One of the worst meals I’ve had. If we had been able to get another restaurant reservation we would have left but we’re on a tight schedule and decided not to walk out. Every once in a while we would get a smell of sewage when we first sat down and when we asked they said they had an issue with their bathroom. We moved to another table and didn’t notice it the rest of the meal. I ordered a stake that was terribly full of fat and gristle and I left most of it on the plate. My wife’s dinner was mediocre at best. We don’t mind paying for a quality meal and felt this was below average at best. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Albeit a quiet Thursday evening dining experience, Mission Bistro did not disappoint. The service, meal (presentation and taste!), and ambiance exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be back!!!

Crab cakes, fries and burger were beyond delicious. However- the Cesar Salad was terrible, wilted romaine lettuce, a ton of the butt pieces, drowning in a not good dressing. Our server was not attentive at all, she really let the server assistant attend us. She didnt even come and check in, was talking to cook/chef. Mind you cook/chef saw me looking for her didnt bother to notify her. So we flagged down the gracious server attendant, who ultimately brought the check. Disappointing experience.

Our waitress had zero personality and she was very dry and serious, my dinner had a very bitter taste , like too much of ginger, mentioned that to our waitress she had no reaction didn’t offer any solution, my noodles was cold another waiter brought me warm noodles which that part was my fault I should pay more attention to the details of the menu which I was mentioned that the noodles were served cold . We spend over $100 and , Overall the experience was terrible, service was terrible the food was awful , restaurants itself looked very nice.

I had the chicken special and it was far from special. It had little flavor and was dry and over cooked. Not to mention the $48 charge for a bland very small half chicken. The vegetables it came with were okay but all and all not worth almost fifty dollars. If you are to charge that kind of money make sure it is worth it to your customer

Great menu selection. I love the Steak Frites and Cioppino also the Bistro Salad with chicken, steaks or shrimp. Service is very attentive and the Owner is usually there to make you feel extra welcomed.

Our service was strange. We were seated outside and had several flies flying around that ended up in our food and wine. We understand that happens, but the way it was handled by the staff was odd. We asked for new glasses since we had several flies in the wine. Instead, our server poured out the fly wine in the bushes behind us and poured the entirety of the rest of our bottle into the same glass. He offered us a couple of napkins to cover the glasses with to block new flies. We found flies in the newly poured wine. We were immediately brought a new bottle of wine that we never asked for and when we asked about it said it wouldn’t be comped. It was a odd way to handle the fly situation and left a bad impression of the restaurant while otherwise the food was good.

the spaghetti vongole was without salt and with sand. The starter squids were good. I thought it was a lack of cordiality that the waitress already brought my card bill with 23% tip. I don't know if I would give it all.

What a treat! The restaurant is a beautifully quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the main drag on Ocean and you are welcomed with open arms as if an old friend. The food was absolutely delicious and a great combination of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. We couldn't decide on dessert so we got two and split them, both just the right ending to a wonderful meal. I will definitely be going back in the future.

The waffles were probably the best I’ve ever had, the fruit on top was like they picked it out that day. My partner had the eggs Benedict and even in photos it made people jealous. Our server was great and since it was an early eat, the place was quiet but still very pleasant. .. I’m still thinking about those waffles 🤤🤤

Had to send the wife’s steak back three times in order to have it cooked correctly. Asked to keep my warm which totally dried out the swordfish. No apologies other than the waiter’s “I’m sorry.” No manager or leader ever checked on us. This restaurant does not set the standard.

I brought my company here for an awards dinner last year and it was outstanding! Wine pricing and selection is one of the best I have ever seen. This weekend I took my twins as one was just reassigned to Monterey's DLI to the restaurant. Again, it was absolutely outstanding. The cherry bread pudding was one of the best desserts I've ever had (recipe please). Everything was great including the service..Bravo!

Made a reservation during Car Week, the only option was outside seating. They have a couple tables out front & a few more in the alley way next to the restaurant. Wanting to sit out front & watch the cars drive by, we waited a few minutes for a soon to be available table. The hostess was very accommodating & receptive about it all. Our experience got even better from there, the service was lighting quick & the food was amazing. A starter, drinks, two entrees & even dessert in under an hour during what’s probably their busiest time. Our server provided some of the best service ever! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

They had items on the menu that weren't available, no calamari steak sandwich. Plan B was black cod with soba noodles that was overly seasoned (and I like seasoning). Waited forever for our check. We would have had dessert, but we had sat there so long we decided to go to Carmel Bakery.

We celebrated a big anniversary #40 with MB. They did not disappoint! My husband had the Short rib ravioli which was wonderful with an amazing Shallot Cognac cream sauce. I had the Clam and Scallop Linguine which was loaded up and covered with plenty of flavorful seafood broth. At the end of our meal, they surprised us with a lovely slice of chocolate cake that was heavenly. We would definitely go back!

First the food was fantastic. We had: Clam chowder. Bistro salad. Salmon. Black cod. All excellent. I was impressed that the waitress changed our silverware between courses for clean silverware. The service was excellent. From the greeter at the front door to the waitress to everyone! My only feedback would be the by the glass wine selection. We were not able to find a wine for our palates.

The brunch was excellent!! Their smoked salmon & mushroom omelette with arugula & cream fresh was amazing!! Fabulous roasted little potatoes and their bacon is delicious!! Also got the mixed berries too!! We. Love it so much we came back next morning and had the same things!!!

Our first visit. The ambiance was very good. The house salad was great. My request to substitute lettuces was fine. My wife enjoyed the chicken vegetable soup. I had swordfish and my wife had the black cod. She is very picky with fish and really enjoyed her dinner. The staff took care of desert as there was a delay in getting our order, but it was good and worth the wait. We will be back.

We were seated immediately when getting there. Even though we had specified outside we were given the choice of inside given the weather. The heaters were turned on immediately and lots of attention was paid to us without staff being overbearing or annoying, the food was good.

Greeted by a very nice hostess who immediately took care of our reservation and offered several choice for seating our party of 5. Our waitress was attentive to us and made us feel welcomed. Wine service was timely and our experience started off at an easy pace. As we progressed I got the feeling that service staff were stretched thin on a Sunday evening. Orders were taken and served in a timely manner. Unfortunately one of the Star ingredients was not in the seafood chippino. The waitress made it correct in a quick way with an apology. Al’s in all we enjoyed our dinner and the visit to Mission Bistro.
