
I was here for lunch with my mother aunt and grandmother. This was to celebrate my bday but of course the waitress didn’t care to inquire. Our food came out after 3 other tables, who put their order in after us. The food was cold. Thankfully we did not let this restaurant’s lack of service ruin our meal; we just did not order as much as we typically do for a Sunday lunch ($300). But I will likely never set foot in another Landry’s restaurant nor any place owned by this owner. Y’all don’t care about people, especially those of color.
Food was good although mix-up in our appetizer - but we ate it anyway! However, the music was obnoxious, not tuneful at all and too loud.
Great service. Delicious food. Loved watching the lobsters in the tank.
Good food. Good service. A little pricey for a lunch out.
Fun evening, great food, wonderful being able to talk to the three top Landry’s division/area managers during dinner. Really fine experience.
Shrimp special was amazing, again. Service was good until restaurant got busy. Most likely understaffing.
We went after the theater. The service and food was very good. The booth afforded us better ability to talk but the seats sunk down so far we could almost scrape the food off of our plates and into our mouths.
Our family really enjoyed the food, and exceptional service.
Place has gone way down hill, it’s a shame
We've been coming here for a couple of years now; very tasty food and great service. The staff even took out one of the live lobsters for my four year old, which was great. We had a good time.
Our meals at Mitchell's were very good and our server, Lisa, was excellent and fun.
Mitchell's is a family favorite. The seafood gumbo did not meet expectations.
530 on Thursday and poor service. Restaurant will not survive.
Mitchell's house salad is always great tasting and the dates make it special. Seafood and wine selection is outstanding.
Seems like food has gone down a bit. The spinach crab dip was dry and not creamy, the stuffed fish was odd. Waitress or kitchen got one order wrong so we were all almost finished when the final meal was served. They offered a free beer which was nice. Menu seemed smaller also.
Peel and eat shrimp has been missing for a while. so happy to see it back, this time in a shrimp boil special. brought friends with us who had not been in ages and they were very happy with their meals as well.
Food was very good. Server was great. Sunday night was quiet and that was fine with us since one person in the party has difficulty hearing in noisy restaurants.
The food was excellent this time, as was the service. We had a 5:30 reservation, so the place wasn't quite lively yet. My wife and I had our first date at a Mitchell's (different location) a few years ago, and typically go there on that anniversary. We decided to re-try this place on our wedding anniversary, as our last experience at this location found us leaving before the drinks were served due to the cleanliness. Not the case this time, all was fine. Food quality and menu still good after the sale to Landry by Cameron Mitchell.
Food was good, but my granddaughters children’s meal (burger) was dry and over cooked. Server was cordial & polite but was not very attentive. ( I think he had too many tables)?
Great, would recommend
Evening out at Mitchell's was what we have come to expect...very good food, service and an overall good time.
I had a wonderful birthday dinner! The pan seared scallops were delicious. Thank you so much.
Our server, Josh, was actually very good. He was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the wine choices. But that's where the happy thoughts end.
We went to Mitchell's to celebrate our anniversary - and stated so when we made the dinner reservation. Great restaurants LISTEN and make the visit special so that the customer wants to return. We did not even get a "Congratulations" from the hostess taking the reservations, so I am not sure why they even ask for special notes or special accommodations if they aren't going to read them.
I ordered the Dynamic Duo (shrimp stuffed lobster tail and bacon-wrapped shrimp) and my husband ordered the grilled salmon. While the portions were appropriate and would have been a good value, both entrees were overcooked and dry. We were not even asked if we wanted to see a desserts menu.
We most likely will not return, seeing there are so many other amazing restaurants in the area.
We ordered soup for our appetizers but, next time will stick with the shrimp and sticky rice. Our entree was the Alaskan King Crab Legs and they were delicious. They came with the red skin potatoes and I for one wish they had another potato side to choose from because I do not care for the skins in my potatoes. Over all, we enjoyed our meal but, I do have to mention that the booth seats need to be replaced. When we sat down, we sunk down until the table was at a high chest level. I guess it does help keep your shirt clean but, it would be more comfortable if it sat higher.
The food was delicious and our server was amazing!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!
Food was awful and the noise level was horrible. Couldn’t even have a conversation at our table. We couldn’t hear each other.
