Mita's, el 2º restaurante del aclamado chef José Salazar, lleva el nombre de su abuela colombiana, su "Mita". Este bonito restaurante, con capacidad para 130 comensales, ha sido diseñado por la firma MSA Architects. Se encuentra en el corazón del centro de Cincinnati, en la esquina de las calles Race y la 5ª, en la planta baja del edificio 84.51. El ambiente presenta una combinación de arquitectura limpia y moderna con inmensos ventanales de 7,6 metros, azulejos árabes coloridos, suelos de madera reciclada y tejidos acogedores. El menú ecléctico del Mita's, inspirado en el estilo rural, se basa en recetas y bebidas tradicionales y modernas de España y América Latina, e incluye tapas, ceviches, jamones curados, quesos y platillos grandes. La carta de vinos ofrece sabores de España y el Viejo Mundo. Hay una amplia variedad de botellas para elegir, entre las que se pueden degustar grandes marcas de vino, como Jorge Ordóñez, además de productos de bodegueros y viticultores más pequeños.

Erica was our server, and she was great. It was our first visit, so she patiently answered our questions and made suggestions based on our food preferences. Every dish was wonderful. Definitely will return!!

We had a sixteenth birthday celebration for my son, who has recently had to embark on a gluten free journey that has made eating out HARD. Not at Mita’s. They staff and selection of food were genuinely fantastic. We tried all of the dishes (not literally, but it felt like it) and each was better than the last. We love this style of dining. Sharing and dishes just flowing out of the kitchen. Truly an experience we won’t forget.

Wow, what a great experience. The staff was so friendly and experienced with the menu. The dishes came out beautifully and tasted amazing. I love trying new things so the octopus wa fun to try and the plantains were recommended by a friend and paired with the guacamole was also amazing!

Mita is a spanish tapas place. I was expecting it to be very flavorful and have unique things. I ended the meal thinking it was just okay. when i got there, i was sat and i waited a good 15 minutes before being served. the server was not at fault. she was running around a lot. not sure if its a short staff issue. she made good recommendations. she was honest with what tasted good or bad. the drinks were unique too. i liked that they have mocktails which i could add alcohol too. with that said, i noted the pisco drink was not good. it was bitter. This was a theme with a lot of the food actually too. I had a salad which had too many peppers and just was extremely bitter. the patatas bravas were good but they were too dry. the burgers were juice but they were heavy. there was oil spilling out with each bite. the pan tomato was probably the best dish imo. dessert was the best part. the tres leches was done right. i wish there was a bit more milk in the dish though the top of the cake was dry. has me suspect that it was preplated and prepared in advance. overall i think i rate it just okay not worth the price tag.

It is lots of fun to share a variety of tapas. We always get the tostones y guacamole. The ceviche and hand pies are authentic. And the dessert options are yummy

We had a fabulous meal at Mita’s. We ordered the Tacos de lengua and the Chuletes de puerco iberico and both were outstanding. Service was wonderful as always. We will be back soon!

We are no strangers to well prepared food, but every one of the dishes we ordered was the best thing we’ve had anywhere in a while. Shrimp ceviche, Hamburguesa sliders, and red pepper stuffed with goat cheese. Each memorable for all the right reasons. Already looking forward to returning!

Made reservation at the last minute - visiting from out of town. Excellent responsive knowledgeable service. The menu is extensive provides excellent choices across the spectrum of foods. Excellent all-around highly recommend.
