Mitchell Harris is a restaurant and wine bar in the heart of Ballarat. Since 2008, we have been crafting elegant wines that reflect the cool-climate characteristics of our nearby regions. Housed in a 140-year-old former produce store, tentmakers, and motor workshop, our venue showcases our wines and the treasures of our region.

We pride ourselves on our focus on locally sourced ingredients, ensuring that our menu highlights the best of the area. While we have a strong passion for wine, we also offer a selection of gin, cocktails, and local and imported beers.

Yet again Mitchell Harris Wines was an excellent choice to catch up with friends on Saturday night. Tremendous wines, delicious share plate - we had the MH Ploughmans & first-class friendly service. Thank you.

The wine and service was great the chowder was very good but the medium rare eye fillet was medium and had been cut into 2 then cooked so was medium it was still tender but nt what described I would have rather waited longer for it to be done right the rest of the plate was great.

Food was fantastic, service was impeccable. We started with the pate, the brisket was 10/10 and finished with the apple crumble. Looking forward to going back again soon.

Really beautiful experience, our server was very friendly and helped us enjoy our date night even more. The food was awesome and wine was perfect!

Finding regional wine bars, with great food, staff, and coffee is not easy, and MH is one of them-we always enjoy lunch or dinner; wine is why I'm there, but there is beer too!

A pre-Easter family catch up. Awesome interactive and knowledgeable staff; menu to suit all pallets. Staff hovering to ensure drinks were full, plates were removed, questions could be answered. Desert awesome and a lovely story about the buildings history and the coming together of the family’s for the wine and restaurant. We are not residents of Ballarat but will recommend and return
