Mita's, the second restaurant from acclaimed Chef Jose Salazar, is named after his Colombian grandmother - his "Mita." The beautiful 130 seat restaurant designed by MSA Architects is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati at the corner of Fifth and Race Streets on the ground floor of the 84.51 Building. Mita's eclectic, farm inspired menu focuses on both the traditional and modern foods and beverages of Spain and Latin America, with tapas, ceviches, cured hams, cheeses and large plates.

    Mita’s is one of my favorite go to restaurants, when I want to have a quiet special and unique dinner with a friend. The wines are obviously mostly Spanish and reasonable value, the menu is not huge, but it is varied and reflects various aspects of Spain and South America. We always like the ceviche, the toast with crushed tomatoes, and of course, the very special Spanish ham. Parking is proximate, And the restaurant is open on Monday evenings, which some times can be a difficult time to find an open wonderful restaurant. Thank you, Mr. Salazar for what you do for Mita’s and the city!

    The cocktails were great. I had the clarified margarita and it was excellent. Food was also amazing. Our waiter paced the meal perfectly.

    Love the small plate concept and Mitas has it down. Huge variety for every palate. Sangria isn't too bad either!!

    The food was good, but could use less salt, especially on the Shishito Peppers ( it says " a lot of salt" on the menu, but I would ask for less. Pan con tomate was excellent as was the cuello de pescado.

    Our server was great - before he took our order he asked if we were headed anywhere after dinner so he could be aware of the time and ensure we were not late. We appreciated this because we were going to a show at the Aronoff! The food was excellent!
