Mita's is the second restaurant from James Beard Finalist Chef Jose Salazar and is named after his Colombian grandmother - his "Mita." The beautiful 130 seat restaurant designed by MSA Architects is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati at the corner of Fifth and Race Streets on the ground floor of the 84.51 Building. Mita's eclectic, farm inspired tapas menu focuses on both the traditional and modern foods and beverages of Spain and Latin America, with charcuterie, ceviches, and paella.

    Transcendent dining experience. Warm and impeccable service, astonishing excellence in the menu additions and everything else we ordered. Fish, pastry, beef, vegetables all cooked perfectly and displayed beautifully. Unusual delicious combinations and presentation. Wine and cocktails were exceptional. No superlative is too extravagant for the evening. Every minute was a delight.

    We love Mita's! Hadn't been back for a year and it reminded me that we need to come more often. Each dish was delicious and thoughtful. The paella was outstanding, along with the jicama and mango salad and the pork belly tacos. Mita's remains my favorite place for fine dining in Cincy. Never disappoints!

    The scallops were the best single bite of food I’ve ever had. Grace our server, was outstanding. The order of the dishes that she chose for us was spot on. The wine was delicious and while we weren’t in a hurry the food came out quickly. 10/10 will be back as soon as possible.

    Celebrated wedding anniversary at Mita’s and the food and atmosphere was fantastic. The bread was so delicious. A few slices had green olives baked in which was next level good. The tostones y guacamole was great. The down had a perfect balance of creaminess from guacamole and salt from the plantains. I got the chilled crab salad absolutely amazing. My husband enjoyed his pork chops. We will return very soon and try the Paella.
