Took care of me exceptionally well for my anniversary. Wonderful guest service and good food. Will go again!
This is one of the best restaurant's for Tapas in Cincinnati. Our waiter suggested 3 dishes for us and he was spot on with his selections: Pulpo (Octopus), Tacos (Beef) and Guacamole with fried plantains. The preparations were amazing, with rich deep flavors. We ordered 6 plates total and left satiated, but not overly stuffed. I will definitely be returning to Mitas.
Everything was awesome! From our wait staff, each tapa to our wine, there was nothing we didn’t like. To top it off at the end of our meal we ordered espresso martinis which were by far the best ones we have ever had!! Will be back for more without a doubt
Delicious. Excellent service. Excellent wine list. Great happy hour.
Excellent service from Catherine. Knew the menu and specials, offered suggestions, very attentive without hovering.
Food was excellent, some interesting combinations of flavors that worked!
Space itself was a little loud but could easily carry on a conversation.
Next time will probably space out our orders - dishes came out a bit faster than we were ready for them. Did not feel rushed, though.
My wife’s Birthday and we enjoy Tapas.
We sampled 13 dishes from seafood to tacos to salads, Jamon, cheese and all were excellent. Lentil/beet salad was a favorite but ceviche had complex ginger/lime flavors and even the patatas took a mundane ingredient and made it flavorful. We had terrific wines but only because I was able to pick them and knew the producers. They were typical export Spanish wines but served at the proper temperature and in the proper way (even Txakoli poured from the spout decanter!) Wine knowledge from waitstaff was not brilliant. Unfortunately after spending over $400 they choose not to validate the $10 garage parking ticket. Absolutely amazing - more than you pay to park under Washington Park, garage empty and no thought for diners to use the facility at no cost. Jose, please re-think that!
Celebrated my birthday and highly recommend the Pastel de Tres Leches and Horchata ice cream!
Great food, not as great service. Not bad service, just not what I would have expected. Hostess didn’t know what to do with Jackets. Waiter took 10 minutes to come to table first time.
Service was great, food was delicious, we had a wonderful experience
My family wanted to get together for a nice holiday celebration with no kids and this was the perfect place for it! Everyone got to try a little bit of everything and the drink selection was excellent.
Delicious, beautiful food, unusual for our region. Meticulous service and passionate, well-informed staff. Gorgeous space with elegant details and wonderful light.
The place is wonderful and beautiful, very good atmosphere. The food was exquisite. All meals are in small portions and for us it was perfect. The taste was spectacular from the first bite to the last. Desserts and drinks are delicious. We will definitely go back.
Not one of the best Salazar restaurants in the City would not recommend over Salazar and Goose and Elder.
It was New Years Eve and fairly busy, but they had plenty of help. The service by our server was just so-so. Food is always excellent and we love the restaurant itself, but service could have been better.
Phenomenal Experience! I have tried almost every fine dining restaurant in Cincy and would certainly include Mita's in my top 5.
We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Mita’s. It was our first time eating here. We were not too familiar with their menu, so our server Mexico guided us through the various tapas options. We had decided to share the paella and also selected a cheese board starter and then their mushroom soup. Everything we had was superb. Dessert of the dark chocolate tort was wonderful
Mita's is an excellent choice for a casual business or family dinner among people who like Spanish tapas style food. Ambience and service were the strong points. Converting a downtown store front into a chic, personable and Moorish-influenced eatery was done with flare and functionality. Midweek, the noise level was moderate and just right. Food and wine were good, with some excellent touches, but you have to pay dearly for some items that are no great culinary challenge.
My wife said I made the perfect choice to come there for our anniversary.
Really delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere!!! Great space for larger parties. Our waiter was nice but forgot drink orders more than once. He also couldn't answer some of our questions about the food, which is why I rated service at a 4. Would go back!
Great unique dining experience.
Christmas gift for the family
Outstanding!!! You must experience sharing!!!!
Just a beautiful experience here! Food was amazing !
I just love Mita's....the food and service are spot on everytime. I love the bar/cocktails. One of my favorite tequila drinks of all time on the menu. The wine recommendation was fantastic!
Good food, great variety that comes, "Tapas style." Wine list was also great, we had an outstanding Petit Verdot.
Maybe I'm getting old, but I was turned off by the loud pop music as we entered the restaurant. We had reservations and asked for a booth. The hostess told us that the booths were reserved for the evening. We ordered a bottle of wine and started to look at the menu. The selection of plates was somewhat limited .We were not served any bread. Turns out an order of bread and olive oil costs $11.00...Really? We started with the shrimp ceviche. It was fresh, but bland. I couldn't taste the avocado nor the cilantro. The next plate was our favorite of the evening - the octopus with fingerlings - it was really tasty. The following two plates were meats - perhaps that was our mistake. Both of the plates - cornmeal cake with pork sausage and Tacos de Bistec - were very salty, and tasted mainly like chorizo. We spent $136.10 on a bottle of wine and the four plates. It wasn't worth it. We were there on a Saturday evening - the restaurant was less than 1/3 full. Many of the staff just seemed to be standing around. There were several empty booths when we left. I don't think this place is going to survive long term.
Mita's was a wonderful dining experience. The tapas menu with Spanish/South American cuisine is really well executed. The ambiance and decor felt very much like a quiet Mediterranean cafe. Our server was very helpful in navigating the exotic menu. Our favorite dish was the octopus; the texture felt more like sausage than octopus and was absolutely delicious served in a creamy sauce with fingerling potatoes and spices. All the dishes we had were very delicious; I did think that the tacos de bistec could have used some brighter flavors and tasted a little plain in comparison to the other dishes, but otherwise the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend trying.
Everyone was very gracious, from the greeters, to the waiters and servers. Very accommodating of my food allergies. Everything was fresh and flavorful! Ambiance is great! Had a great time with friends, and the food reminded me of my visit to Spain!
We had an spectacular time while at Mita’s. We ordered many tapas, our server guided us to quantities and options. The food was fantastic. The service was exceptional. All the tapas are great, we recommend the ceviche, the beef tacos, the guacamole and plantains, the empanadas!
The best tasting food I have ever eaten! Every bite was an emotional experience. Wonderful!
The seafood stew and the root vegetable salad were my favorites, but everything was wonderful. We will back soon.
Absolutely delicious. All of it.
Had a fabulous night at Mita's. The food was excellent. We were very happy with everything we tried from the Tapas menu. It's such a fun experience to try new food on small plates as there is little downside if you don't like it (there's more coming)! Server was very helpful and ensured we didn't order too much. Drinks were unusually enough to be interesting. Didn't order desert. Thanks for a great experience Mita's!
The server, Kane, was wonderful. He wanted us to take our time and never pressured us to hurry up or to buy anything.
Each of their tapas we ordered were phenomenal. Honestly gave Sotto a run for its money when it comes to dining experience.
First rate, as usual. Had an array of delicious tapas, wine, and dessert. They even brought champagne for our anniversary!
Prices are reasonable for what you’re getting. Highly recommended!
One has to consider Mita's within the context of the unusual aspect of the menu by Cincinnati standards. Many of the dishes are unique or rare in our little foodie town. We have never had a bad dish at Mita's. Most of the smaller dishes are excellent and, using the best judgment criteria for me, one's that I would order again. The four of us had maybe eight dishes and several different cocktails, all but one of which we would all order again. Even that one, a beef taco was good, just not as special as I had hoped. I highly recommend Mita's. We have eaten there at least a half dozen times and will continue to do so.
Excellent food, Great service! Must visit if you're in town
