Waiter did not check on food quality after new dishes arrived to table
Clearing and replacing plates for each course lacking
Waiter removed plate and spilled sauce on table. We had to ask for towel to clean up
Loved the tapas and the service
Excellent setting, food and friendly servers.
We were there on a Friday evening so noise was expected; however, we were seated behind a bench-like partition that gave us some privacy and allowed for a romantic meal. Our server was great, friendly and on top of it. However, I was disappointed that we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation and arriving on time. Nevertheless, it did not ruin our evening or experience. We would definitely go back and highly recommend.
I really enjoyed the restaurant, the service was fantastic, it was an upscale but comforting experience. The food was fantastic and I would love to come back!
This was such a pleasant surprise. The whole menu looked delicious if you’re into Spanish Tapas. I could have ordered 80% of the items and been happy.
Fantastic tapas style food - incredible curation of cheeses and meats, wines and cocktails. Everything was extraordinary! I fell in love with the light-filled ambiance and elegant room. Beautiful all the way around.
Wonderful food and great service. Will definitely be back!
Hands down the best paella I have ever had! The food is spectacular and service was spot on! Thank you, Max (our sever) and Christa (General Manager) and all of the staff for a wonderful evening. Mita’s is a required stop when we are in Cincinnati!
Wonderful, unique gem in Cincinnati. The food is phenomenal.
We were in town from Chicago and had a fantastic meal at Mita's. Every single item we ordered was absolutely delicious. My husband is Puerto Rican and even he said the tostones were perfectly fried. The elotes salad was my favorite. Kobe beef skewers were yummy as were the sliders. Our waiter, Kane, was top notch and bus staff was also wonderful.
Most disappointing was the bar service. My $13 Manhattan was so diluted it tasted watery. Very poor. Another’s marguerita tasted like “it came from a mix.” Another disappointment was the waiter: seemed distracted. Some food very good, other food uninspired (empanada). All 3 decided we would not return.
Interesting tapas dishes beautifully presented, but a little too salty and very meat-centric. The ambiance is very nice and the noise level low enough to make conversation easy. Service was spotty even though we were there on a Wednesday.
Family night out
Food was amazing and service was phenomenal- until it got busy, then it took us 90 minutes to get our last plate and the bill. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in town and you have the time.
Cuisine is the real positive of this urban restaurant. We shared tapas, the best of which was a roasted octopus over a potato foam medley. Location is first floor, windowed, central Cincinnati -- somewhat modernized. Perhaps it is a bit pricey, but the creativity and quality of servings are worth it. Good, but not extensive wine menu.
This dinner was for several of our priority customers and they raved about their experience at Mita's. I will definitely be sending other guests there with pride. Thank you for sponsoring such an excellent dining option!
Excellent food and service. Interesting menu and helpful server.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our 14 month old granddaughter. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented.
Good cocktails. We sampled the sweet corn salad, ceviche & plantains, arepa, mango & jicama salad, empanadas, and the paella. Everything tasted great, the ceviche was exceptional, the 3 cheese sample was delicious, the 3 meat plate was ok. I don't care for the empanada crust. The paella was so salty, we explained to our server and he promptly removed that from our bill and confirmed the saltiness. Overall, it was a really good experience visit Mita's.
Excellent service. Food was outstanding, every course offering something new and different but excellent in taste and presentation.
Wonderful food well presented.
Excellent all round! Exceptional food...great drinks and fantastic service. Although they made us wait 30 mins past our reservation time before seating us, it was well worth it. Would definitely go back.
Love this place. Has some vegan and veggie options and really good quality food. Service is usually quick and helpful. A little pricey but worth it. This time around they sat us about 20 mins past our reservation and didn't offer a drink, desert, tapas plate or anything for waiting patiently, otherwise would have been 5 stars.
We had so much fun. We tasted different dishes, tried different cocktails and relaxed with fantastic service. One of my favorite dinners in a very long time
Very nice experience. Service staff was pleasant and attentive. Food quality was very good
A LOVELY experience! Everything was great, the service, the food, the atmosphere. Everything!
As always, Mita's was exceptional. Food, service, and ambiance couldn’t be better, from cocktails to last course. Chef Salazar is a true star.
Our second time here. As before - Great service ans Delicious food. Came here for the Cincinnati Burger Week special - which were the two sliders. Also had the ceviche del dia and the tacos dorados. This was plenty for my husband, our two year old, and myself. We will definitely be coming back for a third time.
I will say - everything sounds delicious on the menu. We may come back with a larger group so we can try more at once.
Great dinner - loved the vegan options!
Outstanding food and wine with great service. My favorite high end restaurant in Cincinnati.
Mita's is the kind of place you could eat at 3x a week and never get tired of it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, chic and modern, while being comfortable and well kept. We tried several dishes on the menu, some of my favorites were the elote salad, spanish octopus, papas bravas, and cuban sandwich. The shining star though, was the tres leches cake. I'm not a super sweets person, and typically don't order dessert... BUT WOW did this truly make the meal. After a carousel of incredibly well crafted (and well timed out of the kitchen) savory dishes, the tres leches cake was the perfect way to end the evening. Our server, Brooke, was knowledgable, attentive, and had a way of gliding through the restaurant from table to table to kitchen to table with a sense of control and confidence you only find in service staff who truly love their restaurant and want the guests to have a stellar experience. Incredible.
We ordered the most expensive dish the paella and we were a little disappointed because the dish was really salty.
As in previous visits the food was on the whole very good but stopped short of great. The white sangria, was however, great. :)
Empanadas and arepas were just OK. Shrimp very good.Pozole tasted different than on my last visit, but it has been a while so perhaps the recipe has been changed. I did enjoy it but I don’t remember it as being so thick. Server went out of his way for us. Did love the tostones and ceviche. Overall very nice evening.
Service and food were outstanding! I can’t name one bad dish I had, and our server was so attentive and had amazing wine knowledge. I’ll be back!
One of the better meals I've had in a while. We had a fairly large group but the space is large and we did not feel cramped. The tapas menu is great for a large group of friends as we all got to try many different items. The next day, everyone was raving about the Mita's.
I was staying at a nearby hotel, walked by and noticed the James Beard nominations showing in the window. Decided to go for dinner and was not disappointed! Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Great, attentive service. Love the tapas style plating. Ordered 4 options for 2 of us to share. If I'm ever back in Cincinnati I'll be sure to stop here again.
The food was excellent as usual. The service was great until the end of our meal when our waitress had two other large parties with no one to help her.
The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The short rib empanada was outstanding, as was the salad with the salad with harissa roasted carrots and pickled rhubarb. The truth was that we enjoyed everything that we ate. The staff was attentive and helpful but not obtrusive.
