Mission, located in the heart of Dupont Circle, combines Mexican comfort foods with American flair. Stop by for our daily happy hour to try one of our favorite apps paired with a house-made margarita (now on tap!) or enjoy dinner while sitting on our large patio, or in one of our four dining rooms. Mission has two large bar areas and an upstairs private event space and is able to host events of all sizes. Please contact for more information. It was 80 degrees outside. Restaurant was packed, super loud, and no AC. Food was ok. Any specific requests we made to our server were overlooked. Wouldn't return.

I'm from Texas and have eaten both Mexican and Tex Mex A LOT in my lifetime. This restaurant didn't hit home for me on either front. The chips and salsa were good, but the salsa wasn't hot in the least bit. The margaritas were excellent but overpriced. The food was, well, MEH. The carnitas were okay, the duck confit tacos were way over salted, the chicken tinga was dry. The rice seemed to be from a box mix. The black beans were fine.
I mean, we might go back during the summer because they have a patio and the margaritas were good, however I can't see having another full meal here.

Great place. We showed up slightly late to our reservation and the servers moved heaven and earth to get us seated immediately. They did a phenomenal job serving us and were very attentive overall. The food was a bit spicy for my date and the guac was a bit overpriced but beyond that, I will definitely be coming back.

I've been to Mission a number of times before for brunch and have not yet been disappointed. The only thing that was off-putting this time around was the hour and a half wait we had at the end of our meal because their credit card machine was down. My group requested a round of drinks on the house for the inconvenience, and they happily obliged. All in all, I know the credit card machine malfunction was an anomaly, but it did make our brunch 4-hours long in total, which was more than any of us had planned for.

Food and service were excellent. But the noise generated by what seemed a hundred female students on Margherita pitchers was so deafening that we left as soon as possible....What a racket!!!

I've been to Mission four or five times and while it's always been noisy the food was always at least good. This time I was there with my daughter and one of her friends. All three meals were served cold. I sent mine back and didn't get anything else. The ladies got some of their food reheated and ate their meals. My daughter's friend found a pretty big bone in her chicken taco. My meal was deducted from the bill but there was no apology and no one came by to talk to us. The waiter had the personality of a dish rag. I can understand he probably doesn't like his job but that's no excuse for being incompetent and rude. Needless to say Mission is off my list of places to go.

Service was terrible. Bottomless drinks with a 2 hour limit. Only had been served one drink by the first hour. Had to go into the bar and purchase a second round of drinks. Never cleared the table at any point until the check came. Will not be going back.

Mission has great food and drinks. The margaritas and sangria are delicious. All the food items are great, but the tacos and guacamole are my favorite. The happy hour deals are fantastic and the brunch on the weekends is fun and great for a friend outing because of the bottomless margaritas.

This is a cool place and the food was good but they are renovating right now, which we didn't know. So the lights were REALLY bright in the dining area and the bathrooms upstairs were freezing. I'd wait and go here when they are fully renovated.

I've dined at Mission before and have used Open Table to reserve a table. This particular time Mission was packed and the patrons, for good reason, did not want to leave - their brunch is wonderfully boozy. The staff accommodated myself and my guest with a mimosa on the house as well as being very apologetic about the wait. When we were seated, Lauren (I believe that was our waitress's name) was kind, she was a great server and she kept the drinks going. The food was good, I tried the breakfast tacos. I've done both the bottomless mimosas and the bottomless margaritas. I stuck with the bottomless mimosas, because the margaritas are pretty strong. Anyway, thank you to the staff who was accommodating and to Lauren who was super understanding concerning our wait.

Had issues with my large party reservation. However once the restaurant was able to accommodate my party, everything was amazing. We went for brunch, but the tacos are hands down the best and the bottomless mimosas and margaritas made everything better!
