What a nice surprise to find such a nice Peruvian menu. First time here but will definitely return. The food being delivered to all tables looked infanantly better than the one before it. The pastry chef is there in the evening and very informative about her process. We were way to full but didn't refuse to take several home. You'll see what I'm talking about!

Came here to visit daughter @ SLO & ate here to celebrate her birthday. ordered tapas style and we were pleasantly surprised by the freshness & quality & taste of Peruvian cuisine (our first time) & service. Even the dessert (carrot cake) was delicious! Regret we forgot to order to-go the pastry chef’s homemade chocolates! They looked amazing! Coming back next time!

One of our absolute favorites on the Central Coast. Wife loves the SEA BASS but I keep mixing it up... from the AHI to the SHORT RIBS to often going with just several small plates. Thanks for running a wonderful restaurant, Alex! (Also, the IHG DINING points keep us coming back over and over.)

Loved it!! Had so many appetizers I could barely eat my dinner. Next time I’m going all tapas or all dinner. Cocktails are strong beware :) Definitely save room for desert. Thank you Mistura!

The food here is consistently delicious, and we return regularly for our favorites, including the beef heart skewers, chunchos (short ribs), and the always-amazing aji amarillo (chicken with aji amarillo cream). Our vegetarian friends have plenty of options which they enjoy. The cocktails are also always well-prepared with lots of variety. I'm also always impressed with the dessert offerings, which are unusual and often have wonderful presentation. A great fine dining experience in San Luis Obispo, and a cuisine that is not as well-known as it deserves. I would travel to Peru simply for the food based on my experience at Mistura and other Peruvian restaurants I have enjoyed.

I love this place and I was very exited to come back with my wife. However once we were seated they filled our waters once or twice the couples on either side ordered and ate but nobody ever came to take our order. We waited 45 minutes no lie no exaggeration. So we just left and went next door. I love the food drink and ambience at Mistura and usually great service. No worries We will be back. Merry Christmas

The kitchen at Mistura does an OUTSTANDING JOB! The dishes are imaginative, wonderfully prepared, attractively plated, and oh-so-flavorful. Just THINKING about the culinary creations that we enjoyed reminds me of how delightful dining can be. Bravo to whoever created the menu, the recipes, and everyone who prepares the meals! Absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately, the evening was marred by service that was "indifferent" at best, downright neglectful, perhaps, and, according to one of my guests, "insulting, to the point of being arrogant." I truly wanted to enjoy this restaurant, so I overlooked other reviews which commented on the poor service. After a brief exchange with the restaurant owner, I determined the source of the problem. While he was courteous, it was instantly apparent to me that he was totally unaware of what a good service level should be -- and how to address service failures, when presented with information that was critical of the service. To be frank, I don't think he listened, cared, or understood. Sigh. TOO BAD! A FABULOUS kitchen and dishes, but, in my opinion, no concept of what "good service" should be. Instead of exploring the nature of my disappointment, he was, instead, quick to defend the service. Amusingly, when I mentioned to the server that we'd hardly ever seen her and felt neglected, she indirectly blamed the management, as she was the only server scheduled on duty and they had many, busy tables. In my opinion, VERY unprofessional on both of their accounts. Looking at my other reviews on Open Table, one can quickly surmise that I am quick to praise (and lavishly praise, at that) -- when it is deserved. However, though the food was FABULOUS, what was, in my opinion, very poor service (and a response to being confronted with that information) prohibits me from recommending this restaurant. So sad. AMAZING food; DEVASTATINGLY DISAPPOINTING service.

What can I say, except we go back every year! It’s our favorite restaurant and have been enjoying it for several years. The food is unique and fabulous. Something you just don’t find everywhere. The chef- owner makes it a point to stop and talk to his customers, which we find quite endearing. We are never disappointed with the meal or ambiance.

This was the first time for us "out of towners." We were probably the oldest customers but we just love good Peruvian food and there are no restaurants specializing in our area. You need to come to Orange County! We had to wait a while for a server while two tables, who were seated after us were served first but it was worth the wait. After that hiccup we were well served. The cocktails, and the food were outstanding. Everything was very fresh and well prepared and delightfully presented. The desserts were to die for...I wanted one of each. The pastry chef came to our table and showed us the desserts while describing each one.

We had the Filet Mignon and the Arroz Chaufe (with added chicken). Both were excellent. The spicing so unique. Beautifully plated and served. The Service was exemplary. We even got a visit from he Chef/owner. This is our 'go to' place for all visitors. We have never been disappointed. We think we should get a punch card that offers us something for all the times we go there! The desserts are always beautiful...this time, I had something readied at home so we did not include dessert this time. Definitely 5+ stars!!

We first tried Mistura when they were on Paso. The San Luis location has more style and was a lovely experience. The food was very fresh and creative.
