Mita's was outstanding! Jose and his team continue to do a phenomenal job. The food and service was incredible!
This place is always a good idea! Delicious food, amazing service, beautiful restaurant! One of my favorites restaurants in town.
We went to Mita's for a date night. We started with shishito peppers and fried plantains with guacamole, and ordered 4 "protein" dishes: shrimp ceviche, calamari tacos, short rib empanadas and chicken taquitos. Everything was delicious but the guacamole and calamari tacos stood out to us the most, honestly I'd put that guac on everything given the option. I would have preferred the shishito peppers to be a little more crispy, but they still had a nice flavor. We also had a couple of cocktails, our favorites were the Avispero (gin based) and the Nonino nino (rye whiskey based.) Our server Mitchell (?!) was new and did a great job answering questions as well as coursing us out appropriately. The atmosphere was nice and open, definitely gave off more of a cosmopolitan vibe that I would have anticipated for Cincinnati. We'll definitely be going back another time to try the rest of the menu!
My first time dining at Mita's and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends. The food was amazing. Portions sizes were perfect for sharing. Duffy our server was very helpful and quite pleasant as well. I loved the atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
Highly recommend checking this space out! The service was great. The cocktail list was diverse and affordable for downtown. We loved everything we ate. Favorites were the arepa (corn cake) and the chocolate tart with almond crust. We will definitely be back :)
We visited during Restaurant Week and were a party of four. We tried every item on the pris fix menu and everything was delicious. We loved the mix of flavors and textures, such a fun treat! Our server was very helpful and attentive. We loved our dinner at Mitas and look forward to returning soon!
Might have been the best service I have ever received in a downtown Cincinnati restaurant. Really fun menu, my wife loved it.
Delicious dining experience. Good food and wine. We had a great table!!
The food is always excellent. The surroundings are so beautiful and unique. Service was surprisingly iffy, especially relative to other trips which were great. One of the food somehow talked the our waiter who took our order into thinking that one of the plates we ordered went to a different table and then turned it into an awkward situation and frankly a bit of a scene between the two tables that neither one of us wanted. Then brought a birthday cupcake. the frosting was Soooo delicious we gooble that and wanted to take the cupcake home. However our waiter noticed we ate the frosting and made a weird comment leading to more awkwardness. Overall great as usual, with some amount of surprising awkwardness
I was hoping for more Spanish food rather than such a South/Central American influence.
We came for the fabulous restaurant week menu, and tasted 8 dishes. All were really good, as well as the service. We certainly will return.
Fantastic dining experience!
Amazing and authentic Spanish tapas, on the more fine dining and experimental side. Saying that, staples such as the pan con tomate and Patatas bravas are on point!
Another great experience at Mita's. Shared a number of plates, the ceviche specials were outstanding and the overall atmosphere was energetic yet we could still hear each other talk. Great night with great friends!
We really enjoyed our soup and appetizers! Good wine and cocktails too!
Everything about Mita’s is amazing! Always the best service and ambiance. I always leave there with no regrets as well. We ordered a nice bottle of wine which was one of the suggestions from the sommelier. And ordered lots of small plates, each one was better than the last! Our favorites were the plantain chips and the beef tongue. The calimari tacos were also great! Thanks Mita’s!
First time at Mita’s and I will tell you, the meal, the service, the mood.. none of it did not disappoint! I WILL be back!!!
I had the ceviche was excellent, the pulpo maybe the best thing that I have ever eaten and the pinchos de res were very good. I would recommend Mitas to anyone.
My family and I had an excellent experience at Mitas last night. We started off with the bread and romesco sauce. Though it sounds humble, the romesco is delightfully complex and the variety of breads makes the entire course more interesting. We also ordered the brussel sprouts, empanadas, lengua de res, and octopus. All of these dishes were interesting and unique takes on tapas. I was most surprised by how much I enjoyed the lengua. The favas beans and chorizo were lovely in this dish. We finished off out dinner with the paella. Everything in this dish was excellently seasoned and the presentation was entertaining. After paella we moved onto dessert. We chose to order everything but the ice creams and we made the right choice. Every single dessert was fantastic. The chocolate tarte was so glossy I think I could have seen my reflection in it if I had tried. The rice pudding with rhubarb was such a comforting dish because if reminded me of my mother's strawberry rhubarb pie. The sorbets are not to be overlooked either. Blood orange and vanilla tastes like a creamsicle while the tropical flavor has hints of passion fruit. Last but certainly not least the tres leches cake was absolutely delicious. They've taken the traditional cake and turned it into a layer cake which lends a little extra surprise of sweetness to each bite. Overall it was a fun and memorable meal. The atmosphere of this restaurant is far from stuffy. Its cozy yet modern at the same time and the booths muffle sound so it doesn't get too loud even on a busy Saturday.
Amazing food and service. Very satisfied overall.
A couple excellent vegan options. Several vegetarian options. Nice places for a special outing for medium high price.
Loved the food we tried. Don't go hungry unless you order a lot however. Our server was good at making recommendations and quick to bring out our tapas. We loved all the vegetables and our favorite dish of the night was the pozole verde. It was YUMMY! The white sangria also hit the spot. Next time we come we will try the paella. We liked the peppers as well. No complaints on any dishes and all perfectly seasoned. Loved the sauce that came with the beef short rib empanadas.
Delicious as always! Service seemed a little scattered as opposed to our typical experiences, but overall still great.
The service was absolutely outstanding. The portions were somewhat small for the price, but the flavor is definitely there. What I loved most about our dinning experience was that I didn’t mention that it was my brother’s birthday, we just had some gifts on the table; however, when it was time to have dessert, the server surprised us with a cupcake that had a candle on it—this just made the evening even more special :) Details like this make restaurants such as this worth every single penny! Thank you, Mitas!
Great little find when recently staying in downtown Cinci. Great small plate offerings, unique and flavourful. Took time to explain the offerings and helped with suggestions.
Great atmosphere, casual yet refined. Different than typical restaurant setting, open and modern. Food was excellent, well explained and spaced perfectly. We had a wonderful time.
Some of the best and most interesting food and wine in Cincinnati. It was great. Our faves were the octopus’s and the shrimp. Absolutely amazing, extremely fresh and super flavorful.
This place ALWAYS is a good idea! I absolutely love it ❤️
Fabulous as always.
Everything was great but paella was over cooked and dried.
5 stars all the way! One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Thank you Mita’s and see you again soon ❤️
We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Susie was a great server. We had show tickets so she kept us on a perfect schedule. She recommended 5 plates and that was the perfect number. The red snapper ceviche was exquisite. The calamari tacos, the short rib enpanadas, and everything else was wonderful. We will return.
We were seated in a corner booth, so were able to have an intimate conversation with a guest we had added on at the last minute. The recommendations of the server were great, and all of the food was very tasty. It was a lovely evening.
Food was just okay, a bit of a let down. Service was good, ambience nice. No reason to return though.
This place is very good. Wine price was reasonable. My two friends got the 'everything' salmon and loved the salmon but didn't quite 'get' the cream cheese things that looked like gnocchi but were mushy. Personally I thought the plate needed a crisp vegetable as a side. I ordered the fried oyster slider and a kale salad, both very good. Saturday night--very loud--but not so loud that we couldn't talk. This place is still a good bet for quality.
Wonderful evening all around, great food.We love the place.
Mita's is a very good place to dine and a fine addition to Cincinnati.
What a great dining experience! The food was fabulous, and our waiter was very helpful in assuring that we were ordering the correct portions for our table of 7. Too many nice bites to name a favorite!
My wife and I had reservations for 7:30 on Friday. Everything started fine. Until our server stopped by - he was aloof, didn’t make eye contact and had little of value to say. The appetizers (cheese plate and peppers) were good. Our meals were ok but cold (empanadas, seafood soup). Our drink glasses sat empty for 10 min before we had to beg for a second round. After we finished and asked for the check, our server (I really wish I remembered his name) didn’t even ask about dessert, our meals or our experience. Just took my card and rang me up. The restaurant was definitely not full either. Anyway, we’ve had drinks in the bar a few times and always had a great experience. Our one (and probably only) dinner experience was poor at best. At least the company was good!!
The food and the service was wondering. Although, the tables were kind of close together so it was hard to listen to the people at your table because it was very loud.
