I have eaten at Mistral several times and it is always the best!!
Great food. Always great service. The manager and the owner run the restaurant perfectly. The whole team has been together for years and it shows
Beautiful ambiance, amazing service, gourmet food.. One of the classiest places in the valley
Just a wonderful experience. The food was incredible and we can’t wait to dine here again for our next special occasion!
We have had the pleasure of dinning at Mistral quite often. The food and service is always right on. My wife and I look forward to going back.
The service was amazing, the staff was very friendly, as you walked in you are greeted instantly coming through the door. The food is out this world!!! Very romantic setting to celebrate a special occasion!
Always a terrific experience. I love this restaurant!
Great attentive service and the food is divine! Every inch a French bistro, wish it wasn’t so noisy..
I love this place. Great food. Great service. It used to be a "hidden gem", but it is getting very popular, even with the Hollywood set. About 2 months ago I saw Bryan Cranston. On my most recent visit, Andy Garcia was there.
The asparagus, arugula, artichoke salad is a must! The bread is always amazing. We enjoyed the veal Milanese and short ribs. Both were prepared to perfection! We enjoyed nice wines that our server helped pair with our courses. We go to Mistral all the time and it is always special and new.
This place is solid! Never disappoint... Food is amazing!
The closest Los Angeles will ever get to a Parisian dining experience. Tucked away in the valley, this gem is full of flavor.
Mistral is Always a reliable meal with great service Lunch or Dinner
It's my favorite restaurant in my area...always good food and service, drinks and desserts too
Fabulous as always! Our meals were outstanding. The service could not be better.
Great food. Great service. Henri (owner) and Raul (maitre d') are always so warm and welcoming. Given the quality of the experience, the food and wine are reasonably priced. One of my favorite restaurants.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Dine L.A. prix fixe menu. It was more elevated than the a la carte menu, which tends more toward French brasserie fare. Based on our experience, we would expect the regular menu to be as expertly prepared. Per management, they will also incorporate some of the Dine L.A. dishes as daily specials from time to time, making Mistral a foodie destination every day. The wine list is definitely high end and there are some great finds in the by the glass selections.
Food was cooked to perfection! Service was spot on, friendly and very welcoming staff,
all of them. My only issue is the noise level, which made talking to my date impossible.
It was great as always
the wagyu sorry ribs were ok. the rack of lamb want anything exceptional the escargot was delicious however.
i also found it unprofessional that the owner (or manager) had an impromptu meeting with his staff in the dining room, where we observed him scolding them.
food was excellent as usual but they ignored the birthday we were celebrating. I had reminded them when I made the reservation and again when I confirmed it.
Went for Dine LA, took the 3-course meal; food and service were excellent! Alex, our head waiter, took excellent care of us. Also, the owner, Henry, stopped by to confirm everything was acceptable. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quality French bistro...
This was my 2nd visit to Mistral within the last 2 months and the food and service were just as outstanding this visit as my last. The quality of the food is amazing and is expertly prepared. This is my new favorite restaurant!
This was our first visit to Mistral, a place we had wanted to go to for many years, but somehow had never made it there. It lived up to its reputation. The preparation and quality of the food could not be bettered. Service was perfect and attentive, yet not the hovering kind. The restaurant is smallish and warmly decorated. The only reasons I rated the ambiance one notch below outstanding were (1) it's a tad to noisy and (2) our table location adjacent to where all the waiters gather or come out from the kitchen -- a very high traffic spot. As a heads up to future diners, it's a rather expensive restaurant. We were fortunate that it was included in the semi-annual 2-week DineLA program. For $49 we received a choice of starters (the scallops I chose were cooked perfectly), a choice of entrees (my wife chose the rack of lamb - perfect) and a choice of desserts (do not miss the chocolate souffle). On the regular menu all this would have been about $25 more. We will return when we a looking for a special evening and, of course, for the next DineLA in July.
The overall atmosphere was nice...
Regarding the food it was a big disappointment and over priced relative to the level of the food.
My first order was the Spicy shrimps - nothing special ... just shrimps - not worth the price ...
Next I ordered a New York Stake - priced around 50$ - I got a big piece of steak that was dry and hard to cut with a sharp knife. The stake came with an enormous amonut of french fries that had a smell of old cooking oil. My guest had a half of the Onion soup - She didnt want to eat anymore ... oh, And they lied about the wine (they told me it was 'brunello' and it was something else) ...
Not worth it ... They need Gordon Ramsie to fix their kitchen ...
I have always loved this place. The food is wonderful, the owner Henry and his staff so accommodating, the ambience, warm and inviting. Winner! I introduced a new friend to your restaurant and I know she will be coming back.
I've been to Mistral twice -once we just sat at the bar and had a chocolate soufle and glass of red wine. The second time was for dinner. I highly recommend the scallops. The owner greeted us, and the waiter was nice. The food was good, and the atmosphere is warm.
Not Great. After years of reading praising reviews of this restaurant, we expected a lot more. It is a store front location in a busy commercial area, nothing appealing or anything that would make you want to go in. The service was excellent and they really tried to make this a pleasant experience. The food was just not that great, average or just OK at best. It became very loud the longer we were there. Just not the kind of place you want to ever go back too. The prices on the regular menu were very high, the sort of prices that you would expect at a high class restaurant with excellent food. Many better choices in the area.
The occasion was DineLA. Stunning food! Great service. The DineLa menu was composed with great expertise. Unlike so many other restaurants charge extra for expensive ingredients,Mistral menu included large Maine Scallops, Wagyu beef, rack of lamb, chocolate souffle .
DineLa is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with this top level restaurant at a reasonable cost.
The food is the reason to come. So much better than the trendy, run-of-the-mill fancy bar food joints all over the valley.
