Mission D&A is a pop-up dining/ event space put on by Chefs David Nayfeld & Pastry Chef Angela Pinkerton.
The concepts and menus of the events will change every few weeks. Some dinners are reservation only and some, walk-ins are encouraged. We are a loud and lively space, where we encourage you to relax, get in the spirit and have fun. We look forward to cooking for you!

Current Events:

BURGER NIGHT: every Wednesday night 6 - 9p. Walk-in, fast casual service. Sample menu below.

FAMILY MEAL: Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights: Sept 15 - Oct 7th. Family style service and seating. Reservations highly suggested, one limited seating at 7:30pm. $80 including wine pairings.

This was my second visit and food was excellent. It's was open seating /family style. Everyone was friendly and we passed bowls around of the food. I enjoyed the comradery. Chef David and Chef Angela are excellent. Creative non pretentious loved the intimacy of being part of this and I can't wait to visit the new restaurant when it opens.

Truly one of the best additions to SF restaurants in 2016! Don't miss a chance to go while they're still open. The vibe and care is outstanding and makes you happy to be in this complicated city where art and culture is sometimes secondary to technology.

Super noisy and food was served family style meaning it all comes out in big plates and you pass it around. Food was ok. Not bad but I expected more from these chefs. The noise level was really annoying. I hate being hoarse the next day because I had to yell across the table to converse.

If my experience at Mission D&A is indicative in any way of the quality of food and dining experience that can be expected at Che Fico, then Angela and David can expect to get tired of seeing my happy bearded face!! Great food, zero pretentious attitudes and just lots of fun. I can't wait for next month's pop up theme!!

Every course was subpar. I expected more from chefs from Eleven Madison Park. The food lacked flavor and technique. The meal was a complete waste of money. I would not recommend.

This is pop-up and me and my husband attended during their last month which was family meal style. This means grab as much as you want kind of meal. We left stuffed and very happy. The ambiance was the best part about this dining experience from hip-hop playing in the background, to the very kind hosts and cooks asking if you needed any more food or alcohol, to the wonderfully designed restaurant. The least pretentious pre-fixe meal I have had. The food is experimental, which the hosts inform you of before hand, but overall we enjoyed the meal. Also loved that it was vegetarian friendly, there were only two dishes of the nine we couldn't eat.

This is a very friendly, seated dinner, and makes you feel a part of a community while eating. There were not many veg options but it still was a great meal and enjoyed the chefs explain their vision and to see what's to come from them!

This was my third time at Mission D&A (Mama Galina, Burger Night and Bistronomy). Each time has been a special and different experience. It feels like a dinner with friends, if you are friends with world class cooks who serve amazing wine and beer.

I went to Mission D & A with a group of friends. Overall, we really enjoyed the food. However, the music was so overwhelmingly loud I could not hear my dining companions. We asked several times if the music could be turned down and were told no each time--it seems the chef thought it was important for the "energy" of the room. I wish I could recommend this experience to friends, but there's not much point in going out if you can't have a conversation.

Tried it for their Bistronomy Night. We had four coursers, and an appetizer made of home fries with a dijonnaise, dill flowers and homemade pickles, a scrumptious salad with lettuce wedges, beets, and a delicious dressing, and main course consisting of tasty and tender pork chop accompanied by fresh corn kernels with pluots with a to die for polenta. Lastly, desert was a light and almost airy Jasmine rice pudding with peaches and grainola (not miss spelled) which really finished the meal perfectly. Oh yeah and the Beaujolais paired nicely. Ambience was homey and relaxed. I can't wait to see what they will offer next.

Mission D&A (bistronomy) was exceptional overall. The fixed menu was fantastic, each course was more satisfying than the next. I cleaned every plate I had and was full by the end. Each course was very well balanced in size and flavor. We did a pairings with the entree and dessert which were perfect! The technical mastery in cooking, presentation, and service is apparent throughout the meal. I'm searching in my head for criticism or negative feedback and honestly can't find any. I enjoyed myself a lot, and felt it was worth every penny. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Two amazingly talented 11 Madison Park alums plus one brilliant concept equals outstanding flavor combinations, superb creativity and execution in every dish! Tasteful, classy, warm and friendly. Can't wait until they come up with the next concept!!

Hard to review a pop-up. This was a communal experience: fixed menu, served family-style. (IE, no individual dishes). We had 4 tickets, and 2 joined us at our 6-person table. The dining room was fully booked. This was an interesting way to use the space -- but the crowd was obviously not from the 'hood. (Not necessarily a problem in my eyes, but does add fuel to the gentrification fires.) Food: All delicious, but all very simple "peasant" fare. I won't list the menu, since it won't be replicated. An experience worthwhile. Keep an eye on this pair of chefs.

I loved the communal dining experience and the space was small enough that it felt like we were guests in the chef's home. The food was incredible and the wine was perfectly matched. I would definitely come here again with friends. The only downside was that it was very loud which made it hard to socialize.

It was a great experience and great food. Love the Russian cuisine re-worked.. The staff was very nice, easy going.. feels like you are eating dinner with your close friends.. a very good dinner ;)

After finding the Roosevelts closed, we were able to reserve to seats ten minutes before the seating. What a delight! The food was wonderful and the energy was vibrant! Great presentations and great family teamwork in the kitchen. We had a wonderful time! Spasibo!
