Our experience was good. Luckily we were at the couch / table area in the dining room with the end of the soft cushion seat put my husband's back to the person behind him. The service was the best ever everyone worked together and were kind. Although we came because my husband googled "romantic" restaurant to have a special couple dinner and neither of us consider it romantic at all - maybe soft lights was what is considered "romantic". But no complaints it was cozy with a full house. (smile) We would certainly come again the food was excellent!
we had a brunch reservation for well over a month - the table we were seated at was in the middle of the dining area, very cramped, and very loud. We requested to be moved. Our server was fairly rude and we felt rushed. We were not even offered coffee or a dessert menu. The food was adequate - nothing special. The English muffin for my eggs Benedict was burnt - literally black. The muffins were dry and tasted like a mix. I would be willing to give the restaurant another try - it was highly recommended.
Everything was good, except the waiter came by and took the bread and the butter/humus away too soon. Next time leave it! We're still munching on it!!!
Love Mistral. Friends and love to go to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. It’s our preferred restaurant.
Mistral made my moms birthday really special. Will definitely be back!
Steak cooked perfectly. Server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant set the tone for a perfect evening
Because of traffic issues, I did not arrive until 30 minutes after my guest were seated but the waiter would not take our drink orders until after I was seated.
love everything about Mistral! The atmosphere is so beautiful, the service fantastic and the food was delicious. Great way to spend my birthday!!
Food was excellent, and plentiful, bit pricey. It was very noisy and the tables are close together, a turn off.
Absolutely the best dinner dining spot in Boston. The service and the food is spot on. Couldn't have selected a better place to enjoy dinner with friends.
Appetizers were great, all of us ordered tenderloin medium well. The steak came out even dryer and harder than a well-done cooked steak.
The food and service were amazing!
Great location and great food! wine is very good too
Arrived for brunch and was seated immediately but nobody came to give us water or take a coffee or drink order for 15 minutes. When the drinks finally came we told the waiter we were ready to order and he said he’d be right back. He took an order from the table next to us and disappeared.
The food was fine but not special. We were never offered another drink or more coffee. We will not return.
Well prepared, but average food. Not worth the price.
Wish they still offered the halibut with lobster risotto. Nevertheless, everything on ther menu is delicious. The thin crust appetizer tenderloin pizza and the dessert chocolate pizza are unique and excellent.
Always love it. Menu among the best and their service is the best in town.
We had a 10:30 am reservation. We didn’t get seated for awhile as the restaurant just opened and they weren’t very prepared for the amount of people with the same time. My coffee came way after the meal - which for breakfast is not acceptable.
Hadn’t been for about a year but it’s still
As good as ever.
Another wonderful evening with friends over a delicious meal. Service and comfort were top notch.
Too large to be intimate but good food, creative presentation and excellent service
Great food and service. Overwhelmingly noisy and very expensive. The noise alone would keep me from returning.
i love the food and ambiance of the restaurant. however, it was quite noisy. hard to carry a conversation around our table of 5 right behind the bar. On a thursday eve, it was vibrant.
A great Bistrot
Visiting from Los Angeles and found the quality of food, presentation, service all very good. We wish they had a few more moderately price bottles on the wine list, but found a great value there as well.
All in all what I would recommend as a return visit next time we’re in Boston
Awesome!! Favorite restaurant in Boston
Mistral has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, unfortunately my server mishandled my check and ran my card for my neighbors $210 bill, in addition to my own sizeable bill, that was 72 hours ago and the transaction is still ‘pending’ on my account. This ‘accident’ is not appropriate for such a superb fine dining establishment.
Elegance mixed with charm and a warm ambience. French style “gastromique” food. Superior service. All washed down by a fine choice of wines. Highly recommended for the special occasion.
Wonderful food, beautiful setting, gracious staff. Perfect place to celebrate the engagement of our daughter and her fiance.
Outstanding all around! We requested a cozy corner and had a wonderful table, awesome waiter who was not at all intrusive and gave us a fantastic and reasonably priced wine recommendation, and most delicious food!
Mussels were real good! Sirloin steaks were like shoe leather! Very very disappointing! My fiancé who usually makes reservations under her name was in awe at our meal
We got to sit where we requested. Drinks were very good. We were not rushed to order any food. The single appetizer came out split, even though we didn't ask - Great ! Both of us had the lamb which was cooked perfectly. One plate had adjustments to the sides which were perfect. We will go back for every special occasion.
Amazing! Best brunch in boston. Get the squash omelette and the banana bread madeleines.
We went there on a very busy Saturday night, which may explain my somewhat critical rating. Two of us ordered Halibut, which was mildly overcooked. The other two diners ordered Dover sole and roasted Duck, both of which were prepared properly. Bread, butter, and side dishes all met our expectations. We were seated near a large table of loud, boisterous diners, making it difficult to carry on a conversation.
Very good experience for a business dinner. Good food. A bit loud with tables close together.
Food was excellent but everything else was terrible.. Not sure if they were short staffed but the waiters were harried. We spent a lot of money for an experience that was more like a Ground Round. They lost our left overs.
Had a Fantastic Anniversary there. Have to admit usually when you specify your special occasion dessert is gratis Not this evening!
Over the top Great and larger than expected portions
Very good food and nice portion size but considering the price I expected to be impressed instead of just satisfied. I prefer the menu at Deuxave, but the decor and ambiance features here are very nice. Definitely a place to be seen. The cocktail list is very good and the wine is okay. Definitely coming back here before going to No. 9 park though.
Exceptional meal and impeccable service. I felt like I could taste Provence again.
