Mister Tuna, a nod to the nickname of Chef Guard's father, evokes the feeling of a family with shareable dishes cooked over an open wood fire. Whether grabbing a craft cocktail at the bar, digging in to fresh oysters and poke at the chef's counter or hosting dinner with Ohana in the main dining room, Mister Tuna offers a culinary variety fit for every palate in an urban setting.

Went for birthday dinner
Always love the creativity and presentation of the food! Awesome atmosphere, fun and great drinks!!
Great food, cool ambience, good table service, but bar service was very, very slow
Overall the food was great but expensive for the amount that is served.
When first opened this place was amazing, but has dramatically gone down hill
On one hand this place is something of a poster child for the overpriced share plates trend. Service is variable, and the industrial-chic decor could use a refresh. However...we also find the menu compelling and unique, and most dishes are executed very well. The variety of tuna options is fun, oysters are great, and grilled octopus is a standout. Remains a solid choice in this part of RiNo.
Mister Tuna is my favorite restaurant in Denver. Incredible ingredients put together very skillfully, their dishes are out of this world. My favorite is their seafood dishes, but even their sides and non-seafood dishes are incredible. The gnocchi last night was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Their seafood is fresh, they have great presentation and the chefs are very kind. Highly recommend!
Service was unusually slow (30 minutes before our drinks came) but the wait was well worth it once the food came. The Crab and Duck were excellent as was the Gnocchi. Hopefully it was just an off night, we will return.
Food portions are comical. If you like pretending your eating at a fancy restaurant go here
We went to Mister Tuna with some coworkers/friends on Wednesday night. The food at this restaurant is unbelievably good. The service we had that night was pretty poor. However, I have to say, they got inundated with two gigantic parties just prior to us arriving. It took us forever to get drinks. This server was really good and I understood the situation he was in and he communicated it well. So I can’t fault the server as he was trying very hard. The manager offered to Pay for a round of drinks. This was very nice and not expected, however, they forgot to take it off the bill. They got it cleared up and all was good. I do believe the service we received is not indicative of the restaurant in general. I think it was a situation issue. Do not let this review deter you from going to Mister Tuna. It is an incredible restaurant with great food and great atmosphere and we will be back again for sure.
Great Wednesday music. Food is delicious!!! Great vibe.
Incredible food. Great service. Cocktails are amazing. Good date destination.
Staff was very knowledgeable about the menu, with good recommendations. The food was very good, but most plates portions were extremely small, yet prices were what you would expect for a full meal! It was difficult to have a conversation due to noise level.
Mister Tuna’s service was absolutlely amazing. Thanks to Colin, Tyler, Michael (raw bar chef) and Diego - Wilson
Great new Urban vibe in Rino.
Great experience! We sat at the Chef’s counter (highly recommend) and watched all the food be made! The GM was awesome! Very personable and knows his stuff.
The food is always delicious, but we felt that the portions have gotten significantly smaller...
The food was not good :( and the service as so so.
Love the entire menu! We got to try nearly everything because we had a group of 5 and all plates are intended to be shareable. There was truly no bad dish! Will definitely be back!
This place is always amazing! One of the top restaurants in Denver that actual gives you a bang for your buck!
There’s 6 of us for dinner. We ordered 15 plates and we seriously couldn’t find any dish that was a winner. The duck was super sweet, the macaroni with the kahlua pig was super vinegary. I understand it’s tapas style but the portions were just not as good. I’m glad we got to try it. Been meaning to for the longest time. Now that we have, we don’t have to go back.
Our server, I believe her name is Sam, was slow to attend to our table throughout the meal and was condescending at the end, ruining the vibe of the great meal. We loved the pleasant surprise discovery of the musician Lyle Divinsky
Always delicious, creative food from Troy Guard. This is my go-to place for variety and freshness.
The food was excellent and fun to try! The service was also good. Great place for outdoor seating.
Our server was great, but it took quite a bit of time to get a glass of wine, which she said was due to a new bar tender. Food was good with the exception of the little burger. Also the garage doors were open, but it was a bit windy/cool, so we left since it took so long to get a drink and were cold.
Food is exceptional but for us older foodies -the sound purpled in is too loud
Wonderful experience, but not worth the price!
Small and interesting menu with innovative sides. We had jerk chicken and pastrami, both were delicious.
The service was pretty slow and the restaurant was not busy. Impressed with the food and value.
Food was expensive and not good. Sent back and it came back worse than before. Waiter didn’t return for 30 minutes to give check. Management is great and good ambiance. A bit loud though.
We had a super nice evening at MT. Our waiter did well on recommendations. Kampachi was our favorite dish followed closely by Poke Bowl & King crab dish.
I had a great time but it was my birthday and it was never addressed by the waitress. I had written it on my reservation and told the hostess upon arrival.
Although it was not a total bust that they didn’t it was a very special day for me and I was a bit sad nothing came of it.
Overall, this was a solid meal. Troy Guard runs very good restaurants, and the flavors are usually on par. Most dishes tried here were very flavorful. The only exception was the sm'oaked shrimp. These had no flavor, and were very expensive to boot. That really informs our review. this is an expensive restaurant. At that, it is not a good value, especially compared to Troy's others.
Celebrated our anniversary here last Saturday. Everything was amazing and we can’t wait to come back!
The food was amazing but dishes we ordered were hard to split between four people. Most restaurants would suggest ordering two of something if it is not enough food to share with all parties. We ordered the shrimp dish and it only came with two shrimp, so for four people we only got half a shrimp for $15. The tuna poke only had two pieces of tuna in it which was disappointing considering the name of the restaurant is mister tuna and the server’s suggestion was to split everything.
Great location and ambiance. Small plates delicious!
This was our second time dining at Mister Tuna. We sat at the chef’s counter on a Tuesday. The vibes were great! We had the kampachi, the burrata, octopus, shiitake mushrooms, and the duck. The duck was our favorite. We really wished the burrata was served with some grilled bread....The food was all tasty but not worth the price of still being hungry after a $100 dinner...cocktails were delicious though!
Over priced food that was average at best. We tried 5 different items and none of them were worth the price we paid.
Just changed their menu to all small plates. Pretty much everyone one we had was executed perfect and was delicious. The duck is a must and was cooked perfectly. The poke bowl was spicy and well balanced. Cauliflower flatbread had great crust and nice heat from Calabrian Chiles. The goat was great as well. Octopus was perfectly cooked and the sauce and unripened strawberrys were a nice compliment. Can’t wait to go back and very impressed.
