They keep raising the bar everyday. Amazing restaurant
Food and service superb. Atmosphere perfect for anniversary celebration. Excellent all around !
When making the reservation we listed that it was a special occasion (birthday) and that one of the guests had food allergies. The server seemed to be aware of the latter but didn’t really seem to care. And the fact that this was a special occasion was not even acknowledged.
If Open Table is going to ask for this information during the reservation process, I think it should be acknowledged in some way on the other side.
Service was very slow. Food was average
Everything was wonderful. We were celebrating two birthdays, and had a lovely waitress, Tiffany. I had been in several fine restaurants during the week, celebrating my birthday, from Boston Chops, to the Bristol Lounge, to even Brio. At all of them I was surprised by and got a free dessert, with a candle, the writing on the plate, etc. at Mistral there were the two of us with birthdays. We ordered a dessert to share. It came with the birthday writing on the plate and the candle....and a $15 charge!! We were shocked. We should have said something, but didn’t. It was a sad way to end my week of Boston birthday celebrations.
Service was friendly and food tasty.
The experience unbearable due to a room temperature of 76degrees Fahrenheit which had us sweating all throughout the evening.
A favorite place to celebrate special occasions. Wonderful service.
Food, Service, Everything = Outstanding experience all around!
Anniversary dinner. Waitress helped us shape a meal around the dishes we chose into a multi course meal with the food properly organized. Top notch service.
Food was amazing! Service was good ... we were celebrating my birthday and my party had told both the hostess and our server and they still seemed to forget and and brought another dessert over when we were half way done with all of the desserts that we had ordered ... but otherwise we loved it!
Best brunch in Boston !!
As always the food was stellar. Tuna tartare, beef carpaccio, fillet mignon pizza and halibut were all delicious and the kitchen was very mindful of my wifes allergy. Service was mediocre but these days that’s not too surprising anywhere you go unless you are lucky. And for some reason the hostess couldn’t find our reservation which was a first in our many years of dining and made for kind of an awkward interaction. Still a wonderful experience thanks as always Mistral!!!!
We had a great meal with a group of 8, they could stand to get a little more modern and inventive with the menu its getting a little stale. Cocktails were excellent, wine list is pretty good.
Dark to See menues. Our table was terrible but wr think it was the only bad table in the room. Should be eliminated. We would go back
We love Mistral! Any time we head to Boston we try to eat here. Fabulous food and great wine too. Service is excellent.
Lively restaurant, excellent service. Steak came overdone and they quickly replaced it with one that was done properly and very tasty. The beef carpaccio was tender, full of flavor. Wine list a bit pricey. Would go back.
Great food!! Love it there!!
An oasis in the middle of Boston! Exquisite ambiance and lovely décor. We are from Atlanta, and a friend recommended this restaurant. Glad we were able to experience it! Memorable evening.
The duck was amazing! The food is always delicious.
Food was excellent, relaxing atmosphere and attentive staff.
Celebrated another anniversary there. The food is always perfect. The wine menu is quite broad.
Mistral is my favorite restaurant in Boston. We have dined there many times. However, this time I felt that the service and food were not up to par. And...the music was very loud. We were in the front of the restaurant without other tables around us and could barely hear each other. I was disappointed in my favorite place.
As usual excellent food & service. Somehow noisy, will recomendable to my friends. We were a party of four and everybody was pleased with what was ordered.
Very good food especially appetizers, lovely dining area, excellent service. The wait staff met your every need without interrupting conversations. Wine and water glasses remained full, crumbs cleared between courses etc. High ceilings and windows give an airy feel like a European restaurant you might read about in a novel or see in a movie . Main course foods cooked well with quality ingredients but not very inventive. Menu is pricey and could use some updates as to main course preparations.
Wonderful meal and service - as usual!
Ambiance and food very good.
Prices are on the high end.
Waiter and hostess were advised that we were taking out a couple celebrating thier 50th anniversary
and hostes took thier names.
I asked her if Mistral could do something "special" for them on this occasion.
We spent about 400.00 for meal.
At end of meal the waiter brought two ice cream dishes that had thier names squeezed on plate.
We were charged for both.
Nothing special about that .
Fantastic cheese platter, salad, exceptional wine, great main dishes but no one does rack of lamb like good home-made, marinated properly for hours and on the grill
This restaurant was buy far the best we have been to in many years. The food was excellent the whole staff was knowledgeable and attentive. This know one of my favorites.
We have heard rave reviews of Mistral and it was excellent. Comparing it to Menton which we also recently dined at, the service was a little stiffer. Also, at Menton they throw in a few little "extras"... amuse bouche... which was a nice touch.
Very disappointed that people forgot to recognize my wife’s birthday.
They ask the for the spelling of her name when they called to confirm reservation.
Awesome dining experience. Its worth the expensive pricing.
When entering the restaurant, you are struck by the huge columns and dramatically high ceiling. The interior is very attractive and has a European ambiance. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu was impressive and had a broad selection at a reasonable price for fine dining. The Dover Sole special was outstanding as well as the roasted duck half. I would definitely go back on my next trip to Boston.
The food here was very good, but we missed having vegetables of some kind on the main courses. They, like a steakhouse, try to get the diner to purchase overpriced side dished, which greatly offends me. The menu seemed overpriced in general. My opinion was somewhat soured by the main waiter that we had, who was inattentive and lacking in energy. This negatively colored our overall experience. The other, lesser wait-staffers were diligent, however. In sum, while the food was well crafted, I could not see a good reason to return to this restaurant.
Amazing in every way as usual!! Our favorite restaurant in Boston.
Great food and great service. One of our favorites in Boston. Can't wait to come back.
One of my favorite restaurants in Boston, Mistral never disappoints!
Superb food. Corn and lobster soup spectacular. Pasta and clams as well as halibut outstanding. Service was professional. On the whole an excellent experience at a fine restaurant.
Business dinner after a two year hiatus and happy to see that they still have the “touch. Great service. Interesting, well, executed menu. Intriguing craft cocktail list .
Way to go!
Long time since I have been to Mistral; a wonderful restaurant - will go again soon!
Our meal was spectacular, in particular The Beef Carpaccio was the best I've ever had.
