Just a beautiful experience here! Food was amazing !
I just love Mita's....the food and service are spot on everytime. I love the bar/cocktails. One of my favorite tequila drinks of all time on the menu. The wine recommendation was fantastic!
Good food, great variety that comes, "Tapas style." Wine list was also great, we had an outstanding Petit Verdot.
Maybe I'm getting old, but I was turned off by the loud pop music as we entered the restaurant. We had reservations and asked for a booth. The hostess told us that the booths were reserved for the evening. We ordered a bottle of wine and started to look at the menu. The selection of plates was somewhat limited .We were not served any bread. Turns out an order of bread and olive oil costs $11.00...Really? We started with the shrimp ceviche. It was fresh, but bland. I couldn't taste the avocado nor the cilantro. The next plate was our favorite of the evening - the octopus with fingerlings - it was really tasty. The following two plates were meats - perhaps that was our mistake. Both of the plates - cornmeal cake with pork sausage and Tacos de Bistec - were very salty, and tasted mainly like chorizo. We spent $136.10 on a bottle of wine and the four plates. It wasn't worth it. We were there on a Saturday evening - the restaurant was less than 1/3 full. Many of the staff just seemed to be standing around. There were several empty booths when we left. I don't think this place is going to survive long term.
Mita's was a wonderful dining experience. The tapas menu with Spanish/South American cuisine is really well executed. The ambiance and decor felt very much like a quiet Mediterranean cafe. Our server was very helpful in navigating the exotic menu. Our favorite dish was the octopus; the texture felt more like sausage than octopus and was absolutely delicious served in a creamy sauce with fingerling potatoes and spices. All the dishes we had were very delicious; I did think that the tacos de bistec could have used some brighter flavors and tasted a little plain in comparison to the other dishes, but otherwise the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend trying.
Everyone was very gracious, from the greeters, to the waiters and servers. Very accommodating of my food allergies. Everything was fresh and flavorful! Ambiance is great! Had a great time with friends, and the food reminded me of my visit to Spain!
We had an spectacular time while at Mita’s. We ordered many tapas, our server guided us to quantities and options. The food was fantastic. The service was exceptional. All the tapas are great, we recommend the ceviche, the beef tacos, the guacamole and plantains, the empanadas!
The best tasting food I have ever eaten! Every bite was an emotional experience. Wonderful!
The seafood stew and the root vegetable salad were my favorites, but everything was wonderful. We will back soon.
Absolutely delicious. All of it.
Had a fabulous night at Mita's. The food was excellent. We were very happy with everything we tried from the Tapas menu. It's such a fun experience to try new food on small plates as there is little downside if you don't like it (there's more coming)! Server was very helpful and ensured we didn't order too much. Drinks were unusually enough to be interesting. Didn't order desert. Thanks for a great experience Mita's!
The server, Kane, was wonderful. He wanted us to take our time and never pressured us to hurry up or to buy anything.
Each of their tapas we ordered were phenomenal. Honestly gave Sotto a run for its money when it comes to dining experience.
First rate, as usual. Had an array of delicious tapas, wine, and dessert. They even brought champagne for our anniversary!
Prices are reasonable for what you’re getting. Highly recommended!
One has to consider Mita's within the context of the unusual aspect of the menu by Cincinnati standards. Many of the dishes are unique or rare in our little foodie town. We have never had a bad dish at Mita's. Most of the smaller dishes are excellent and, using the best judgment criteria for me, one's that I would order again. The four of us had maybe eight dishes and several different cocktails, all but one of which we would all order again. Even that one, a beef taco was good, just not as special as I had hoped. I highly recommend Mita's. We have eaten there at least a half dozen times and will continue to do so.
Excellent food, Great service! Must visit if you're in town
Great service and food to match. Our server also selected the order our dishes came out which really improved the culinary experience.
Best meal possibly ever! Tables are a little close together. Waitress was pretentious.
Definitely worth the visit. Everything was fantastic from drinks to dinner to dessert.
Had a wonderful girls night at Mita's! Love the food, staff and ambiance.
Great as always!!!
I was at Mita’s twice in a week and was disappointed by the cocktail. Each time I ordered the tequila jalapeño cocktail, which was lukewarm and not hot at all!
I remember them being fantastic several years ago.
Overall nice experience food..... Interesting that I wanted to have my drink without the big block of ice and with crushed ice....the server was a bit argumentative and quoted that there is research to show that this ice cube is better! I don't need research analysis regarding my drink....I want what I want because I enjoy it....save the research for someone else.......Also, we had ordered a second drink but then they brought the dessert menu....I requested could they cancel the second drink order because I was more interested in a dessert drink......and they were unwilling to do that......apparently the order was already "entered"......I have not noticed such inflexibility over a $ 12 drink........or someone trying to prove me some research....uncalled for......
We arrived 20 mins early for our reservation. The hostesses were very welcoming and said it would be a few minutes still before our table was ready. We snagged two seats at the bar with one minute to spare before the Happy Hour deals expired, and the friendly/attentive bar tender told us he'd still honor the HH prices and to take our time ordering. We ordered the first round and the hostess had us seated before our scheduled time. We started with a cheese selection, which was delicious. Out of the rest of our dishes, two were so salty, I found them nearly inedible (the chicken skewers and beet/lentil salad) and the others were quite tasty but also very salty (the sweet potato tacos and ricotta/squash/chorizo toast). Our cocktails were very good (margarita and nonino nino). Our server was affable but a little slow to ask our order on the second round of drinks. All in all, the ambiance and service was great but the salty food was an unwelcome surprise given the reviews and reputation.
Very neat Spanish experience! We tried the pinchos, cheese appetizer, empanadas, and sliders. They all tasted wonderful as well as the wine that we paired it with. Muchas gracias. 😀
The food was good and the waiter was very efficient. The manager came over and asked how we were doing. She needed to introduce herself and so that we were assured who she was. The atmosphere was very nice.
As usual a great experience. Food was great! Service was a little slow but didn't detract from the evening.
Diego was phenomenal. The food was exquisite and the story Diego led with tee’d us up for a great experience. Thank you, Mita’s!
Went for our anniversary. Awesome food and drinks. Maybe a little short staffed - our server seemed to have a lot going on. Will be back for sure!
Excellent service food and wine. Overall wonderful
Food was outstanding and the service was great with wonderful recommendations. The wine is a bit pricy but other than that, it was a good value
Went with another couple to celebrate a few Birthdays. We knew the place and our buddies were first timers, so they made me do the ordering. Had several small plates including the cheese and meat samplers, the Pulpo, the Jalea de Mariscos (a favorite of all), the Empanadas, the Tacos de Bistec, and then topping off the feast with the Paella Valenciana. Finished with some sorbet and a piece of the Tres Leches cake. A couple bottles of wine to wash it all down. We all had a great time and really enjoyed the tasting concept. Fun and delicious.
We have been to Spain several times, we have an exchange student from Madrid with us for the year and we wanted to give him a taste of home. Unfortunately we had never been to Mita’s and went based on other reviews. The Paella is small with way too little rice and way too much mediocre mussels and clams. The cheese plate was good but very small. The olive dish was warm which was odd. The batatas bravas were not authentic to Spain. Mita’s is okay for Tapas with a drink, not for dinner. The Paella is way overpriced. Too many other good restaurants in Cincinnati, we probably won’t go back...
A pleasure as always. Ray was great, serves us ever time.
Waiter had to be reminded of orders and we only got one water refilll
Amazing all around! Would go back and get the exact same slate.
Our waiter/waitress was very helpful and gave good recommendations. She put our selections in a wonderful sequence and the plates were ample and well spaced out over the evening. The food was very well prepared and all of the different flavors and textures were excellent together and complementary.
Food and ambience was fantastic and staff very friendly, our server seemed to be a little overwhelmed though and kept forgetting things
As always delectable food, exciting ambiance and perfect drinks with attentive service. An overall unbeatable dining experience..
Excellent tasty small plates that were very filling. Attentive and charming service. A Must Eat location Downtown!
