Spicy crispy shrimp and ahi tuna appetizers were very tasty. Had the tuna and it was pan seared to perfection.
High end place with a diverse menu, good wine selection and great ambiance.

The only complaint I have about our experience at Mitchell’s was with the hostess. We arrived on time for our reservation and were told there would be a brief wait while the table was prepared. The entry was a little crowded, so most of our party stepped off to the side to be out of the traffic. My father, who stayed by the hostess stand, was asked after a few minutes of waiting if he had a reservation. He said yes, gave the name, and was informed that the party had already been seated. He glanced over to where we were all standing and told the hostess that we had not been seated. Another party ( of two) had been given our table (for four) and our reservation had been crossed off the list. If he had not been standing there, we would have been waiting a very long time! Then, when they tried to seat us, we were taken to the very back of the restaurant, only to find the one vacant table had not been cleaned. We were left to stand in the middle of the dining room while the host went back to find another table. Once we were finally seated in a wonderful cozy booth, everything was up to the quality that I have come to expect from Mitchell’s. I realize that it was Valentine’s Day, and probably busier than usual, but I felt that the situation could have been handled better and sincere apologies for the inconvenience would have helped as well.

Fantastic experience. Food was great, service was great. Our table was in a weird spot shoved in the back so not the greatest seat but with it being so busy, understandable.

I would give this restaurant and Average rating. Just ordinary. Slow taking drink orders and food order. Wedge salad was good when the table was cleared waitress took eating utensils, so when the main course did arrive we had nothing to eat with. Waited on the waitress to come around; 5 minutes later we asked for knives and forks. She brought my fiance and knife and fork; I got just a knife. 5 minutes later, I got my fork. The waitress had a hard time staying focused.
Service was slow and food was less than expected for the menu price

Awesome food that's well worth the cost. You can taste the freshness and you get a sense that the chef(s) truly care about what they're serving you. The atmosphere is always relaxing but you don't feel stuffy. It's a place where you can wine and dine but you're not afraid to laugh out loud!

Our waiter had a problem paying attention to us and serving us. One of my two lobster tails was delicious and the other was old and gross. The lobster mac and cheese was not good. The mixed drink selection and dessert selection were not good. The bussers for the tables just stood there staring at everyone.

Food and service were very good. We were there on a February winter night, very cold outside. Three days directly from us was an exit door. Do I need to say more. I almost froze every time someone exited the door. I think they should not use that door in very cold weather, use it as an emergency exit only. Just saying

I miss the Mitchell's of old. This was a busy, well run restaurant at one time. A destination for special occasions. The last probably 3 times I have been there the food and the service are just ok. This time, we were seated at a wobbly table, the restaurant was half empty at 6:30 on a Friday night. Looking around, I would guess that I am not the only one that feels the quality has slipped significantly. Food and service were ok, nothing remarkable and the bill was high for the lack of quality in these areas.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Had a 8:00 reservation and waited ten minutes for a table which was open the whole time we were waiting. Waited another fifteen minutes once seated to be acknowledged by our waiter. Once our waiter finally came to our table he said they were out of all the specials. He said they were a fresh fish restaurant and it happens. Last time I checked crem bule isn’t fresh fish. As we were walking out hostess who had sat us less than thirty minutes asked us how our dining experience was. Needless to say won’t be going back anytime soon.

We met with some friends to try "something different" and looked for a Devour Indy restaurant. I have only been to this restaurant for lunch and absolutely LOVED the Sea Bass entree. This recent visit had 3 choices for the Devour Indy . One choice was unavailable(the clams dish), or sold out (our reservation was for 7:00), we ordered the stuffed cod. It was very dry and overdone, although the veggies were excellent! Out of two dessert choices, one (Creme Brulee') was also unavailable. a substitute was (much to the servers dismay) was also unavailable. Although they did comp our bill for one entree, it was a disappointing experience.

Food was good. A fellow diner ordered the special that included salad, entree and dessert. Got the first two, but was told after the entree that the dessert was not available and no offer was made to substitute one of their other desserts. Overall, we have enjoyed Mitchell's in the past and will return, but felt the service was a bit off

Very happy couple! We were away for the night and this was recommended to us. We were very thankful. We made a online reservation but we were seated before that. Our server was so helpful with selections and what his favorites are. Our meal was delicious and well spaced out. Not overwhelming or rushed to get more people in. Spice Shrimp appetizer was incredible - by far my favorite. Also the scallops and butternut squash risotto was perfect! My husband loved his salmon and Gumbo. We were extremely full - no dessert, bu they looked good!

We arrived about 5 min before our time. We were seated right at our reservation time. It took about 3 min for server to say hello. We knew what we wanted so we just gave him our whole order without the typical wait between drink order and delivery. I ordered a Moscato. Once it came to the table it was pretty much room temp. To me Moscato should be really cold, I broke wine etiquette and put a piece of ice in my glass. The salad was delivered in a timely manor and gotta say the croutons on the salad may have been the best tasting part of our meal. It took an hour to get our main dish. I ordered the Holiday Surf and Turf. A 6oz Fillet Mignon and Lobster Tail served with smashed red skin potatoes, asparagus and hollandaise. My lobster tail was either frozen at one time or over cooked or both. The fillet was just barely warm. The asparagus was absolutely over cooked and I didn't get hollandaise. My husband ordered the 8oz fillet served with mashed redskin potatoes and asparagus. His steak was well well done not med well. His asparagus was cooked right and he had my hollandaise which was cold. Instead of complaining about the food we ate since we had already waited an hour. We went ahead with dessert. I ordered Banana Bread Pudding and husband ordered the Chocolate Bundt Cake. They were out of the Banana Bread Pudding so I changed to the Crème Brûlèe. The Bundt was dry and over cooked. The Crème Brûlèe was good but barely set. When paying our bill the manager ( assuming she was a manager ) brought us our credit card slip since we used Landry Select points on our meal. She asked how everything was. Typical I say everything was fine. But after a 2 hour meal I told her everything above. She used the excuse that they did have timing issues tonight and this was one of their busy nights of the year. Obviously someone didn't plan well. You don't give horrible service and food on a busy night, that is when you should shine.

The food is excellent, the waiter we had was a gem, there is plenty of space, we were seated at reservation time, adequate parking, you carry good white zinfindel, waiter answered all questions with ease and followed through on special request. Will we be back, certainly but can't make it a routine stop due to pricing testing our limits.

We go here often and have always been very happy. The food was very late arriving from the kitchen, the restaurant wasn't super crowded. We are not sure why this happened but the manager comped one of our meals. The food was delicious as always and the server tried his best with the situation. We will go back as this has never happened before and they handled it satisfactorily.

This is a difficult review. Overall I can't complain. There seems to be a clear management issue. We were there at 1:30 and not busy at all. We were seated at the time of our reservation. Here is where I think management is weak. We sat there for quite a while before our young man came to greet us. He was a nice young man. It's like the restaurant is operating in slow motion. Appetizer was good, but took way to long for what we got. We placed all of our order at once, which seems to upset many restaurants for some reason. We weren't in a hurry, but we could tell this was going to take a while. Let me say that the food we ate was very delicious and hot when served. I guess my suggestion is, speed things up some. I

We decided to eat here on Christmas Day. Walking in the sidewalks in front had not been salted and Myself and several others almost fell. Lots of older people having a difficult time with the ice. We were seated and ordered. Restaurant was out of salmon so I couldn't order the three course meal that I wanted or any other salmon. We then sat for an hour while people who came in well behind us were served their meals. Finally, we asked for our meals and they were brought out. Food was luke warm and although the manager did apologize for the wait, I think he should have offered us a desert for our wait and the fact that there was no salmon.
