Amazing birthday dinner date. Only issue was the order our appetizers came out. Should have been spaced and in a better order.
We had a lovely dinner at Mistral. The ambience and the food were incredible. This was a weekend filled with "fancy" dinners and this one was definitely the most delicious. The reason I didn't give 5 stars for service is that I feel that the greeting on entry by the hostess was a bit scattered and though she asked the people ahead of us if they wanted to give their coats for check, she barely looked at us or made conversation. Still an amazing dinner and will come back. Will definitely recommend!
Wonderful food and superb service! This restaurant will be on our list of stops every time we are in Boston.
Foood was excellent - everything came out hot and prepared to perfection. Service was excellent.
Excellent food and service—as always!
Outstanding - one of my favorite places to dine when I’m in town! Besides the food, the Sangria is top of my list!
Really nothing available for a vegetarian. The dish on the menu was a simple pasta with tomato, arugala and parmesan (for $25). Very disappointing at any price. Staff got our meal mixed up and delivered someone else's meals to us, then took them away and delivered them to the right table. They did comp us a dessert for the disappointing main course, but probably wouldn't go back again. The tables are packed in far too close together and the noise level is extremely high.
Excellent food. The service was incredible. Brittany was thoughtful and answered our dietary questions. The chocolate sorbet was exceptional.
Our favorite restaurant in Boston! Consistently great food and service in a beautiful dinning space.
As usual a fabulous meal. Food was outstanding albeit a bit pricey. Service outstanding. Just an all around great time, great meal.
Great place for a romantic dinner. Very good service and ambiance.
Everything was amazing, besides the extremely rude hostess!
Our favorite restaurant in Boston...bar none! We love to introduce people to Mistral who are visiting from out of town. The food and service never disappoint and the response from friends is always the same...AMAZING! Everyone loves the variety of options from apps to salads, to pizzas to entrees. The most consistent delightful restaurant to frequent in the city. Don't miss the crab ravioli, the truffled mac and cheese ( a non-traditional take on a classic), the white or steak pizza, the dover sole. I could go on and on.
Our experience was mixed. Stat and finish were poor, middle was exceptional..
We were welcomed (not really) by unfriendly hostess that had forgoten what smiling might be, also could not find reservation, the disappeared.
After being seated all was good. service was efficient and friendly. Appetizer and entrees were superb (beef carpacio, duck and dover sole). The came dessert that were both very disappointing: tasteless creme brulee and hard from the freezer profiteroles, including the chocolate. So mixed it was: ignore the hostess face, skip desert and all will be good.
Wonderful service, delicious food and a downtown Boston location with parking (paid) across the street. On street parking also, but hard to find a space. The cinnamon buns that are offered with the Sunday brunch are so delicious and warm right out of the oven. We also had a delicious mushroom risotto with wild mushrooms. A great place for a couple or a small group!
We came to Boston on our way back from a trip to Las Vegas. As it was our last night of the trip we were keen to find somewhere nice to round off an amazing holiday. Mistral was the perfect place to end! From the service to the food, everything was of the highest quality. The waiter remembered every little detail of our order and despite it being and incredibly busy Saturday evening, there was no wait and the food was delicious! A must go when in Boston!
The food was fabulous and Matt, our server, couldn't have made us feel more comfortable and welcome. Matt is simply wonderful!
Perfect setting for our date night - excellent food, comfortable corning seating, low noise level, and attentive service! Roast duck, filet, caesar, escargot, and chocolate souffle were prepared to perfection!
Highly recommend for a special occasion!
Superb food and presentation, gracious ambiance--a wonderful place to take good friends!
Good food - comfortable seating - noisy and crowded.
What an amazing brunch! Start to finish the food and the service were excellent!
One of my favorite restaurants in Boston. Go for the duck. Service usually excellent but this last visit was questionable.
Sole was not as good as when I was there before.
Waitress seemed rushed and like a robot
I expected it to be better for the price they charge. It was very cold inside to the point that it was uncomfortable and no one did anything about it. Other than that, the food was good ( also nothing special for the$), service was excellent and the ambience was good
Great dinner as always
I've been coming here since I moved to Boston 20 years ago and Mistral has always been a favorite.
Hadn't been there in about a year, but the other night it felt like it had lost some of it's magic. Waitress was nice, but we felt rushed. Food came quick, which can be seen as a plus, but we eat at Mistral to enjoy a nice night out. Not to be in an out in an hour. Tuna, as usual, was great, but the Salmon portion, although tasty, was small. Desert was average. I've had too many great meals here, but was disappointed relative to past experiences.
It was a bit noisy tonight. Usually a bit more quiet. Overall, good evening.
We ordered the Dover sole...a splurge at 60 each...it was frankly fantastic...huge portion...not a bone is sight...presented on a bed of spinach...a true treat..
Food and service was great, very pricey!!
Always great food. Servers need updated outfits and irons. Kind if crammed in there but understand that space is money
Fabulous each and every time! The food, wines and staff are all terrific.
Mistral's menu and service is excellent. The steak entree and salmon entree were perfectly prepared! Our server provided a perfectly polished and warm experience.
Consistently a great dining experience. Delicious food, wonderful wines and comfortable
Mistral remains one of our favorite restaurants but we were a bit disappointed in our last visit Friday night. While good, the prices for special cocktails was very high. Salads were just OK and our main entrée, beef short ribs, was disappointing, particularly given the high price. Our guests were also a bit disappointed in their meals. The noise level seemed excessive for a very elegant restaurant. We are hoping this was just an off night but a bit concerned.
Dinner was slow coming out. Dessert was not up to par. Otherwise it was delicious. Mitral is consecutively great.
Sunday brunch is busy but look nice and be nice to the kids at front and at the bar they’ll get you in. Bright cheerful filled with sun and Boston’s brunch crowd. Coffee is great and plentiful. Fresh muffin and apple butter prelude to great benedicts, omelettes, skillets and toasts. Upper end of the bougie scale. Compare to Bar Bolud at the Mandarin. Neither disappoints.
Outstanding as usual. The BEST restaurant in Boston. Matt was excellent 😊
Everything was as it should be. Great wait-staff. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Always excellent, been there numerous times. Best lamb in boston.
Food quality is quite good, and has been consistently so over the years. It is a bit noisy, the tables are crowded together; my dinner mate's chair leg broke as he was shoving back and getting up from sitting at the table.
