The pitcher prices seem to have gone up during COVID. I know it’s hard to keep up during the pandemic for restaurants, but for a restaurant that doesn’t seem to be struggling like others, I don’t understand why it was more expensive. Also had a bit of a terse exchange with one of the hostesses
It was some really good food and the drinks were bomb!!! Our server was a sweetheart
Alyssa was our server she was amazing! Her service and energy were great!
Loud music huge restaurant, indoor outdoor options which was cool.
drinks were strong and they have pitcher options for margaritas was amazing deal!
Queso was good!
Taco review , favorites were fish and braised pork
Shrimp taco didn’t taste good and Carne Asada did taste too tasty either but overall we will be back for drinks and the environment!
Mission Navy Yard was really nice. If you want to social distance this is the the lace to be. This place is huge. Nice atmosphere and our waitress was very attentive. The food was soso. The nachos were good but the buffalo shrimp and fish taco were very bland.
Nice restaurant to hang out with family/friends and watch the games or the debates🤪.
The nachos and margaritas are a killer combo every time.
Chase was amazing! Definitely looking forward to going back!
Great service from Grace!
Great food and great music/ambience! The outdoor seating was really nice.
Awesome experience! Felt safe, Charlie is a fantastic manager. He actually engages with staff and customers! I will definitely be returning.
I genuinely enjoy Mission Navy Yard's food. However, this was the second time I came to this establishment, and those handling our food did not have their nose or mouth completely covered. As a customer, I am aware of the risks of attending a public establishment during a pandemic, but I do feel that it is important that we all do our part. Mission has great food and drinks. I hope that they will abide by the safety rules and guidelines and cover their face. If I am wearing a mask as a customer to protect those around me, the staff should do the same.
The rockfish taco was heaven in my mouth!!!! I will be back!!!
Great job social distancing. Food was fast, cheap happy hour and delicious!
Great bar, this was my first time there and it was pretty cool. Great atmosphere on NFL Sundays! I'm from out of town was visiting my daughter. She had been there before and recommended the place. Great choice.
Despite reservation we had to wait and then got a table in seclusion. Menu is not great and kitchen would not offer lower carb or gluten free substitutions on the few menu items where that would have been fairly easy.
Won’t be back.
First and won't be the last time we brunch there! My friends and I had such a blast. We all appreciated the precautionary measures Mission was taking to prevent any guest or staff member from feeling as though they were unsafe due to COVID-19.
I always have the BEST experience. Great service & people & the food is delicious. I’m obsessed with the vegan tacos & guac!
Greet place to grab drinks and watch the game! Our server Laura was excellent will definitely be back!
Great spot to watch football with an exclusive football menu.
We enjoyed sitting outside. When I saw that the table was directly next to the street, I was concerned that traffic would be noisy and cars going past would bother us. I honestly didn't even notice traffic once during the meal. The food was great and the service was as well.
Great atmosphere to watch football games. A nice way to spend a beautiful afternoon on the patio
Fantastic spot to meet friends and grab drinks. 20s demographic; will be my go to spot post-COVID
We made a reservation for a hightop table, but we were seated at the bar instead. It took the bartenders 30 minutes to finally serve us after they fought over who had to come take our order.
One of my favorite places!!!! The quesadilla and guacamole are always amazing and the service is wonderful
Sat outside on the balcony at sunset for appetizers and cocktails. We had a very personable and attentive waitress (unfortunately do not recall her name- new to the area from Louisiana). The appetizers were quick and hot. Overall would recommend
I made the reservation for 5:45. My friends arrived at 5:35 and they would not seat them. They called me at 5:50 and I explained I was walking in my friends were there could they please seat them. They wouldn’t. When I arrived they complained to each other how I had just made the reservation an hour ago and they don’t have the table. So why would it show? The manager then said he didn’t have a reservation for me and he didn’t know what to do. They finally seated us 10 minutes later and while walking to the table I noticed all the tables and bar was empty. We were then sat in a corner at a normal table after I asked for a high top table in the reservation because we wanted to watch the games.
I go here often and service is always hot and miss, it’s either amazing(most of the time) or awful. It was so hard to get anyone to take our order, and the bottomless wasn’t worth it at all bc within the time limit we were only able to get 2 until the very end when we asked for refills before we were even half way done.
They put us at the very back of the restaurant in a very bland area. We asked to be moved. They said their good seats were already reserved but we reserved a week in advance for a table
The view was great, and everyone was very nice and accommodating. Thank you Angelo for your great service.
Seated outside, horrible service, not good brunch cocktails. Not worth the price of bottomless brunch. Waitress was un-attentive.
Understaffed but busy. Forgotten orders. Long waits. Not a great experience
The food was fair at best. The service was terrible, the waitress was more interested to converse with co-workers than serving. She stayed hanging at the bar in between visits to the table. If we needed or wanted additional service we had to motion her over. One particular instance the manager while passing saw our discontent with not be Ming to get her attention. He directed her to the table, however her desire to converse with co-workers continued throughout the remainder of our dining experience. 👎🏾👎🏾
Food was great as always, the vibe is great.
Unfortunately, our server literally kicked us out. I understand during these times that time limits are put in place for a reason. However, as we walked out we noticed numerous open tables, within the social distancing guidelines still available. On top of that, there were a couple tables that had arrived before us, yet were not asked to leave and still were comfortably enjoying their brunch while we were rudely asked to leave.
It may have been a rogue server attempting to make more money on the day, but it still probably the most rude experience I have had with a server. Disappointing.
This is a great place with great food. Their guacamole is fantastic! The COVID situation has cramped their style a bit. The draft beer selection is skimpy and there is not yet any seating other than with tall chairs that I find uncomfortable. I hope they can change these two things soon!
Tasty and colorful food. A good brunch experience
Very small drinks
This isn't authentic Mexican food which was disappointing to me. But, the service and atmosphere was excellent.
The whole experience was amazing! Great food, drinks and service! Can’t wait to come back!
I was really excited to try mission after settling into DC. I had heard great reviews, especially for brunch.
It started out great. Service was wonderful and it was nice to have a pitcher of water to refill our own.
The portions were great for the price point and the ingredients were light and fresh yet filling.
The downfalls were the orange crush and mistakes in food. For $9, the drink had a good amount of alcohol but wasn’t a classic orange crush. It tasted like watered down vodka and orange juice, and was in the same cup as the small cups given for water.
As stated, the food was delicious. I had the tinga bowl and my partner the breakfast burrito. We both loved our food, but realized that we had been charged $15 for the burrito rather than $14 as the menu stated. We figured the $1 wasn’t worth the fuss, so we left.
I realized upon returning home that not only had we been overcharged or mischarged for the burrito, but it also didn’t come with the home fries as also stated on the menu. Not sure if there were menu changes not accurately reflected or just a mistake by the kitchen, but it makes the $1 overcharge a bit of a bigger deal.
The food was good, atmosphere was nice, but probably won’t make this a regular spot of mine.
