Amazing. Could not have had a better Thanksgiving ❤️
Lovely restaurant with consistently. They have done a wonderful job spacing the tables and other COVID precautions while keeping the ambiance of the restaurant.
Best tuna taretare in the city, always so consistent with all food items, Alex our server is a real pro
Felt very safe during the pandemic. Someone was sanitizing the bathroom routinely. Multiple sanitation stations. Everyone wore masks. Very timely service to stay within the 2 hour time limit on the table. Water for the table. Overall excellent experience.
Really nice ambience, great food, friendly staff as well
Our server Alex was excellent! Started with the Foie Gras appetizer and had the Beef Filet cooked perfectly. Chocolate Valhrona to finish.
We had an 8pm reservation to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were seated in a cozy corner spot with views of the TV so we could watch Kamala Harris and Joe Biden speak. Our waiter was prompt and sweet. My husband had a Citrus Basil Gimlet (where he swapped the vodka for Sapphire Gin) and I ordered the Radio Flyer. Both drinks were great, very smooth. Since we let them know that we were going to share, the kitchen would send out the orders already split in their own dishes so we each got to enjoy the plating.
- Maine Crab Ravioli with Thyme and Tomato Broth: If I could crawl in the bowl, I would. The pasta was fresh and the filling was succulent. The broth is great for dipping bread. If I didn’t continue to restrain myself I wouldn’t picked up the bowl and gulped down what was left in it.
- Seared Foie Gras with Confit of Duck in Brioche with Wisconsin Dried Cherry Gastrique: The foie gras was gently seared on top nestled on a little tower of indulgence. Your first thought is not to cut open open the tower and ruin the display. However, once you do, you see that the duck confit was hiding in the brioche like Greeks in a horse. This dish was savory, fluffy, full of flavor.
- Dover Sole Meunière with Lemon and Capers, Sauté of Spinach and Onions, Fingerling Potatoes: I feel like I remember reading about sole meunière and how it changed her life. Well, this was life changing. The sole was tender and juicy with just the right amount of tang from the lemon and capers. The spinach was soft which provided contrast to the crunch of the onions. This sole has deeply affected my soul.
I definitely see myself driving back to Boston from New York just to eat here again. Sorry, no pictures of the food but please enjoy this photo of my husband with his dessert.
The food is out of this world. We loved the foie gras and duck confit appetizer. We will definitely be back!
A nice dining experience good food; service lagged at times, but that's understandable given everything...
Was as I expected of Mistral
Food was fantastic. Service was excellent. Restaurant follows covid protocols perfectly. Highly recommend and cannot wait to return!
Highly recommend the Tuna Tartar and the Dover Sole. You can't go wrong with these selections
The oyster mushrooms were OK, but not very exciting
excellent staff, did their best to make our dinner special outside. Food was excellent!
Great job making the best of this horrible covid.
Phenomenal experience. We’ve dined outside at Mistral several times during the pandemic, this was our 3rd time dining inside. One of the few places we feel safe dining inside. Very generous table spacing, individually wrapped and sealed silverware, electronic or paper menus not shared between guests. And, the usual outstanding food and service we’ve been enjoying there for more than 20 years. Halibut is my go-to time after time. My 85 year old Dad said lamb chops were the best he’s ever had.
Lillian at the bar is a doll! Good wonderful as always.
The staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our request were honored. The high ceilings and the clear glass divisions between the seating booths, made it a reassuring place in terms of safety in the covid era. The food was delicious, we ordered a bunch of appetizers and some of their flatbread specialities that were exquisites. It was a lovely evening.
We had a fabulous dinner. I always love your escargot. And indeed it was very special.
My tuna tartare was exceptional. We three shared each of our entrees and left very sated. Staff was very attentive and available whenever we required something else.
I always recommend Mistral in Boston to my friends. ((I introduced two of them Monday evening and they were so impressed, they picked up the tab!)

Great dining experience. Quality of food was outstanding
We always have an amazing dining experience at Mistral! One of the best restaurants around!
It was amazing!
delicious food, highlights were the crab ravioli and the warm apple tart, high quality establishment
Fantastic food, attentive service (especially with Covid), sexy atmosphere. I'd 100% come back the next time I visit and will definitely be recommending to friends as a must-try when visiting Boston.
We sat at the bar, and we felt very welcomed and safe with all that’s going on. Lillian was our bartender/server. Very sweet and professional. The food was excellent as always. We love Mistral and cant wait to go back. Oh and the display between bar seats were beautiful.
See you soon Mistral,
Sally and John DeCaro
Great food / great service.
The entire staff is welcoming and very professional. Menu selections are 5 stars. Wine by the glass offerings are well done. Mistral is one of the best!
Food was excellent, service was just ok.
We had a wonderful dinner and will be back soon
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and had an amazing dinner. Everything was out of this world!
Superb! Food was excellent and service was superb. We dined outside, which meant 'on the street' (due to COVID). It was a bit windy and loud, but that is no fault of the restaurant. The service was so incredible. I was walked close to the bathroom to show me where it was, I was waited on supportively and attentively, and the staff was so very kind. The food was equally excellent. It was pricy, but a great anniversary dinner.
Went to celebrate my wife's birthday. I wasn't too concerned about COVID safety because of the extensive list of precautions that Mistral put on its website. But the actual experience exceeded my expectations. All the staff wore masks, and the napkins and utensils were wrapped in plastic. There was only one table/booth near us, and there was a plexiglass partition in between. Even when the restaurant filled up, there was still plenty of space between tables.
The food was excellent, as always. The service was equally good. Mistral is our go-to place for celebratory dinners, and this experience only reinforced that.
We went for our anniversary and loved it! The food was amazing and so was the service! Highly recommend!
Everything was excellent—food, service, ambiance. Best place to go for special occasions. Have never been disappointed. Highly recommended. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Everything was superb
Great meal at Mistral!
The food and wine were exquisite, as always, but the service was not up to its usual standard or the standard a restaurant like this should achieve. It was very erratic and, toward the end of the meal, simply disappeared.
Mistral has not missed a beat in these pandemic times. We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our anniversary. It was delightful! The tuna tartare is a must-try appetizer.
I understand it is 'Covid' but this was a horrible experience. We wanted to mark a very special occasion at my old favorite restaurant but it was an incredible disappointment.
I guess I couldnt help expecting my favorite restaurant to be somewhat similar
to what it had been but it was not.
The tables were stark when we sat down with only table cloth and votive candle on it making it look like we were eating in someone's basement. Perhaps to show cleanliness? but really looked and felt terrible.
The service was slow and indifferent.
The food was not good. My husband said his fish was terrible! Bread allmost too hard to tear a piece off of - how long had that been there?
Other dishes so non descript I can't remember.
All in all we wished we had not driven into Boston for that experience.
Came here with my best friend for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious and our waiter was the sweetest. He wished me happy birthday while smiling under his face mask almost every time he came to the table. Mistral also does a fantastic job making customers feel safe during COVID - they offer free masks, gloves, alcohol wipes for your phone, a plastic pocket to keep your face mask, and you can also use a UV wand to disinfect your bag. There is also plenty of space between the tables. Highly recommend!
Birthday celebration dinner with family.
Outstanding service and food - quality and prep.
Given the challenges at this time, Mistral didn’t skip a beat and continues to make you feel special ( and very safe).
My sincere compliments for your efforts.
Did not go unnoticed and very much appreciated.
